Easy to reach from MBJ airport. Friendly staff ready to help with every need. The room was air-conditioned and the room very comfortable. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent and just the right amount. Perfect for an overnight stop, even after a flight delay! Thank you to all staff at the hotel.
I didn't find anything that I did not like about the resort. I would be happy to stay at the resort again.
The room was good big and comfy, the bathroom was good, clean, and located front of the doctors cave beach, a lot of shops and taxis around. Safe
No night guard, wifi only available in the lobby which is in the open air and not availane in rooms, doctors cave beach should be entered with a fee of 6$, the didn't include free access to the beach for the residents of the hotel :/, the staff was poor and moody, the price was hight for nothing except the location, no wifi no free beach, nothing special soon as we checked out the next morning
The hotel is cheap and it is located right on the hip strip.
Roaches in the rooms, and bathrooms, green lizard found on the wall, bed sheets were stained, and no hot water for a shower. I called the front desk multiple times regarding these issues. All that was said was " I'm sorry about that." They did not fix the issues, nor did they want to give a partial refund.
Location was good. Close to airport and hip strip.
Rooms are not the best, and the continental breakfast was very very basic. They also charged me the same money in u.s even though I was paying in g.b.p.
The staff was very friendly. We arrived several hours early, and they were able to get our room ready so that we could go ahead check in early. Location is very convenient to main shopping area and Doctor's Cave beach. The price they charged was actually a little less than what what was quoted to me.
The facility is a bit "tired." It could definitely use a face lift. Beds were suitable but a bit worn out.
Staff was outstanding best part of visit
No restaurant at the hotel but there ones close enough. The continental breakfast was very weak served coffee, toast, banana bread and juice forgot hot tea also Landscaping was not very nice either
Staff was nice
The staff was excellent and everything except the bathroom and AC
1. The ac unit run all night and day no cycling 2. The bathroom faucet out dated and leaks 3. The toilet out dated 4. The parking was bad no parking offer 6:00pm
I liked that the staff was pleasant.
The gym wasn't equipped with updated equipment.
great location to the beach and lovely back garden to see the steep hill and green trees.
I booked a single room here for two nights after I had a argument with my husband in a luxury villa. I was put in a family suite when i arrived. the tv was too old,the picture and sound are not clear. bed sheet was dirty with hair and marks, the toilet can't be flushed down quickly and completely. the window was easily be opened from outside. very noisy all night, people shouting, laughing, talking outside the garden or street. and next morning there was no water everywhere. most stressful thing is no water to flush the toilet. I have to ask the front desk get a bottle of water to wash face and brush teeth. no water to have a shower. finally a staff got half bucket of water for me to have a bath. I looked the plastic bucket,it was so dirty and i have to use the water to flush the toilet.......I decided I had to move back to my husband's villa.we had a blazing argument which made me ran away from him to this hotel. my husband thinks this is a great hotel which helps him get me back to his life.......
the fans did not work, and the AC did not cool well.
I liked the proximity to the paying beach across the road with a 5 minute walk. I liked the rustic lush landscape set into a the base of a steep hillside. I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet mature lady serving breakfast since I had expected self serve since everything and everyone except fot the managers seem so laid back.
The sheets and towels desperately need upgrading, especially the now off white very thin sheets. We had to insist on changing the room so the size of the bed was in compliance with the booking. They changed it immediately.
Location and staff accross the road from doctors cave beach. Fantasic beach and ocean..no waves..just sand and calm waters .which is an additional 6 us dollars every day..but has a great and almost affordable beachside cafe...everyone on the staff is very friendly and helpful, esp utility player kenny the barman, waiter and limbo instructor. Front desk staff ...rocks!
There is no food....you cannot even get a bag of nuts in the bar or a candy bar if you are starving..the continental breakfast is only toast and coffee or toast and tea. That's it. Occasionally a fruit pedler comes in to sell bananas or water mellon or papaya..once upon a time the place must have been gorgeous with old english gardens and many tropical paintings and wall frescos....but that was a long time AGO...This is the only hotel in the galaxy which adds on a nightly us $ 10 charge for Room Electric!..It is a great place to break up with a girlfriend! Ooooh, That Hurts. WARNING....Food Prices in Montego are Not Cheap...Expect to spend $35 -$50 a day us per person..for what would be $20 in Miami
Staff were pleasant an very helpful. The location for the beach is a plus
The accommodation is dated and the price charged does not reflect value for money. Breakfast was a little meaningful and perhaps should not be offered at all. As a couple of nights whilst you establish yourself but as a long term holiday it would be taxing. I am note sure why they have separated the untitities for the actual price which is a bit of a shock when you realize that the price advertised you have to add a further 20%. If there was more investment this would be a good hotel.
location, the bell who took us to our room
The person at desk gave me a hard time with my booking.com receipt. He wanted to pt a hold on my card for more than the amount booking.com gave me. I told him to check his system, finally he called the the reservation was there. He also asked me if i called to find out if they had a room available. I explained to him that when i book a room on booking.com that means the room was available. He did not give me a good first impression at all. The bell who took us to the room was very lovely.
Staff was very friendly. Landscaping was beautiful.
After the bar closed we weren't able to purchase any type of beverage. Not even a bottle of water. They need a vending machine. Went thirsty all nite
The waiter who served breakfast on the 2nd morning was really pleasant and offered very good customer service. Location of Hotel is very good... The receptionist were very nice and immediately dealt with any problems we had.
1st morning got to breakfast 15 mins before closing and was told that she has already packed up and I could only have a muffin and coffee. I then had to argue that breakfast time was not over yet! I know it is only toast but I still wanted my breakfast. I was then asked to take a seat where tea was then poured into my cup even though I asked for coffee...I was then told that the coffee was cold so she is giving me tea instead! The room was not cleaned properly on the 1st night as hairs and soiled sheets told the story and upon complaining it was cleaned a bit better on the second night The beach is separate to the hotel so we still have to pay to enter the beach even though they have the same logo which I think is misleading. The Jacuzzi needed a good clean as the water was murky and looked like it had been sitting there a while.
For the money its not worth it you can stay on a resort for less money....this place sucked will never stay there again
The staff were nice the hotel manager was very friendly always asking if we were ok.
Not enough facilities the gym was old with old equipment the jacuzzi was peeling inside and old . The barman was moany. It was overpriced for what it was and we should have stayed in an all inc for only a little bit more. The breakfast ws the same for 10 days!
Staff was friendly and Kind
I enjoyed the location of hotel, the room was comfortable, the evening had a few entertainment eg music, free rum punches, easy access to taxis, shops, beach, locals, night life, clubs. also access to nice resturants, bars, fast foods. flea markets, local supermarkets. help from certain staff in getting to excursions with reasonable taxi fares.
the attitude of staff in the hotel, lack of entertainment, not enough clean towels a day, limited breakfast, extra hidden charges for electricity, city taxes, and 20% of hotel stay. poorly design gym with limited equipment, Jacuzzi was not cleaned properly, leaves off trees filled the Jacuzzi, bar staff was not friendly (attittude problem). breakfast was tiedious, same everyday. overall hotel was ok, since it was local to everything, but could do with some updating to walls, rooms and facilities.
Location and friendly staff.
This was by far the most professional staff I ever encountered in any hotel in Jamaica and that includes my stay at Grand Palladium, Hilton, Sunset to Name a few. Everyone was so friendly and personable almost like they were a family and I felt very much apart of that family while I was there. The front desk manager displayed the most exemplary form of professionalism when she introduced herself and answered the questions and concerns I had. Each encounter I had with this staff was very pleasant and that complemented my stay very well.
Doctor's Cave Bathing Club and Doctor's Cave Beach Hotel were separate entities. I thought they were the same company and didn't know that there was a separate fee to enter the beach.
