Perfect location, staff is very friendly and English speaking, very nice room
A little bit noisy
My experience at the welcome house could not be faulted. Clean rooms, staff who went above and beyond and a lovely breakfast to begin our days.
Everything was perfect
Close to everything, attractions, restaurants and shopping. Welcome House is in a charming old building that gives you the feeling of being a resident in Rome not a visitor.
location. bad. bathroom. everything was perfect! especially staff was so nice. Domus livia was so kind.
reception is not 24h open. But it's ok
Just returned from a trip to Rome via Venice. We Stayed at the Welcome House and from the moment we stepped inside the hotel area we certainly felt welcomed! The host couldn't be any more helpful if she tried. She showed us to our room and it was all very pleasant. breakfast is self serve however they do provide fresh croissants and rolls to your door from 8am. Breakfast isn't much but who cares when you have fresh food and ample choice around ever street corner! The value is excellent, we paid for 3 nights at very short notice and had an adequate, quiet room with air conditioning. Our stay was subject to change and we may have required an extra night ( in the end we did ) which the host was good with, arranged for our room at the same cost even though it was a special deal. The location is superb, it is approx. 10 mins walk to the train station from the hotel - 30 mins from the airport to Roma termini and is within very easy reach of all the tourist attractions! If you can/ like a walk ( like we do ) then take advantage of this, getting on the bus sounds great but you will miss out on the little gems. There is so much to see in Rome that you should be selective and then see what else you stumble across. This is nothing to do with the hotel but note worthy for travellers going to Rome. The Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Colosseum were under a little construction - how long this is going on for i'm not sure. In short- great hotel, great service, great location. Certainly recommend! Have a good one if you visit. quick note- MAKE SURE YOU BOOK TO SEE THE COLOSSEUM AND VATICAN MUSEUMS IN ADVANCE ONLINE. DON'T TURN UP- YOU WILL QUEUE AND WASTE YOUR DAY! We booked in advance and watched the other punters moan while licking a gelato.
location was really good. close to all historical places. 100 metres from the hotel are groceries, metrebus. vyborna lokalita. blizko vsetky pamiatky. blizko potraviny, zastavka autobusu.
bit noissy street if window direct to street. breakfast is not continental. trochu viac rusnejsia ulica, ak mate okno do ulice. ranajky nie su kontinentalne.
Clean - spacious room Helpful - friendly staff Location (all major sights in walking distance) Value for money B&B
Old building - decoration Via nazionale is a busy street soo it's a bit noisy
Perfect location, clean room and toilet, small but nice breakfast, VERY nice and helpful stuff. Definitely can recommend these hotel!
A little bit noisy at night but keeping in mind the location it's more or less acceptable
We were the third time in Rome , during New Year's Eve . The other two times we stayed at Domus Livia ( located in the same building on the 5th floor ) , but now I couldn't find rooms available there. So we stayed for 4 nights at Welcome House, located on the 4th floor . We have had the opportunity to meet again old friends - Denis and Marisa - who are very friendly and helped us with information about restaurants, places to visit and transportation in the city. The hotel it's 10 minutes' walk from Termini train station (where is the final destination of the buses who are coming from the airport ) On the right side of the hotel, very close, it's a Despar, also a tourist information center (where you can buy Roma pass, maps) and on the left side it's a Mc'Donalds and many other restaurants. Right in front of the hotel it's a bus station that will connect you with important points of the city. The Repubblica metro station it's 2 minutes walk from the hotel. We stayed in room No. 6, facing the courtyard. It was very quiet, warm. Breakfast is served at the reception, from where every tourist goes to take his coffee, juice, milk, cereals. Near the door, on the exterior, every morning you will find hanging a basket of fresh croissants and bread rolls. Everithing was great. Dear friends (from Welcome House and Domus Livia), thanks again for your hospitality.
