Sunset on the Cliffs  

all rooms face the sea, snorkeling on site, great staff and service, beautiful landscaping, good menu options

The facilities, although a little on the old side, are maintained and everything works well as a result. Hot water and beach towels are in good supply. The kitchen is open until 10 p.m. The garden is absolutely beautiful as are the coral cliff at the seaside. The amazing thing about Sunset on the Cliffs is the staff work with minimal supervision yet do an excellent job. The bartenders/servers, the chambermaids, the cooks, the pool maintenance man, the gardener all work hard to provide guests with a professional yet friendly service. The included breakfast (and other meals) are very appealing. Even after 12 days there were many items we had not tried yet.

I loved the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They accommodated special dietary needs. The shuttle from the cliff to the beach was a great plus. The view from my room was outstanding.

The bathrooms need to be updated or deep cleaned. The rooms need to be painted as the walls were a little beat up. Evening meals were not available on site for 4 evenings. No notice was given. Wifi issues, however these were sorted out very quickly.

To me, the Friendliness of the entire staff.

Loved the location right by the sea. Enjoyed cliff jumping into the sea. Paid $20 per night which was well worth it.

No way to make international calls.

€25 per night for 2 persons, breakfast included (which was actually quiet nice), is just ridiculous!!! Okay, the room, which was by the way bigger than most hotel rooms, did not look that great, but the beds & linnen were more than okay! Shower did his job & on the terrace we had a beautiful view over the ocean!!! Amazing bargain for those people who don't need a luxurious room but are happy with the basic needs!

We booked for Sunset at the Cliffs but were moved to Sunset on the Beach without letting us know. In hind sight this was a good idea as this location was better and facing beach and we could go to the other location easily. Location, room and property is perfect and the price was very good.

The staff was so sweet. If they saw us walking around they asked if we needed anything. One staff member ran across the street to buy matches for me when I asked where I could get some! It was private and not crowded, the breakfast was delicious, and we felt relaxed in the serenity and breathtaking views during our getaway from NYC.

staff did not appear to be trained, they were unpleasant, discourteous. we were sent to a room that was not prepared (no towel, bed no made, A/C not working and was expected to wait on maintenance who was not on the coumpond, advatisment indicate internet was free, but a charge was requested. poor lighting on the right wing of the hotel and the general appearance of this area need attention(broons and boxes everywhere).

J'ai aimer le petit déjeuner, la chambre était correcte, la vue mer splendide. La réception change les euros en dollars, la navette gratuite pour se rendre à l'autre hôtel, la mer on peuy y plonger c'est profond, et la piscine vide en mai! J'ai aimer les commerces en dehors de l'hôtel, il y a une épicerie à gauche sortant à 50m, le bar "De Bar" juste à gauche de la villa en face de l'hôtel. Au bar vous pouvez manger pour 2 fois moins cher qu'à l'hôtel et prendre à emporter, si vous voulez sortir demander aussi à l'extérieur de l'hôtel c aussi 2 voir 3 fois moins cher. Au bar en dehors de l'hôtel les gens sont extras et nous ont pas pris pour des vache à lait et font même de la location au mois: 450€ d'après un touriste qui logeait chez eux.

La cuisine qui ferme à 16h, l'hotel qui conseille de ne pas sortir de l'hôtel sans être accompagner par leur taxi "Richard" et il pratique des prix exorbitant, pour aller à la une tirette il faut lui donner 20$ alors que c'est à mi chemin du trajet gratuit pour se rendre à l'autre hôtel. Certains membres du personnel font de la vente forcée et arnaquent aussi les client, le vieux rasta qui s'occupe de la piscine est même venu taper à la porte pour nous vendre une excursions de force il voulait pas la quitter, il est parti au bout d'une heure. Sur la plage repos et détente impossible car les dragueurs les hustlers (escrocs de touriste "blanc" ou "farina") défilent. La serviette de plage qui perdu la veille ne se retrouvera jamais.

The actual cliffs themselves were a neat experience, relaxing.

Sunset on the cliffs advertises that they have free wifi, they don't! It's $12 US a day!! They also advertised that they have snorkeling equipment for rental, they don't! They don't even know of any snorkeling companies to recommend. Lawn chairs were nice and private under umbrellas, however, there were ciggarette butts everywhere!!!They don't have any soap for washing hands, body, or hair!! No live entertainment or anything. Basically just you, the cliffs and a bed.....
