Set on the island of Lido di Venezia, Albergo Rigel has air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV. Venice is just a 15 minute boat trip away and the beach is a 10 minute walk.
Score from 529 reviews Very good

Villa Gabriella is a small guest house on Lido Island, home to the Venice Film Festival. This historic Art Nouveau building features a large terrace with views of the Adriatic Sea. Rooms are spacious....
Score from 101 reviews Very good
Luca at the front desk was always cheerful and helpful. Easy walk to the vaporetto.
Quiet location only a short stroll from main street and vaporetto stop on Venice Lido. Even shorter stroll to beach. This is a great location if you want to be slightly away from central Venice and the waterbus journey from Lido to San Marco makes the travel into town a joyous way to start your visits to Venice.
No coffee or tea making facilities in rooms. Many (too many) Italian TV channels but I could not find English language news channel such as BBC world service or CNN. The hotel closes in winter due to lack of custom and central heating - I guess the rooms could be cold if the weather is unseasonably cold. Continental breakfast is adequate but could benefit from more variety of breads/meats/cheeses, or some cooked options.
Outside was nice.
Hotel noisy, hear next door up above outside in passageway. Mould in bathroom. Mirror could not see clearly. Tired looking needing attention.
quiet area, yet very easy connection to the centre of Venice
I liked it all
friendly staff, good location, quiet, lovely Venetian furniture in the bedroom
The outstanding attitude of the stuff & hotel environment .
The dark decoration and colors of the room and lobby .
Location, quiet and peaceful, good shower
Poor service, poor breakfast, uncomfortable beds, boring outdated hotel, furnishings and decoration tired.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely hotel retaining its original features.
Shower was a little small and there could have been more choice at breakfast but this in no way detracted from how much we liked the hotel.
Room, bed & bathroom were comfortable & air con worked efficiently. Our room was quiet too.
Staff (particularly night staff) were not at all helpful. Breakfast was very limited & basic - fortunately there are great take-aways on the way to the port.
Almost all of it. No storage. No Full lenght mirror. No air con. No nice touches. No decent pillows. Very small room. No dressing table. devoid of any character. No confortable chairs in the garden. No drinks available.
For 3 people we've got a double room with 2 double beds, clean room with a clean an renovated bathroom. Staff was very helpful and friendly. For russian-speaking people there is a very nice waitress.
Breakfast was the same every day.
Very close to the beach, nice faded charm of the building, lovely neighbourhood, quiet and authentic. It was a pleasure!
All around a good stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms nice. Free breakfast included.
No air conditioning, and no mosquito nets on the windows meant we were too hot every night. The fan in the room helped but it didn't solve out problem. The wifi was very expensive to use as well. No free wifi, not even in the lobby.
Lovely place our second visit this year
Surprisingly nice garden and building, good breakfast, great value, perfect location. If you have a few days in Venice in the summer, spend them on Lido and just do the tourist craziness of the proper island in small doses!
Wi-fi is not free, but at least it is fast.
Excellent value for money. Very friendly staff, good location.
Good location, friendly stuff, our room was clean and cute.
Really poor breakfast, I expected more from 3star Hotel.
Close to the beach, well maintained, quiet area.
Front desk staff friendly Good breakfast in the morning. Clean rooms for a good nights rest Good price
Payment for Wi-Fi was inconvenient.
Breakfast View from room Courtyard Quaint room Great restaurants nearby Excellent coffee Not noisy and crowded like Venice but easy to get around once you figure out how to use ferry
Needed better directions from ferry station Needed better information on how to get to cruise dock
All the staff were very kind and helpful,I couldn't fault them, helping me with trips etc.
Although I have no major issues I felt that the room could really have been brought up to a better standard-especially the bathroom.
Breakfast was lovely on the terrace.
No air con in the room only fan...hot at night!!
Great location, comfortable and friendly staff.
Why do some hotels continue to charge for wifi? It really is unnecessary, a small thing but irritating.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood on the isle of Lido.
Can't walk to the hotel from the vaporetto station to the hotel with luggage. The shower stall had mold and mildew so we got a cleaner room. The Lido beach is no longer grand with the famous luxury hotel there closed.
