Excellent location, pleasant helpful staff, atmospheric bar , pizzas very good.
Noise from main road, basic room facilities, wi fi only in lounge / bar area
Nice location Super friendly front desk staff Hotel had character (writing on the stairwell walls, pictures in the cafe)
Water from a random source was on the floor in the bathroom (not fun to step on in the middle of the night in your socks). Restaurant was so smoky we could hardly breathe.
Very helpful team in Amman. Wish I could have stayed for longer but had to beat the snow to get to Petra. They couldn't do enough. Opposite the Roman Amphitheater so easy to find landmark wise. Clean and charming. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment but you will see the reviews when you get there.
No late night bar but that isn't Downtown Amman style
we liked the staff, they were helpful in giving us the directions to go around, the manager is very kind too and all were ready to help. the location was perfect just in front of the Roman theatre and close to the citadel and it was easy to find
the wi-fi was poor in the third floor, we didn't complain because we didn't stay in the room along time
Very nice location and very lovely Restaurant
The rooms was not really clean
Good location ,service is well known for, if any issue Raymond will fix it ,by the way he is owner but he will do it by himself For solo traveller best place to stay And tour wise Richard is the man plan your trip very nicely such a way you'll satisfied and value for money Overall amazing hotel for solo traveller
Only issue is wifi in room
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Alaa and Jafar. The location was spot on. Most famous attractions and restaurants were walking distance.
The heating wasn't the best; therefore, the room was extremely cold during the night.
Good location, wonderful hotel with warm staff. Look for Jafar, he is the best!
My stay was too short...
After reading good reviews on this hotel I booked with confidence. It has met my expectations in all areas. For solo travelers it is the ideal hotel where you meet other travelers and can share tours with. Good way to save money Room was ok with every things basic but works well especially the AC it was God sent in this very cold freezing nights. I had great time and heaps of fun. Every night at the restaurant we had a song and dance till my heart content. I traveled a lot in my life and I never found a place like this that has it all under one roof, for a small price. Thank you all at the Pasha Hotel. I highly recommend it !
- Location - Friendly staff - Homely atmosphere
- Wifi connectivity in the room
Just in front of the Ruins of Theatre !
I was in Amman for holidays traveling with my sister and a friend. We stay in a triple room in the Amman Pasha, the room was simple and overlooked a very noisy street which seemed to get quiet at night. We were happy, we have sufficient space inside, the air conditioner works well, every day we have a tasty breakfast buffet. The location is good, next to the center and restaurants at walking distances. But what I like the most was the hospitality, everybody offers to help you and share tips. They treat you as you were family, they care about you. Mr. Manwa has great tours adapted to your necessities (ask for Abu Isac to drive). Mr. Jafar very attentive in the reception desc, he tray to make you feel comfortable don't doubt to ask him anything. In the restaurant Mr. Ahmad and Mr. Shadi they always went beyond their duty to help everybody and have a nice chat.
The wifi connection is terrible inside the room.
1. The location is great and many rooms have a great view toward the roman theatre. 2. The person in charge of the breakfast is friendly and helpful. 3. The owner sitting in the small office is friendly. 4. The elder staff wearing a cap is very nice.
1. They try selling tours to you and tell you things like it is hard to get somewhere and you should use hotel taxi. If you show disinterested, one of the drivers was actually upset and almost shouted at you. 2. They are inconsistent in telling you when to pay. This happens again with the staff that promotes tours. They tell guests to pay upon arrival and saying it is a customs. The person at the front desk agreed and asked you to pay. But actually, everyone else all pays at check-out. 3. No one ever cleaned up the room during my stay there. It is fine with me, but it is very different from most people's expectation of a three-star hotel. This is not nevessarily a bad thing, but just bear in mind if you like to see your room cleaned every day. 4. The restaurant is extremely slow in serving food and they often forget to place your orders to the kitchen. It is unorganized. You see staff around but few things are done. They told us they forgot our order when we checked with them after 30 minutes. And, they said the food will be done soon, while we waited for another thirty minutes. Their 5 minute is actually at least 15-30 minutes. 5. They said on the website that you can pay by credit card, but actually that only applies to master. There is additional fees for visa. It might be because of the credit card company but it would be nice to said it clearly on the website to avoid a wrong expectation.
We stayed at the Amman Pasha in early January 2015. The hotel is owned by Raymond Gordon, and I chose it initially because of Raymond’s many helpful interactions on the Trip Advisor forums. After meeting Raymond in person, I can confirm that he’s an exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and interesting guy, and it was pleasure to chat with him as we waited for our ride to the airport. I wish we could have had more time to talk! The Amman Pasha is a fun, quirky hotel that goes out of its way to accommodate tourists. There are solicited messages from guests along the walls in the stairwell, and lots of notices about local activities, such as sightseeing trips and cooking classes. There are apparently rabbits and a tortoise living on the roof, although I didn’t see them (perhaps they move indoors in the winter?); in any case, the roof is a pleasant place to sit and view the impressive Roman Amphitheater across the street. The adjoining restaurant has a good selection of mezze and some local beer and wine. Our room was clean and spacious, with modest furniture and a spectacular view of the Roman Amphitheater. The surrounding neighborhood is very urban, and we loved walking for blocks through the souks. Prices were much better in these souks than at designated tourist locations, and we found some great deals on scarves and baked goods. Finally, the airport transfer offered by the hotel is really convenient—just make a request the night before, and their driver will meet you in the lobby at the specified time. Overall impression: a highly recommended budget option for exploring Amman.
The location next to the center and restaurants, but quiet. Breakfast rich compared to other hotels. The staff was helpfull and nice. We enjoyed the atmosfere, we're supposed to stay there 2 nights but we returned the day before leaving Jordan. They gave us good advise about places to visit.
Some rooms are too small.
Breakfast in adjoining cafe was good n plentiful..
Hotel seemed too be a meeting place for locals, constant car horn blasting from outside...no fun factor, so not suited for younger persons..inside reception tour boss and 'taxi' drivers were far too pushy and always putting you off hiring outside metered taxi by telling 'stories'..Far from transport hubs. Not many places too eat nearby..although near two attractions( which jerash has also and far superior) its better finding place too stay in modern uptown area for same cost and spending half day in downtown. .
managed to book at short notice.I got a good room facing the Citadel Mountain. The lit Citadel wall looks awesome at night less than 100 meters above the hotel.Make me think of the people who lived there thousands of years ago. I was happy with room, bathroom and air conditioner really works well on a cold night. I was happy to use the Sauna offered to guests for free.God send in cold winter Food was great in the restaurant, super good buffet breakfast. The local wine was real tasty. I meet few travelers, shared day trips and divided the cost. Foreign students in Jordan meet and study in the cafe. The staff was most helpful and knowledgeable.they went beyond their duty to help me.
Great staff, clean, good food
Staff was very polite and helpful; they are ready to solve any problem... Friendly atmosphere with professionalism. Time well spent :)
Beer is a little bit too expensive...
The staffs are super friendly and resourceful. The touring services within the hotel are very honest and helpful. They will recommend or guide you even you are not using / paying for their services. The breakfast are similar daily but I didn't get bored for the 4 nights I stayed as the food are nice and tasty. Many Amman attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. They have rabbits too, how cool is that!
helpful and very nice staff. they danced dabke for us. very central locations, just in front of roman theater. Very Cosmopolitan flare! Love the stairs with all the paintings.
We stayed there two different times. Rooms on 4th floor are much better than on the 5th. Sometimes weak wifi
The staff was great, extremelly friendly and helpfull. We had a great time with them dancing in the restaurant. The food was exellent and the location was oposite the Roman Theatre and the local gift shops. The decoration of this hotel is fantastic and it makes it really cozy..
no amenities in the bathroom.
