Villa Betania is a small, family-managed hotel in a green park, only a 20 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence. The area has great bus services.
Score from 361 reviews Excellent
Beautiful, renovated villa. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff and great breakfast.
A bit far from central Florence.
Large room and modern bathroom. We were right next door to the breakfast room which was nice. Lovely garden, although make sure you use some spray if sitting out at night as I got bitten which never happens. Parking is good, there is lots of space for free parking in the side street where the hotel is situated. We had no problem finding a space at any time.
The only bad thing was that its set on a main road out of town so there is a lot of traffic noise when you have the windows open.
breakfast was good parking available on the street but the signs saying no parking are confusing
no communal area or living room to relay in. there is a small area in the basement but it isn't up to much
Staff was pleasant and eager to help. Room was very nice with a high ceiling and a four-posters bed. Location is very good to visit the Boboli park (10mn walk) and the city (20mn walk). Discounted price was good for us.
No elevator. Breakfast was average. The breakfast room is small (4 tables) and congested : better to get up early not to sit on somebody else's knees
Clean spacious hotel comfortable rooms with nice facilities in the apartment we had. Very easy walk into Florence. Easy to get to and park the car.
Wery clean and nice, Friendly staff
Little bit far from the old city
Very good location of nice villa. Villa has private garden and living room with lot of useful information on Firenze. Newly decorated comfortable place. Host was very helpful in sorting out car problems we had, we wouldn't manage without him!
environment,building style, room style
We loved everything about this place
Breakfast meal was excellent, varied and plentiful.
Air con appeared a bit hit and miss.
We didn't expect this kind of room for this price. kitchen , bedroom, terrace... it was very good!
It's a little far from city centre , we have to take bus to get there ; The adress is wrong on booking.com , so we didn't find easily the hotel , otherwise if you have the right information it's very easy to find.
This is a very nice villa in a quiet neighborhood. Great location, easy walk to Ponte Vecchio and the older part of the city. Breakfast was quite nice, fresh continental with several choices. The cappuccino machine broke one morning so the owner went to a different area to get us some and hand delivered it minutes later, which I felt went over and above in service, and the machine was repaired by the next morning. The rooms were immaculate, very tastefully decorated traditional Italian villa. In planning day trips, one of the other owners supplied us with maps, directions and the name of an out of the way area we would never have considered, but thoroughly enjoyed. The pricing was excellent as well. I would definitely come again!
My fault; but I didn't get driving directions and got lost on the way. Make sure you are prepared for driving in Florence!
Everything is neat here. Owners speak very good English and were helpful with booing of restaurants etc. wifi worked perfectly. Location was convenient and road side parking easily available.
Our apartment faced the main road and it could be really noisy thru out the day. A bit of disrepairs during our stay - curtains fell off, planks from sofa bed fell off, shower head couldn't sit properly, erratic hot water supply.
The hotel is beautiful. We booked a room and got an apartment for the same price. Cleaning and perfect comfort. Normal breakfast. It takes 15 min. walk to reach the center but have a bus stop 3 minutes from the hotel (bus 36 and 37).
Mosquitoes. We went in late September. and there were still many mosquitoes. Bring repellent
We all met Simone and my brother met Paolo and they are great. The place is cute and the garden is beautiful. It is extremely easy to reach city centre by bus and they give you all the information you may need. The room with a pc, books and coffee machine was a good surprise. If going to Firenze again, will definitely stay there.
The internet wasn't working properly at all times, but you could actually see them worried and working on it. We didn't even complain but got the breakfast for free, which wasn't included on our deal.
beautiful, beautiful place....
The villa is really nice with very beatiful garden. The staff is kind and helpful.
No A/C available in Apartment, and many mosquitos (its Sep), the location is just Okey, you better take bus go to downtown:36A, 37. If you can find place to buy ticket is very convenient.
