I liked the intimacy & privacy. I also liked that it was very clean
The power went out for 3 hours our last night there
Nice People Clean room
Location in the hills
Excellent welcome from Mylie and Roma. Perfect room and surroundings with breakfast provided on the terrace. Wonderful communications from our host who ensured our stay was hassle free from the time we arrived at the airport until we left. We will return again.
Can not think of anything to fault this guest house.. Suggestion; Evening meal could be an optional extra.
The breakfast from the nice cook was good (fish with jamaican fruits). It's really save out there. It's least expensive (but a dark room)...
We asked if we can have breakfast at 9 but they wake us up every morning at 8, because they want everything in their rules. When we tried to relax on the terrace at night (9pm) she pleased us to go into our own room. You need to have a car because its in the middle of nowhere up the mountain. We were not allowed to leave our luggage somewhere in the house until our late-night-flight. The shower is with a really low pressure. In all they treat us like their own kids but not in a good way... They weren't always friendly and helpful and they want to charge you for everything. Sorry but we felt a bit uncomfortible there in our 5 days stay.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. They did try to accommodate our needs including cooking utensils and laundry. We arrived Christmas Eve and were greeted with Sorrel and Christmas cake.
Mylie is a very friendly host, and she made us feel very welcome right away. Her directions to the property we very clear and easy to follow. The place is nice, close to Falmouth (and therefore lots of activities) but removed enough to be very quiet at night. The room was comfortable and the views from the roof were gorgeous. There's an area just across the main road for her neighborhood where you can get right into e water in a little secluded cove.
There were lots of Mosquitos, it had been raining recently though, so they may not always be that bad. However, at breakfast it felt like they were swarming us the entire time. While we were there too there was an issue with the Mai. Water being out and so we were left with just her cistern. This left next to no pressure for showers, and the water was very cold S her solar heater just couldn't do enough.
