Great Location overlooking the harbour

A little bit dated and I thought that although we received a discounted rate forthe single nigt stay, I had previously stayed at another hotel which was far far superior and was some 35 euros per night cheaper

Everything, It's a gem of a Hotel, very Italian, basic but just the job for staying and going out during the day. Don't change a thing please, it's great as it is. Go for the balcony lake view rooms. Enjoy!

The position is perfect, the view of the harbour from our balcony was beautiful, breakfast was good, very friendly hotel.

Once slight downside, no parking at the Hotel, you have to park a few minutes away at a charge. Otherwise nothing.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel Vitorrio is in a great location overlooking the harbour, the lake and the mountains. There are over 80 restaurants within walking distance of the front door - and each one as good as the next. We flew to Verona and caught the Aerobus to Verona train station, then the train to Desenzano, and walked down the hill to the hotel. All in all a fabulous holiday.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights and enjoyed every minute of our holiday/ honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of choice, including scrambled egg and bacon which my husband enjoyed. We had asked for a room with balcony overlooking the lake and were delighted when we arrived to find that our room had a view of the lake and harbour. All around the hotel there are ample bars and places to eat, and the ice cream.......heaven! We will be booking this hotel for our 1st anniversary next year.

There was nothing that we didnt like about this hotel that we didnt like.

The hotel is easy to get to. We flew to Verona then airport shuffle bus to train station and 20mins on train to Desenzano We pulled our bags down the hill there and got a taxi back up. We loved our large terrace on the 4th floor overlooking the lake and harbour. It even has a sun lounger! The bed was changed every 3 days,The receptionists were very helpful as to travel arrangements and restaurants. One had even looked up where Jersey was.The hotel is in Desenzano where boats and buses are easily available. The Tuesday market is huge and right outside the door.Usual stalls and lovely food. Service at breakfast was very good.

Breakfast could have more variety i.e. poached eggs to order. Scrambled egg was ok if you arrived when it was just put out but not so good 20 mins later. Hot dog sausages and fried speck did not look good. Hot water was not hot enough. As I had told the hotel that it was my husbands 60th whilst we were there I think they could have given him some little gesture of acknowledgement.

locartion right on the lake with a balcony (on reqest) Rooms were adequate for a weeks stay. The hotel was clean and spacious. The staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a wide range of foods so everyone would fing something to eat.

Lack of a hotel bar. the attached/adjoining restaurant charged a cover charge of €2 per person for drinks

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel , the location was perfect and it was great value for money , staff were very helpful and spoke english

The Location is perfect with the beautiful Lake Garda just across the road and the old harbour and piazza filled with restaurants and cafe's right next door. We used it as a stop over between Nice and Venice . I only wish we could have stayed longer . Highly recommend it

Very friendly helpful staff. Location is excellent, very convenient for the ferries and buses, although quite a walk to the station for trains to Verona, Milan etc. Rooms on the front of the hotel overlook the harbour/port, with beautiful views of Lake Garda. Very pleasant hotel. Good breakfast, comfortable beds, but bad pillows!

Although the shower itself was good, the shower curtain was a nightmare! Cheap flimsy curtain that constantly grabbed you! Very unpleasant. A nice shower door would solve this problem.

We found the reception staff warm and welcoming on arrival and helpful throughout our stay. Although the communal areas were dated are room was modern, bright with a beautiful view of the harbour.

Location. Variety and quality of breakfast foods. Constant flow of water in shower (weather was hot). Curtains kept room dark for sleeping. Room quiet despite being on seafront road. Room had balcony and seaview. Internet access. Air-conditioned rooms.

We put the do not disturb sign on before going for breakfast but when we got back our room had been cleaned

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. A room with a balcony is a must as the harbour views are breath taking, The staff couldnt do enough for us and the room itself was fine,

The shower was a little small,but maybe I just need to lose weight! I do think that tea/coffee facilities would enhance the experience for guests.Could I also suggest more info about train times in the hotel as my wife and I almost missed our flight home because we didnt realise how infrequent the trains were between Desenzano and Verona station on a Saturday!

A lovely old Hotel in best position in Desenzano. staff polite and very helpful but not over the top. Fabulous stay would recommend for it's charm character and location
