Owner is really nice Great location Great price Breakfast was great Owner was really nice (again because he really was just the best)
Had to pay in cash was a bummer, also the bathroom door was a little bit broken in our room.
- Management (Hany) - Location (Downtown, you're within walking distance of great places like: Hashem, Alquds resturand and Habeeba konafa) - Cleanliness
- The elevator is old - It's hard to find a taxi at peak times from the hotel and some taxis refuse to take you to hotel because of traffic jam but in general you can live with it as long as it's an advantage living in downtown.
The lack of some basic furniture and equipments (ex. bedside light).
Very comfortable bed. Nice sized room and large, clean bathroom.
The hospitality and friendly atmosphere. The manager Hany is a kind person alwats ready to help you 24/7.
everything is good here.the host is a very warm heart.if I come next time I will definitely choose this hotel
Helpfulness of hotel manager, large clean room, short walk to interesting restaurants, shops, and archeological ruins
Building appearance suggested less than quality hotel
The owner was really nice and helpful. He was willing to give really good advice for food and sightseeing and transport to other locations in Jordan. Breakfast was served whenever we pleased and it was really big; eggs, unlimited pita, vegetables, cheese, honey, jam,... and fresh made coffee. The location is excellent, very close to the center and the abdali bus station so we could do all the sights by walking. They lock the hotel at night so safety is well provided. The room was very simple and maybe a little small but for the given price, it is fine.
The bathroom is nice but the shower could be a bit better. There is only one toilet and one shower so it can get busy if the hotel is full. Wifi works poorly in the rooms but very well in the common area. Altogether the downsides were not really bad for the price. **I wouldn't recommend it to someone new in the Arab world and not accustomed to less-developed countries.
Wonderful owner! He help me a lot and worth visiting just to meet him! Location is great.
Wifi is weak. And there was someone's underwear and sox under my bed.
very helpful and gave us the tips where we can go for sightseeing and food. very conveniently situated, so we could just walk to all the major sightseeing spots in one day. excellent value for money.
The owner is very helpful and friendly, the place is very clean, it's a good deal in exchange of what you pay.
nice price, breakfast

i definitey enjoyed my stay in jordan river hotel.. the hotel is right in the heart of Amman and just a stone's throw away from major attractions such as Roman amphitheatre and citadel and veiw is lncreadiable.. Hany the manager very helpful in arranging day trips, car rental etc , all with a lot of charm and smiles.. the room is very clean and bed is comfortable..
This hotel was the most pleasant experience in Jordan! The staff is amazing! Always polite, willing to help! The rooms very spacious, clean & comfortable.
There is absolutely nothing bad I could say about this place.
ِAbdolutely everything was more than great!
The owner; very friendly, cool gentleman.
Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Good wifi. Good recommendations.
Room facing the street can be a bit noisy
The manager was so helpful and a nice person along with the staff he manages. The hotel is small but clean and tidy and cozy. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were basic but clean and well maintained along with the toilet.
The staff is extremely kind, Breakfast is huge And cleanliness is spotless; I think you could not do better. Looks like a higher standing hotel... With kind price No need to look for any other place; this is the best value for money ever found in whole Jordan.
The hotel looks run-down from the outside but the rooms are newly refurbished and clean. Hany the manager was the best hotel manager I have met so far, he is very helpful and sincere in helping us plan our trip throughout Jordan. The location is also fantastic, just across the road is the Citadel, and the other attractions in Amman are just within walking distance. If you are looking for a comfortable yet at-a-budget hotel, look no further, Jordan River Hotel is definitely for you!
Nothing really. The shower's hot water was not working 100% but it does not matter much.
Hany(owner) is very polite and a nice person. He promptly responded all our request and our needs of trip to Dead sea and Petra. His family is also very nice. We felt very warm feelings and safe to be there. We are coming back from Petra & Wadi Rum to Amman and will stay at this hotel to spend a last night in Jordan.
Basically nothing. There are some limitation. But we are not in 5 stars hotel.
Very nice service. The staff is curtious and extend their help beyod their duties. The most I was impressed with is the cleaness of the rooms and common area and the morning breakfast. I will return to this hotel next time.
The staff is very nice, helpful and funny. He would try his very best to offer helps. He gave us a hand-drawing map which is fair enough for us to visit the places nearby, and recommended us some good food. The room and bathroom are clean. Breakfast is good. They packed a big bag of food for us as we were in a hurry to leave on the third day. Good location, just 5-8 mins walk to downtown (If stay exactly in downtown area, maybe it will be too noisy at night). This is the best hostel that we stayed in Jordan and Israel!
Hani is an absolute star – believe all the reviews. He hadn't received my reservation and went out of his way to find me a good room even though he was full. The location is perfect. The hotel is cheap so you shouldn't expect luxury, but the bathrooms have just been redecorated and they are really good. Recommended.
Only one thing: the map location for Jordan River on booking.com is WRONG – Hani says he keeps asking to change it – please do so, it's a nightmare to find it otherwise.
