Score from 144 reviews Excellent
Easy walking distance to many sight in Amman. Friendly and helpful staff can help arrange cabs or day trips. Surprisingly quiet considering its location.
Nice and helpful staff The hotel propose a lot of excursions anywhere in Jordan and has a lot of connexion
Helpfulness of reception.
Broken locks on door. Door that only closes when you lock it. Tiny bathrooms. Very small basin in room. Low water pressure. Noisy streets and windows that don't fully close; hard to sleep. Missing bedsheet. Closet with collapsing shelves. Broken toilet covers. Overall a very run-down place. If I hadn't prepaid for 3 nights I would have moved to a different hotel.
The breakfast was really good and I did a trip to the north which was really good. You can join the trips and stay somewhere else though.
The toilet was very broken so that the top was smashed and to flush it you had to put your hand in the cyctern. There were no instructions so often people didn't do it. Not nice. Also no lockers or bins in the dorms. There were lockers outside the rooms but you had to pay extra for them.
Very good location, helpful, very western orientated. good breakfast
at this place doesn't rule the jordanian hospitality, here rules the greed for money - sadly
This hotel is located downtown pretty much next to the roman theatre which is brilliant. As a solo traveller, The main attraction is the 'shared tours' it offers which is great for meeting other people to travel together with.
Location - hostel is at the junction of 2 very busy roads, which meant a lot of traffic noise.
Location, location, location (everything is near - Roman Amphitheater, Citadel, markets). Everything was nice - breakfast, staff. Our room was a private room with twin beds, we had our separate shower and toilet. So, no complaints. Beds were confortable enough. It's more of a hostel, so my expectations were totally in line with the reality :) We booked some day trips with the hotel, and they were really enjoyable, our drive/guide was excellent.
A bit noisy as it's right in the middle of downtown. There can be no hot water late in the evenings as everyone is taking shower and there's none left. But one can take shower in the morning and problem solved!
Location, location, location! You'll be right in the middle of downtown. The staff is friendly and helpfull. They will help you organise day-trips and maybe you'll be lucky and will get the same driver that we had - he was excellent, chatty and knowledgeable. Breakfast is good. Remember it's a hostel :)
A bit noisy - as the hotel is located near 2 big streets, the traffic noise will get to you eventually. Do not forget your ear plugs, or be dead tired in the evening :)
Met alot of new friends Good trips organised by the hostel Clean Transfer from the airport-safety
Day trips/ airport transfer can be expensive
The location was central. Close to the Roman theatre and the downtown shops. Staff were pretty friendly & helpful.
Quite a noisy location. The room was very basic. Had a shower but it was almost over top of the toilet.
I could feel the iron bars as soon as I lay down on the thin mattress. I had to take blankets from other empty beds and fold them and lay them on the bed for some small degree of comfort. It wast horrible night, but the breakfast was generous.
Good location and kind staff
Very noisy because of the location. The price is reasonable but it is guest house quality.
Very friendly staff, knowledgable and facilitates nice and good priced tours all over Jordan Excellent location near the citadel, Roman theater and downtown where you can do nice shopping (and have great falafel at Hashem) Stable Wifi in the lobby Good breakfast
Shower water is a bit of a struggle (as in the whole of Jordan): there is hot water but the cold water pressure is somewhat low which makes the shower or too hot, or with little water. Not a problem though if you take in all the good facilities of the hotel
Haz, the guy on reception is fantastic, stayed up late (0430) to let us in, very welcoming, good advice on where to go. Breakfast is good. Main thing is staff are wonderful! Not luxurious but comfortable and a great base for exploring Amman,
Bathrooms are also showers so floors are one inch deep in water.
nice location close to the Roman theatre. Simple but good breakfast. Room was clean.
bathroom was extremely tiny and had a horrible sewer smell, no hot water in the room. Staff was friendly but also a bit pushing to sell additional things like tours. WiFi only in reception area.
The location is amazing. The breakfast served in a nice lobby is very tasty and the staff is very helpful.
Staff stayed up till 4am when we arrived late, very friendly and welcoming.
Rooms are basic but clean
good place to stay, very convenient for old city sight seeing. Good staff. Good breakfast.
but no elevator, and noisy in the night as it is city center
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Jehad at the reception knows every restaurant and shop etc. in town and is always willing to help. Breakfast is really good! It's included in the price and you'll get olives, hummus, bread, eggs, marmelade, tomato etc. Rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with TV, ventilator and AC. Nice and cosy living room. Very well located in the centre of the city. Most tourist sights are at walking distance. Nice roof terrace. Jordan Tower Hotel has the service and the amenities of a hotel, but the ambiance of a hostel. I guess the absence of a communal kitchen is what make Jordan Tower a hotel, otherwise it would have been a hostel. The hotel organizes shared tours (up to four persons) to the major sights in Jordan (from the north to the eastern dessert, to Petra in the south and much more). Sometimes you have to cancel your plans if there are no other guests who want to do the same tour, but eventually you will get there!
There are plenty of bathrooms, but they are a bit small. Amman is located in a valley. On the floor of the valley there are two main roads with very busy traffic. The hotel is located right at the spot where these two roads meet. Therefore, my room was very noisy. Sometimes it was like the cars were driving right through my room. Nevertheless I even recommend this hotel to light sleepers, but do take your ear plugs with you!!! By the way, most tourist hotels are located on the floor of the valley, so I'm not sure if there's any alternative.
Ideal location, close to major things to visit and lively downtown for restaurants Very helpful staff, they offer a wide range of tours or you can ask for a driver if you want to do something custom (we really had an excellent driver)
- staff - location - value for money - rooftop - internet
Clean, perfect location, nice staff, good breakfast. Value for money. I highly recommend if you are not looking to pay 100 JD per day at Hyatt or other 5 star hotels. Jordan is not a cheap country.
Maybe a bit expensive 30 JD (include taxes) in a room with bathroom given the facility I expected more like 20 - 25 but the taxes are high in Jordan so its ok I guess.
The location, cleanliness and the staff and the services there were all great !!
The shower was too small.
Good location and prices, the hotel manages trip to outside of amman if tht helps, hmmm, its a highly recommended place if you're looking for a good clean place to sleep.
