not accurate online map, no GPS coordinate points (but these are easily fixed)
This is a true gem in Madaba! At first we couldn't find the place as their published map on the website is not accurate. We called the owner and were picked up within 10 minutes from where we waited (at the Madaba visitor center). This guesthouse is just about 250 meters southwest of the Madaba museum, so it's a short walk to the center of Madaba but strategically outside the noisy center. This makes it very easy and quick for us to drive out to our daily excursions near Madaba (Dead Sea, Mt Nebo, Baptism site, Mukawir, etc). Off-street parking is always available.
Our double room is spacious and clean with a big double bed, a large wall mirror and dresser. The en-suite bathroom has plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. The large common dining room has a big fridge where you can store foods, and a laundry machine with a rack for drying washed clothes in another room, both of which so useful for us after long trekking/sight-seeing elsewhere.
The whole guesthouse exudes a very homey feeling, which is also greatly contributed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners (it's a family business). On our first afternoon here, they walked with us to show the way to Madaba's center. They also recommended us a local restaurant around the corner with super tasty foods for an incredibly cheap (local) price! Breakfasts are amazingly sumptuous with two kinds of breads, tasty humus, fried or boiled eggs, different sausages, yogurt, cheese spread, dips, and teas.
Initially we stayed there for 3 nights. We were so happy with this guesthouse and its owners that we came back for 2 more nights after a week of trekking in Wadi Rum, Petra, and Dana. We definitely will go back and stay there again if we visit Madaba area another time. We would recommend this guesthouse without any reservation (and it's rare that we do this from our extensive traveling experience)!
