The room was clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful. The staff upon arrival was pleasant.

The service for breakfast a la carte was poor. We had to wait at least 30 minutes before our order was taken or water poured in our glasses and the restaurant wasn't even busy. After waiting for at least another 30 minutes for our food, the order wasn't fulfilled. The toast was cold and the danish was stale. The juice which was ordered first was still at that point not delivered. Only after getting up and insisting to receive it. When leaving the restaurant we were instantly flocked and asked if the bill was paid. Ignoring the closed tab left on the table . The urgency in which the paid tab was checked on should be the urgency of attending to serving us and in same record time. Very disappointed.

I loved the view everyday and the staff was excellent!! The Massage I had was Great!! Thanks to all the wonderful staff - would stay again.

It was fine for me but if you would have difficultly ambulating up and down stairs or was disabled would not be the place for you to go.

The friendliness and competence of the staff. The "old style" of the facility that is alternative to the cookie-cutter glitz of the big all-inclusive hotels. The quality of the food and the service at the restaurant.

Access to wifi was at times inconsistent.

Location was very convenient and the food and drinks are good. The staff was very friendly and the room was satisfactory.

The fact that there are no phones in the rooms. There is no means to communicate with the front desk in the case of an emergency. I am surprised that this is not a statutory requirement for hotels. As a business traveller, communication is essential and this was difficult to do in the room as the Wi-Fi kept dropping our although the router was right outside my room.

I really liked the balcony and the ocean view. The grounds were very beautiful and well maintained...loved it. A/C in the room was very nice when it got hot. Convenience of supermarkets for picking certain needed items.

The location is in a very busy area of Ocho Rios, very congested at certain times of the day. Interesting type people lurking about, felt uncomfortable at times being a tourist. The noise from the bar bothered me at times when trying to nap, relax, or watch t.v. I could hear the music from the bar. Didn't care much for the restaurant food.

Location is superb - stunning! Rooms fresh and light. Comfortable beds. Lovely pool, and swimming area from the rocks wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

Our shower was 'stuck' in one setting and needed replacing - we told the staff on departure and I am sure it will be fixed for next time.

Long-established, small Jamaican hotel with view over the sea, set in well cared for gardens. Excellent staff and good restaurant. Peaceful, although close to the heart of old Ocho Rios.

We really enjoyed the facilities and there at Hibicus, the terraces to sit and relax at with beautiful panoramic views of the sea! Enjoyed the pool and the beach swimming area too! We had a large room with a balcony with a view of the sea! And each morning we were greeted with smiles by the friendly the staff,,,with a very good breakfast. Good location in the town. We had a very good stay at the Hibiscus Hotel!

The location, breakfast, the room decor, the staff.

No chair in the room. Bedside lamps/ sockets did not work. Light in closet was faulty. No iron or iron board in room. No radio stations were available on tv. The service at breakfast was slow and haphazard.

The seaview from the dining area was amazing.

The head waiter and his staff were a bit to slow and laidback. I served well after a couple who came to the breakfast table after me and my wife.

-The staff were friendly and eager to please. -The food service was excellent. -The ocean view was excellent. -The surroundings/ambiance was good.

-The bed was small, I ordered a king size, which they claimed was a queen but looked and felt more like a double and was really hard. -The white towels had a brownish tinge. -The paint on the wall in the bathroom was peeling. -The room had a "raw" odor. -There was no communication device in the room that you could use to communicate with the front desk in case of an emergency or otherwise.

The views are wonderful, food fair and price was good until they tack on another 20% in fees and taxes.

Limited menu and the riff raff on the sidewalks in front of hotel.

This hotel made me spend a weekend in heaven... leaving that place was very difficult! I cannot even say how incredible the location of this hotel is. It shows you the beauty and the magic of the Caribbean Sea. I got a free upgrade to an ocean view room and it was absolutely magical. I woke up at 5:30 AM every day in order to enjoy the sunrise, which was amazingly beautiful. I have never seen such a wonderful location, right in front of the sea. You have the feeling to be on a boat, but thanks to the great vegetation in that hotel, it's even better than a boat! I also want to insist on how incredibly clean the bedrooms are. I really appreciated that! And last but not least, the staff is very kind. So, yeah, a great great great plan. I would love to come back!!! Thanks to the team of the Hibiscus Lodge Hotel!

The room was very clean and the view to the beach was outstanding! The free breakfast was tasty. The staff was exceptional, so welcoming. Everything I read on the reviews was true. This is a great place to stay and the location was great. Right in the heart of the City.

There was loud music from the street that was a little annoying at night, but thankfully they stopped around midnight.

Everything in the room was fresh, cheerful, and very clean. The large terrace (room 15) had a wonderful sea view. Walk-in closet. Proximity to busy downtown made a walk interesting and fun.

The TV was not working properly. Some people might not like the long flight of steps down to the sea to swim.

The Hotel is a quiet and small one, you feel immediately familiar. This is supported by the friendly staff. It has no beach but you can get down the stairs to the sea. There you can swim for hours, be cause it is kind of a riff.

See the shedule for cruise ships arrivals in Ochos Rios, because then it will be very crowdy (down town), you will see the ships from the hotel.
