Swiming pool, beach, and location
Excellent Breakfast and beach location
No back-up for internet and landline telephone, a small thunderstorm caused total black-out for one and a half day.
We were very pleased to have chosen the Intercontinental for our 2 night stay in Aqaba, it was in the prime spot with the longest beach front, a spectacular swimming pool and the nice touch of a cool box with water handed out along with your beach towels. Staff throughout the hotel were attentive, rooms were clean and the breakfast was a terrific spread with plenty to keep the whole family happy. We booked a club room and benefited from complimentary drinks tasty snacks during happy hour. Looking forward to staying on our next trip to Aqaba
nothing realy odd
staff and the hotel design and atmosphere cold
- comfortable shuttle bus linked to arrival&departure flights in Aqaba - upgrade for better room in case of free rooms - special club catering proposals - well-trained staff - quick wi-fi - clean beach
- mold in bathroom - always have to take in mind local tax system (+17%) to the indicated price - the smell of cleaning products in the room is quite disturbing

Everything and the building
I asked for top floor with sea view which we did not get
Rooms are big enough clean nice balcony with view on the sea and quiet. Staff OK Nice beach and swimming pools Breakfast in the room very nice (extra) Very nice staff near the pools
I booked for 2 adults and 2 kids but this was not the room I got. It was solved by adding a bed. Jacuzzi forbidden for kids while the pools were really cold!!! All kids trying to enter the Jacuzzi, which became a kind of game with the staff. Please put a heated swimming pool for kids as the pool was cold (October)
beach and pools are clean and facilities there are good.
we have been there at high season where we found that hotel is not ready for such event(EID)
+ Very helpful staff + Spacious room + Amazing facilities (private beach, pool, spa, restaurants, etc.) + Arranged diving trips for us
Relaxed resort, nice room with seaview, good location
Room was not ready while we would to check in at 15.30 p.m., breakfast, unfriendly staff, breakfast was good buth a total chaos, there are much better ressorts in Jordan (Mövenpick or Marriott)
every thing was fine. The food was excellent.
The Jacuzzi is not allowed for kids. the water in the pool was freezing and the Jacuzzi water was hot , very frustrating for the kids
Two especially nice five-star touches: the mini-cooler with water bottles you get when you collect beach towels, and the complimentary evening plate of fruit and sweets sent up to the room. Beach and bath towels and bathrobes were all thick and soft and new, too. The pizza (on the beach/pool menu) was surprisingly good – lots of roasted vegetable toppings and chewy, tasty crust. Best value item on the menu and tastier than I've had in some Italian restaurants.
We had to wait a while to check in and out. The staff were chatting with other customers, and I felt that at a five-star price, when you see people waiting you should wrap up the conversations and serve the next customers.
Food. jem Swiming pool
The location and The restaurant
Cleaning room very bad and Pillows smell disturbing sleep and not clean and Rejection of the staff at the swimming pool to give me ice box they told me I can get it only once , if the employee said that for the customer and the customer pay the money and the employee refused to give customers 2 bottle of water will cost you file 400 , this is a big deal , I've lost my perfume in my room and no one Call me and i call with reception "Nada" she told me she will call me back but she didn't call me
Could be cheaper...
The price....I have five kids and would like to take them with me next time....could get a family discount...
Beach. Beach Bar. pool area. Entertainment.
Stunning location, friendly staff and good food.
Finding my car boxed in by two 4x4s and a car parked illegally at the back.
Facilities and location.
I attend 5 star hotels always and these are the things that need more attention: Music too loud and on for too long. Remove Alcohol in cafe, Alcohol in bar fridge, not much variety of seafood for breakfast. Arab Staff not friendly enough esp. towel men. Would like the animation team to be dressed a little more conservatively. Also more help promoting activities on beach and cruises.
I booked shifa king room on booking.com. it was advertised its spacious and has a sofa and accomodates 2 adults and 2 children. The room we were given was standard without a sofa and much smaller. The receptionist told us all rooms are standard??
The hotel is spacious, the pools and beach access, the Martini Bar with its band were amazing, Burj El Hamam. Qusai from the pool bar and Taha from Burj El Hamam were super friendly and hospitable.
some of the staff were rude, we had 2 rooms under one booking and they put each room in a different building. The crowd at the hotel was disastrous. The rooms and bathrooms look old
the check in and check out were slow
Very spacious and clean room Pool + service (towels + 2 free bottles of water per day) Incredible breakfast buffet Clean and quiet beach This is really a resort where you can stay all day (if that is what you are looking for). Snorkelling/diving spots not so far away but need mini bus or taxi.
