You will instantly be made to feel at home at Hotel Zima by the wonderful staff. Just a short walk from the center of Merano, it boasts an outdoor pool. Hotel Zima is fresh and clean as a new pin and there is such a warm welcome from Christina. There is a high standard of comfort and the breakfasts are wonderful with lots of fresh fruit and and good quality produce. It was great to be so near to Troutmansdorff botanic garden, which must be one of the best in the world. A 10 to 15 minute walk into Merano and a lot of barking dogs in the neighbourhood.

One of the best breakfasts ever in such a moderately priced hotel. Staff were very professional, warm and friendly. Went out of their way to assist with plans, schedules, etc. Excellent views of the mountains, quiet neighborhood with a 'being in the country feel.' Backs up to some vineyards.Easy walk to town. Highly recommend this hotel.

A charming and most helpful landlady who spoke excellent English for those who don't have the German or Italian. The hotel is modern, set in a quiet part of this attractive old spa town of the South Tyrol in Italy. The resort is endowed with a luxuriant growth of fine trees and vegetation and has marvellous botanical gardens at Schloss Trautmannsdorf which are an absolute must for anyone with the least interest in gardening - without a doubt one of the finest public gardens in Europe. The Hotel Zima is an excellent centre for this part of Northern Italy undeservedly little known and visited by UK tourists.

The staff was very friendly and even noticed a celebration that took place during our visit. The area were the hotel is, is very quiet. It is a little walk to the city centre but that is a nice one. The hotel is even closer to the Trauttmansdorff Castle / Garden for those planing to visit it.

Although a modern design hotel the staff and manager/owner Christina could not have been more helpful or pleasant. The hotel is spotlessly clean , well situated for the town and touring and the breakfast is magnificent. Highly recommend!!!

The owner makes you feel right at home. The breakfast is amazing! Including a daily fresh made cake. There is a covered heated whirlpool in the garden. Very quite location. Personally I don't like the carpet floor in hotel rooms.

There is a wonderful view from the teras. The plants around the hotel are beautiful. The staff is very kind and friendly. The bathroom is as clean as at home. We recommend this hotel. Merano is a small town situated at the bottom of the mountains.

Siamo state accolte da una proprietaria stupenda e molto disponibile che ci ha dato ottimi suggerimenti sui luoghi e le attività da fare anche con la bambina di quattro anni. Una colazione imperdibile! Per arrivare in centro a Merano, con una bambina, si impiega parecchio tempo a piedi, ma è molto comodo per visitare il grande giardino botanico.

Die Lage mitten eines grünen Stadtviertels mit herrlichen Bäumen. Guten Anschluss mit dem Bus allerdings bis gegen 20:00 Last but not least: Die freundliche und zuvorkommende Art der Hotelbesitzerin. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Schönes ruhiges Hotel, Zentrum mit Bus in ein paar Minuten gut erreichbar. Familienbetrieb, sehr freundlich, sehr gutes Frühstück. Die Chefin bemüht sich um jeden Gast auf das herzlichste.

Das Hotel Zima wird sehr liebevoll und familiär geführt. Es liegt in einer schönen Straße sehr gut zur Innenstadt und auch zu den Sehenswürdigkeitenn rundherum. Sehr ruhig und leise in den geräumigen Zimmern. Frühstücksbuffet ist köstlich mit sebstgebackenem Brot und Obstsalat und allerlei Köstlichkeiten. Auf Nachfrage gibt es Tipps für Ausflüge und Lokale. Auch abends kann man angenehm in diversen Räumen seine Zeit mit Lesen oder Spielen oder auch Fitness verbringen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
