The place is directly at the entrance to the Petra park. It is attached to the famous Cave Bar, which is a place I like. Staff were pleasant and willing to help. Place is clean.

International standard but a perfect location. Excellent restaurant in a nabatean cave, much more soul than in other international hotels, benefit from pool and staff from Crown palza with more than affordable prices. A very bad smell in our bathroom, the one next to our occupied by children had no problem at all

We liked the proximity to the unesco world heritage site of Petra allowing us to take advantage of every moment of time we had to spend there. We felt uncomfortable about the fact that a hotel was allowed to make use of 3000 year old Nabatean caves for private profit.

The Petra Guest House has the best location in Petra. The hotel was better than expected for the price. The room was very comfortable (a little bit small) and very clean. Mohammed in the bar was wonderful - friendly and helpful and he make a great cappucinno. The internet/wifi connection didn't work well.

Location is excellent, just at the entrance of Petra site entrance. The hotel has been recently renovated in order to get the 4 stars designation and it is much much much better than we expected. Actually is not a guesthouse anymore but a real hotel. Pictures on internet are old and do not reproduce probably the actual status of the hotel that is very very comfortable. Staff is nice and ready to help. Breakfast and food were not included in the room fee and are quite good Internet is charged 4.50 jd per hour I recommend this choice !! I do not like when hotels charge internet nowdays is free everywhere. May be in the future also at Petra Guesthouse it will?

We couldn't stay the hotel booked. They said it's now in renewal and offered the crown plaza hotel of 5 stars. We choosed this hotel because of that unique consept 'cave', so the number of stars are really out of question. If we knew the situation in advance, we would have considered second choice. As for crown plaza hotel, it's not bad, but wonder it's worth of 5 stars.

Staff in restaurant and room clean-up were helpful, friendly and accommodating. Views and poolside area were outstanding. Poolside menu was small but good while restaurant menu and food was good, but not outstanding. No other hotel in Wadi Musa has this location and poolside view -- simple spectacular. Hotel Administration was inflexible and downright cranky at times when (a) internet was broken, (b) free breakfast was charged to our room, (c) rate booked was not the rate explained to us... We had to reprint all booking materials to confirm our internet rates. Be prepared that hotel administration will attempt to sneak in extra fees all throughout your stay. You will need to bring along all online rate confirmations to get that rate. Our internet access was only working every other day or two. No one cared nor fixed it. Overall staff was kind, fun, and helpful while hotel administration did not seem to care about visitor concerns (internet, site conditions, constant accusations re: taking from the room fridge). We were often passed off by administration as overly critical, so that all issues needed to be addressed and solved by lower staff.

It's right next to the Petra entrance! Plus it's a good one night room. The food was expensive and after walking around Petra, you really don't feel like walking the maze (it felt like) to the main hotel for lunch. The same goes for climbing all those stairs to get to your room.

The location The rooms were not very clean, we found bugs in our bathrrom, no lotion or conditioner provided, they charged for Internet, and did not provide us with complimentary water...for over $120 usd per night, I expected better. Other hotels that were much cheaper did not have these problems. We stayed a other night in petr a but ended up switching hotels, and we were glad we did.

The location of this hotel is absolutely awesome! You can't get a better location to see Petra. Jordan, in general, has very high prices for tourists. This hotel was nice, but for the price, it would have been nice to at least have breakfast included. Internet is an extra charge as well and the internet service is very poor.

Excellent location just by the main gate to Petra. The Cave Bar was good and we were able to use the swimming pool at the nearby Crowne Plaza. The rooms in the older part of the hotel are a bit tired and the beds would be better with duvets instead of blankets and sheets.

The location, just 5 steps away the petra site entrance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And with a parking We booked a double bed room . when we arrived at the hotel they informed us that they dint have double rooms available so we had to stay at a twin bed instead. The hotel staff didn't even bother to say they are sorry and they didn't care that our booking confirmation stated the opposite

Our stay in the hotel was shadowed by Petra itself. We did not enjoy our stay because the cost of Petra and the constant harassment received once we stepped outside the hotel. It was relentless, then once back in the hotel to chill out we would had a drink. The hotel charged £7 for a small glass of wine and on top of that we had to pay the service charge of 10% and the vat tax of 16%, simply scandalous! For the money we paid, we can only say it is a blatant rip off. Unfortunately there is nothing we can say that was good, all the hidden charges just drives you up the wall.

The location is unbeatable. Closer to the entrance to the ruins than the actual ticket office! Quiet, unpretentious hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Restaurant offers good food at good prices. I had one of the two rooms in the hotel with a balcony looking out at the entrance to petra. And petra itself is just amazing! No complaints.

No category for sightseeing (above)? The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location. They could do more in terms of information (e.g. number to call for reception, TV channels, check out time, info on the site - Petra etc.) and in providing basic facilities - e.g hairdryer in room, tho an iron was provided - strange choice given the length of stay and purpose of most people. Quite expensive though the location - close to the site - is excellent.

“Excellent Hotel - this very homely and cosy hotel has only been open 4 months and is run by a wonderful English lady - Jane. Jane is extremely helpful and welcoming and always makes sure you have everything you need. The restaurant and roof top terrace have not yet been completed, but will offer a great view over Petra. The breakfasts excellent, and there is always hot tea or coffee at any time. This Hotel also offers a free shuttle down to the entrance to Petra. Our driver/guide in Jordan also stayed here and was very impressed, he will use this hotel in the future for his clients. Home away from Home.” Terence, London |
