The beds, staff and location were all top notch!
Tiny breakfast, very little variety.
Helpful staff who advise you on how to get around. Shared tour's can be arranged with other solo travellers. Help with arranging a taxi at 6AM.
Necessary to utilise a taxi for historical site which was expensive for time allotted to cover such site. Really hit a miss depending on which driver you are allocated!
The room had just been repainted so there were a lot of paint fumes. The shower didn't drain well. Traffic noise.
Excellent location close to theatre and citadel.. Good breakfast. Able to leave some luggage while we were travelling.
Didn't always have hot water. Water didn't drain after shower so floor was slippery and always wet. Minor stuff. Would still stay again though!
Staff were amazing! Location excellent!
comfortable atmosphere. Nice rooftop.
Great location! Friendly staff and a memorable breakfast :)
Location perfect for my needs.arranged all my tour and transport quickly and efficiently.will definitely recommend
The bathroom was a bit disastrous as the water from having a shower stayed on the floor instead of draining away. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone with young children, but okay otherwise.
Great service and breakfast as well as being across the road from the amphitheatre.
The booking site said it was a 4 bed dorm, and it was actually 8.
They arranged airport pick up even at 3am, were happy to let me sleep first and do paperwork later, served an AMAZING complimentary breakfast with super polite staff, helped me learn my travel options to Petra and two days later when I returned, sent a car to the bus station to pick me up so I could have a comfy place to wait while waiting to go to the airport.
Traffic noise made sleeping difficult at times.
My wife and I looked forward to the great breakast.
Shower was difficult because it sprayed into the whole bathroom.
The manager was accomodating and helpful.
I can't speak highly enough about JordanTower Hotel!!! Through extensive email discussions with owner Haz Hamad, she helped me put together a terrific, affordable tour of Jordan for my son and me, including a 6 night stay at JordanTower (fyi, the hotel/hostel oozes with local down-to-earth flavor and is located next to the Roman Amphitheater!) Two days before the trip, I fell ill and had to cancel my trip-- a very stressful decision. With the overwhelming kindness of Haz, my son (college student) went on the trip, solo, always knowing that Haz was available by phone/email all along the way for advice and guidance. He loved the tour Haz had constructed, ending his stay at the Jordan Hotel while conducting 6 days of research in Amman. Haz ended up taking him out for coffee and for a drive around Amman, showing him the local perspective. In conclusion, the hotel is a gem, run by gems, in a location surrounded by cultural gems! The kindness of the owner will forever be remembered!
Perfect location and nice atmosphere.
3/F cannot access Wifi
A bit cold, but again it was winter.
Great location and friendly stuff!
- the location: between two important roads (!noise) - some bathrooms are small and obsolescent (no shower head !!!) - additional charge to pay for the lockers (not nice if you are in a dorm)
- the possibility of making excursions with others travelers (thanks Djamil!) - the breakfast
The bed is super comfortable. The AC/heating works well. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast is the best! Definitely worth the money!
The only thing I don't recommend is the washing service. No launderettes around and the service is very expensive. That's it though.
Jehad on the front desk is such an accommodating and welcoming guy. He makes you feel settled immediately and can help you with anything in Jordan you want to do.
WiFi does not seem to extend to the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors, though it worked a bit on the 2nd floor. Bathrooms on the 3rd/4th floors are too cramped for comfort and flood quickly, again the 2nd floor is better. Hot water is a bit erratic.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Really good free breakfast and sociable common area.
The rooms where pretty cold when we were there in December. The wifi worked sometimes, sometimes not. A lot of noise from the traffic at night.
Great location downtown and very helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Bathroom floor drain didn't work well, traffic noise (inevitable from the excellent site), bedrooms a bit run down in decoration.
Outstanding central position, convenient for eating, sights, shops; extremely friendly helpful staff: nothing was too much trouble for them & with good planning for trips to further sights; good facilities in a small area, good Wifi, excellent punctual breakfast, comfortable beds
The trips which are run by the hotel come with lots of hidden additional costs, trip cost was stated as JD23 the real cost was almost JD80. None of these costs were mentioned before hand.
The staff were friendly and helpful most of the time. It was a very good location to be based for visiting the North and West of Jordan.
Not being allowed to bring my own food or drink into the hostel (a very minor gripe)
The location is perfect - literally 100m from the Roman Amphitheatre. The staff were also extremely helpful in organising any sort of tour or accommodation in other cities in Jordan & Israel.
