This Negril resort hotel sits on the white sands of Seven Mile Beach. Guests can go parasailing or simply relax in the clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Score from 30 reviews Very good
Love the ocean view rooms. Garden ones are nice, but ocean view are better value for $$$. Lots of pillows.
Wifi wasn't very strong and some days didn't work. But then they changed it to secure wifi so that's a plus. Beds were a little hard.
The beach with a lot of trees that make shadow. The rooms just renovated. The peace since they have just 50 rooms. We were here more that 30 years ago when they have 10 rooms but I have to say that I feel in the same way: complete relax!!!!
The glass doors that opened to the beach and I was able to walk from the room onto the beach where the beach boy placed a lounge chair under a palm tree that had huge swaying leaves that almost touched the soft white sand. A perfect place to lie between dips in the tranquil aqua blue waters of the Caribbean. We bought lobsters on the beach from a passing fisherman and dined alfresco on our lounge chairs. We washed it down with a rum punch i Charela's beachside restaurant which was only steps away.if it sounds like paradise...it was!
I have no idea how I would stay any place else. My four yr old daughter and I checked in and the room we had requested was not available. So we got an oceanfront room that they usually don't allow children in (not sure why) Our doors opened right onto the beach. Reubon the day time security guard made every day so special he let my daughter use the property's kids bucket and shovels and always made sure we weren't bombarded by people selling things all day long. Extremely safe and extremely comfortable!!!
Since this was my first time to Negril not to Jamaica, I don't like how touristy things are. I could never just lay on the beach without someone trying to sell me something. I support locals immensely in JA and I understand everyone needs to eat but I need to rest as well. Sadly many times just trying to relax was not successful. (this is not the hotels fault)

Can't really think of anything.
I travelled alone for my trip, but never felt alone at Charela Inn; the staff was very caring, friendly, and, accommodating. The beach front was superb. The property and grounds were very clean and well kept. I was very impressed.
Out of service room phone.

Right on the beach. Clean and safe. Great food.
The positive reactions
The value for money and the fact that you had to pass the restaurant to reach the beach.
Great location (nicest section of beach).
We liked the location on the beach. Staff was very helpful and kept the hotel looking good. We've already decided to return next January for a longer stay.
WiFi was spotty
Great location with own beach area. Nice medium size so not overcrowded. Good restaurant. Occasional entertainment evenings.
They have the best beach area and it has an understated elegance.
loved this hotel. beautiful grounds, beautiful rooms, large beach area with palm trees, perfect location in the middle of 7 mile beach, lots of security 24/7, A+ bartender/security staff.
the faucet in the bathroom didn'T work properly. it came on full force and was hard to turn off. needs to be fixed. room 308. didn'T like that the wifi is public. not sure how safe it is to use. would be best to change it so you need A password to log on.
