Great service and superb location. The facilities were clean. Don't expect a lot, you will be staying at a beduin camp. Hasan and the team provided us with everything we requested.

Not much - the trip into the Wadi was good and the driver friendly and helpful.

The tent could not be closed properly and therefore not secure. It was very dark inside but electricity was only available between 6pm and 9pm, not even in the morning before breakfast. During the night a dog almost incessantly howled from 1:30am to 4:30am helped by the cats caterwauling in between, the mosquitoes biting despite a net, and trains roaring by in the early hours - did not add up to a restful night. The toilet/shower facilities were so basic some cubicles did not have doors! Most of the staff do not stay overnight and did not seem concerned. The place needs a good clean - EVERYWHERE!! Don't peep into empty tents as you will see the state of the unused mattresses and pillows.

The upkeep and general fixtures and fittings were good, as were the communal areas...comfortable and attractive. The location was great and we were able to arrange good value and quality camel and 4x4 trips easily without having to travel further.

The camp is at the high end of our budget...which would have been fine if there had been cheaper alternatives to the 15JD lunch and dinner buffets. If we had eaten lunch and dinner both days, food and drink would have exceeded the cost of our stay. I would return, but I would need to stock up on food and drink to make it more affordable. Alternatively, the camp would do well to offer menu options so as not to trap visitors into unnecessary all-you-can-eat expensive and average quality buffets. Oh, and althouth the bathrooms were clean and western style, no hot water was a bit annoying!

Wadi Rum is amazing place and the Captains Desert Camp is one of the best places to enjoy it. I can highly recommend the Camp.

Location and staff

Excellent location right by the side of the mountains. The food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. Would love to go back there any time.

Great location, very close to living in the wadi rum with the bedouins.

They should do something about cats and flies.

It is durty, next to a highway, dirty tents and bedsheets,bad food. We were thinking of a romantic night in the dessert, but it was a nightmare. Snorking people in the tent next to us, a lot of noice from passing cars. No desert feeling at all I think booking.com must cancel this camp !

Het avondeten bestond uit een buffet en was heerlijk.

Het geeft de indruk achteraf te liggen, maar je zit vlakbij het dorp en hoort het verkeer. De zogenaamde luxe tent bestond uit oude spullen, een niet schone matras en een asbak die niet was schoongemaakt. De toiletten en douches zijn in een gebouw en zijn te vergelijken met die van een slechte camping. Al met al veel te duur en ook al was het buffet heerlijk, 's ochtend bij het ontbijt dat nauwelijks iets voorstelde werden we begeleid door tientallen vliegen.

Excellent séjour.La chaleur de l'accueil,la qualité et l'ambiance du diner,les paysages découverts,font oublier le confort relatif des tentes! Mais on ne peut demander plus quand on a choisi de dormir dans un camp. Bref rien à reprocher et très sympathique souvenir.

Tout etait parfait. Un petit effort par contre serait a faire pour les douches et espace wc.

A bit overpriced considering the Jordan average standards (we paid more than a 5 star hotel).

Uns alles gut gefallen, vor allem aber die Freundlichkeit und herzlichkeit der Mitarbeiter. Ausflüge mit Jeep und Kamel waren toll, das zusammensetzen am Lagerfeuer bleibt unvergesslich ! Besonders in Erinnerung bleibt uns jamal, er ist einfach spitze!

Location is perfect for wandering straight out into the desert. Camp is beautifully lit at night and peaceful compared to nearby camps. Definitely the best camp to stay at in the area!

Staff definitely cater more to the tour groups which stay at the camp; individual travelers can be forgotten. Facilities (rooms and toilets) were clean the first day but untouched the second day. All beverages consumed, including water at dinner are charged extra and at very high rates! Bring mosquito repellent.

The staff were amazing. Always friendly and willing to assist you at any time. The location was beautiful, the camel ride to see the sun rise was memorable. The food was amazing. The evening sitting around the fire, having tea, and dancing was fun. I would go there again if I get another chance.

De hoge prijs veronderstelt een bepaalde mate van exclusiviteit die zeker niet waar gemaakt kan worden. De voorzieningen waren van een beduidend lager niveau dan bij soortgelijke accomodaties in Oost Afrika. Absoluut geen waar voor je geld. Het eten was zeer matig.

The service is superb and the people there were really welcoming. They provided that day with special ciusine as well.

The camp did not have hot water for shower and in the middle of night, the power was cut even. We had to shower in the dark with cold water at 4 degree.
