The experience of sleeping on a yacht was great. Also it was quiet which was nice. Hosts worked hard to try to make our stay enjoyable. Middle deck was spacious and true to the pictures. We have been assured of some compensation for the fact that we had to leave the boat for the last night as there was a problem with it leaking oil, we had to stay in a local 3 star hotel instead.... Yet to see this money in the account though.
Location of certosa was difficult and expensive to get around from. Also, breakfast was poor, hot tub advertised but not filled and looked out of use, slight smell in the cabins at times. We had to leave the boat for our last night due to leaking oil which was inconvenient. Also when we asked if we could move to the mainland and stay just the one night, we were told no as payment was already made in full; yet when the boat had a problem we had to leave the boat and stay in a hotel. Seems like the director is not very flexible, we are waiting for a part refund which has yet to appear.
It was the amazing trip..Spectacular view, good service, with friendly staff... If you looking for a place with peaceful and quite, nothing left to say so much, go and feel Anna Dukaj...
We love the Yacht and the manager Cosmi is a great person and very kind,he was always aware o our necesities we was always helping us. About the Location the Location of Yacht its in a unique Location, the first day we took a water taxi who took us to the small island, but once you get to use the colective boat its just am amazing experience. We loved it and we hightly recomened the Yacht to everyone. Thanks to Cosmi and his beautiful girlfriend who made or stay lovely. Un beso!!
No wi-fi...but as usual Cosmi help us.
The yacht manager is very nice, even though we arrived there at 3.00 in the morning, he was still waiting for us and send someone to the get us
As this is a yacht, so the wifi is very poor
sight view very good
some dairy using thing lack
Boat experience Staff
Breakfast (all pre-made stuff)
What's not to like about a luxury yacht moored close to Venice with its own free water taxi to get you back after the water buses stop running. despite misgivings about the yacht being moored on another island it was very easy to get to Venice and back with a ten minute water bus ride. Would recommend this for a different and special experience.
Breakfast was not really very good, with pre packaged toasty biscuit things instead of bread.
The personal attention of the staff with very informal atmosphere. Chef will cook evening meal of your choice or do a local speciality. Peaceful quiet location on an island away from the congestion and aromas of Venice. Some open spaces and short walks available nearby
The mosquitoes; not everything worked all the time eg a/c; only accessible by Waterbus or Water taxi;
Felet like a gostboat and i paid 30€ to cancel it and went back to the hostel.
The bathroom was quite nice. Luggage storage was provided if you arrived prior to check in.
We stayed on this yacht for three nights. We made the booking in February 2013 for our trip in September 2013, and I can only assume that there has been a change in management since then. We were drawn in by highly rated reviews from other travellers who wrote about the lovely hostess; drinks on the upper deck whilst the sun goes down; relaxing in the hot tub; complimentary robes and slippers in your cabin, and delightful suppers cooked by the staff. None of these were apparent during our stay. The place was run by two guys who didn’t seem particularly bothered. When we asked for a drink in the evening, all they had was water. The hot tub was on the top deck, which was where the two guys appeared to be living, so that was off limits. There were no complimentary robes and slippers (as promised in our booking), and when we asked about this, the “manager” said that “the furniture has not been delivered” – whatever that means. And there was absolutely no chance of them cooking a lunch or dinner for us. The breakfast was appalling. We were served dried toast out of a packet, and a selection of cake. There was no cereal, fruit or pastries. Just huge slabs of sickly sweet tarts and cakes. For two of the three days, there was no milk. When we went to check out, the credit card machine didn’t work. I suggested that they contact booking.com and take the payment from them (with my authorisation) as we had given them our details when we made the booking. They did not want to do this, so instead, the manager took the vaporetto with us to the train station so we could draw the money out of an ATM.
Staff made us feel so special. It was almost like we owned the yacht. The chef cooked a romantic 4 course dinner for us both and nothing was too much trouble for the staff . Great job Dino & Junior. I highly recommend this yacht for a very romantic break.
Everything exceeded our expectations
The novelty of staying on a yacht.
Absolutely hated the entire experience. Inititially it was confusing as we couldn't figure out why we had to go through a shipyard to get to the yacht. The island remote in the lagoon with few facilities. Only one restaurant on the island to eat which wasn't even open. Our cabin was tiny - couldn't open a suitcase properly. The bed sheets were dirty and the bed itself was small and uncomfortable. The room was like a sauna - far too hot - so we opened the window - otherwise if felt like suffocation. When we woke up the morning we were covered in about 20 fly bites. We wanted to get away asap that morning so did not stay for breakfast - we had a train to catch at 11pm so had to leave at 8am to get there on time - dragging our suitcase back, wait for the water bus (which is a requested stop and has to be called), and then a further 50 minutes to the station in Venice. Would not recommend this for anyone.
Everything was excellent
The location was a bit far away from the city center
The one staff guy was really cooperative and tried his very best to please us, i feel sorry for him, the yacht is aweful. He let me use his personal cell phone. Though it is a yacht, it was stable and had normal power sockets and supply in the rooms. They supplied the boat with 3g modem providing free wifi
everything. AC on the boat was weak, location was terrible. I had to carry my heavy bags for 200m on rough road to reach the yacht Room is literally 6sq.m, shared with mosquitos. It is difficult to keep a yacht room clean. Breakfast buffet was more like a snack bar. Internet was slow. Smell of the water plants. I spent 1 night and cancelled my booking for the second night and moved out.
Everything was really nice, the location, the people. I would definitely stay there again.
Small twin room, next time I will book the double.
As regular visitors to Venice we loved being away from the crowds in August. The boat was a wonderful experience, made even more special by our great hosts Dino and Junior!
location & food at hotel restaurant nearby. Taxi service at night
poor breakfast and very slow. toilet smell in room
Views and being on the water
The yacht was over booked. They contacted us a few days before arrival to confirm our arrival without a word of a double booking. We are very unsatisfied that the staff told us we would not be billed for the room they double booked yet they charged us because we made the reservation through Booking.com. If you would honour this refund we would be satisfied. This was a special celebratory trip and the family could not all be together for night causing communication issues and disappointment. We also had a frustrating experience with the travel arrangements by the Yacht to get to their island after 9pm.
everthing is perfect and the manger was helpful nice experince unforgatable
Perfect location away from the crowds around San Marco! Whàt a view at breakfast! Great to meet other guests and still enjoy the quiet atmospeher Very helpful crew and relaxed atmosphere. The yacht is located at Isola La Certosa and great to explore.
Breakfast somewhat bland. No bread but absolutely great Italian coffee to be had. Beware of last boats to the island... sometimes you have to calculate your stay. Otherwise the free taxi service from 10 pm until 6am is a must!
The yacht is nice, the staff is just oh so sweet and kind. Loved our stay there. Living like a venitian far from the tourists.
The breakfast lacked of fresh bread and fruit. The robes and slippers were not available. And the yacht needs to be attended to for some details, water fawcetts and so on.
A chance to live the high life fantastic experience at a budget venician hotels cost. Great facilities on board. Defiantly recommend this for a few days just bring your own drinks and don't expect much from Breakfast
No drink or food facilities so its bring your own or use ok restaurant at the hotel nearby. Not walkable only accessible via the vapouretto Certosa the stop is a request stop serviced until 10:30(?) after that a free water aci can be arranged via the ship. The Aeroport water bus goes once an hour from 9:35am but you might not get on if its busy so have aback up plan for your return to the airport. Despite all of these minor issues I would still recommend it at this price
Looked nice That's it!
Met owner for about 5 minutes! Air con broken, No owner just a cleaning lady who did not speak English ! Bedrooms below deck 32 degrees!!!!!!! Slept on neighbors boat!!! No owner in the morning !!! Neighbor came over to take our payment !!!!! Because they had my credit card info and I was going to get billed anyway!!!!!!!! Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want my money back!
Dino was very helpfully and warming
New kind of hotel, it is on water.
It is a bit difficult to get there, and if you want to go back to the hotel after 9 PM you have to go to a certain point (not easy to find) and call a man, he comes there frequently with his boat and takes you to the island, where hotel is. The room has small window opening toward just a little bit above water surface, so mosquitoes may rush in. The tap water tastes like fish! If you get a small room you may sometimes think as you are lying in a coffin! There is no spa. Choices for breakfast are limited. There is no Wifi, you can go to another hotel nearby to use their Wifi.
