We really enjoyed staying here and would come back!
I came here with two friends and the hotel was incredible. The hotel staff were so helpful! they went above and beyond for us. there was even a porter to collect and take your bags on arrival and departure so you didn't need to drag them up and down the steps! (although wish we'd remembered this when we arrived!) Daniela was amazing booking excursions and restaurants and gave us advice on travel and what was great to visit and she did not disappoint. The excursion to Pompeii and the Sorrentino vineyard was amazing. Daniela got us a trip with a guy called Nello who takes you by car. It was fanatstic and possibly one of my favourite days. Tony was also great in the evenings... even though we bugged him for bottle openers or wine in the bar most nights! Everyone was so friendly, from Breakfast to desk staff to cleaners. We felt very welcome and I would definitley go back to this hotel again. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Vittoria, from Jennifer, Emily and Rochelle!
The only thing that is a slight pain is the steps to the beach (which is not the hotel's fault but the nature of the landscape)... however if you are visiting the Amalfi Coast and Positano you should be prepared for that everywhere!... on the plus side my legs are much more toned after going up and down hill for 6 days! The road route is much gentler and only slightly longer as a helpful hint... just watch out for Vespas!
I travelled to Positano and stayed in Hotel Vittoria with a friend for 5 nights. We were money conscious and found the Hotel at a reasonable price. When we got to the hotel we were greeted by hotel staff member Daniella. She was absolutely fantastic and told us all we needed about the hotel and information for our stay. She also personally showed us to our room. We had a twin room booked. The hotels cleanliness is unbelievable. One of the cleanest hotels ive stayed at. The room was a good size and perfect for what we needed. The bathroom was also big which was a bonus (a woman always appreciates a nice bathroom) And outside we had a small balcony with a partial city view. Breakfast was included and had a.good range of food. The best part of it was the real coffee that they served (REAL coffee = heaven in the morning) Overall great hotel and would highly recommend it. The only other thing Is that its not directly in the centre of Positano but easy walking distance (less than 10 mins)
There wasn't much I didn't like. There were a few stairs leading down to the hotel but nothing massive!
We loved the views. Breakfast was great. Clean and very spacious room. Awesome shower
There was no fridge to keep snacks or wine
The staff were friendly. The location was fantastic with a leisurely stroll of just 15 minutes into the town centre. The lift takes you down and then it's not too much of a walk (approx 200 steps) down to Fornillo beach where the staff were excellent. The room was huge and our superior terrace was lovely (very big).
Only downside was the double bed was two singles pushed together.
The rooms are very well designed and comfortable. We stayed at the top floor. The rooms that we stayed had a terace and an amazing view.
the room was spacious and the reception staff were very good, particularly Daniela who was exceptionally friendly and helpful and made the stay more pleasurable as a result.
No hot food at breakfast
Great Staff!!! Quite location, nice size rooms.
The hotel was lovely! Amazing view from the main patio where you can have drinks and where breakfast is served. Room was spacious and clean. Nice to have an elevator to bring you a bit closer to the beach where you can rent chairs/umbrella and have food and drinks. It is easy to get to and from town. Staff is helpful and kind. We came here for a 'babymoon' and it was perfect. I was sad to leave!
Internet is only available in the main reception/patio area. Would be nice to have it in room as well.
Its a very beautiful place, view. Near is the beach which is better than main big beach! Rooms are really nice.
Just know, that if you have bags, just ask before to help you at the place where you arrive! But it snot a minus, just a good info. Wi fi works only at reception and not really good :(
Away from the main part which meant it was a little less busy, views were brilliant and the staff were lovely and really helpful
The steps! But then you shouldn't go to positano if you don't like a lot on up and down walks!
Can highly recommend the hotel Vittorio! From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome by Danielle the receptionist - nothing was too much trouble! Hotel facilities are wonderful. From the lovely (partial view) balcony from which we could see as much sea as you would want to!, to the clean, white and bright rooms with their beautiful ceramic tiled floors and amazing bathroom facilities. A short walk down, if you're active (of 200 steps ) is a pleasant jaunt while admiring the beautiful sea - nice brisk swim before breakfast in June and then the 200 steps back up prepared you for a lovely buffet breakfast in the warm sunshine on the bar deck with glorious bougainvillea climbing along the trellises. Thanks also to the superhuman porters!
Beautiful, boutique hotel that's tucked away from the busy part of Positano (which is a good thing!). Our room was a standard room with a "town view" and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are very attentive and accommodating. The location of this hotel is amazing if you want to spend your time relaxing on a quiet, semi-private beach, the hotel itself is located 220 steps above the private beach which has an awesome beach bar with great sandwiches, drinks and salads. The hotel's sister restaurant (Pupetto) was where we had one of the best meals during our stay in Positano - certainly worth having a meal there. The free breakfasts in the morning in the Hotel Vittoria lobby were perfect -- nice variety of everything.
Wish the free wifi was available in the guest rooms as opposed to just the lobby. Do not recommend that guests staying there bring a huge suitcase because its very hard to carry it while climbing up & down stairs stone stairways to get to the hotel.
Me and my wife were travelling to Postitano for the first time and came across this property through booking.com. We read great reviews about this property and the property lived up to each and every expectation. The rooms were neat and clean. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Daniealla, she helped us in booking the tour to Capri, arranging the taxi to Naples and also suggested some good places to eat at. In fact at this place, they go that extra step to make sure that you are comfortable. I remember one night i was feeling very hungry and most of the places to eat were shut down, the staff was extremely sweet to give me some fruits, chesse and toast in the middle of the night. One day it started raining unexpectedly and the hotel staff was extremely sweet and provided with umbrellas also. I highly recommend this place and would love to visit again.
That there was no wifi in the room.
Staff Hotel View
No Wi-Fi in the room.
Positano is a beautiful village, actually one of the best ones on the coastline of Amalfi. This hotel is conveniently located near the beach. Loved it! Will come back.
Wifi is only in the lobby and not in the rooms but who needs internet in paradise?!
Location was amazing as was the hotel restaurant and the private beach. Staff were extremely helpful.
Bar fridge would have been a nice extra.
Position was in a quieter area but an easy walk to main marina. Wonderful views from hotel terraces.Great restaurant quality and moderate prices. The staff, especially Daniella, was very helpful and accommodating.
The stairs back from the beach get tiring but that is par for the course in Positano.
Big rooms with shutters on windows, nice main balcony for breakfast ,lovely walk between beaches.steps not too bad
The staff wete fantastic and our room and bathroom was extremely spacious and clean! Lived that the location was a little more private and not in the heart of the city centre but still easily accessible to it!
Wifi was only available in the reception area and not your room.
Location was great, quiet but within easy reach of beach, restaurants & town. Our room had an amazing view! Reception staff super helpful & friendly.
Room was basic but clean.
Where to even begin! I can hands down say Hotel Vittoria is my new favorite hotel ever! Taking everything into account, the staff, the views, the private beach club. It was beyond any and all expectations! Upon arrival, they will set up a porter for you. These men are amazing! They can carry hundreds of pounds luggage as if it's nothing at all! We walked in and were greeted by Daniella (The most amazing, hospitable, helpful hotel staffer I've ever encountered!) She showed us to our room, which was SO spacious! Lovely sea view balcony. It said partial, but it was pretty much the entire ocean! After this, we walked down to Pupetto Beach Bar, which is a little heaven away from the insanely crowded main beach of Positano! It seemed like a lot of the Italian locals come and stay on this side of town, to get away from the crazy tourists! Not to mention, if you are a guest of Vittoria, you get 10% off of everything! BEST MOJITOS I've ever had! It's only a short 7 min walk into town (We timed it) and there you can find all the italian shops, gelato, ect! The Hotel has very many good restaurants near it as well if you don't feel like walking into town! Daniella helped us with all of our reservations! She even booked us a scooter to enjoy the Amalfi Coast on! All in all our experience was nothing short of magic! I will miss wine on the upper deck, and our amazing rain shower with a view! We want to get back to Positano as soon as possible, and there is no doubt we will stay at Hotel Vittoria again! Thank you Daniella and staff for making this stay the best part of our three week trip!
Loved the staff at the reception who were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, spacious and well serviced and although a little away from the main town centre it was easily available.
The only problem is with access to the beach and back. It's quite a way down and coming back will be a struggle if you're not fit. It's a sharp decline on the stairs and there are about 200 steps. Although the beach area is beautiful and well serviced.
Refurbished room, the very best capuchino we have ever had in all our European travel, made by the senior gentlemen every breakfast !! Very clean!
Some variety for breakfast offerings would be good for those staying longer than 2-3 days. A couple of the light globes on the walking track down to the beach need to be replaced to make the night walk back to the hotel safer on steps - we loved the hotel, but could be difficult for seniors and those not fit as there are around 250 steps down to the beach. The LCD television in the room was absolutely tiny, given these are cheap a larger set should have been installed for the position in the room
friendly staff. neat rooms. amazing views.
too few pillows. wifi only upstairs and only one gadget per room at any given time. my partner and i both business owners and we could not access our emails at the same time.
