The restaurant & bars close early..... :-(
the whole experience from the the room to the food and the beauty , the cleanness and landscaping of the hotel is very beautiful .
Hotel service, room and staff were excellent. Typical Movenpick.
The food at the Italian restaurant was not great. Ok, but not as good as you would expect in such a hotel.
Lovely resort to walk around and to enjoy the Dead Sea. Wonderful room with wood-work in antique, green look. The staff was very polite and efficient. We also loved the bar (it had happy hours and board games!). Since the resort is big, it was good to have carts to ferry people!
No complaints! Though it would be nice if the guests are able to access the spa facilities like sauna and jacuzzi without paying additional charges, and are charged only for spa treatments.
The location was right on the edge of the Dead Sea and the sunset over the pool was amazing.
We stayed there for 2 nights over New Year. We chose not to go to the expensive dinner and entertainment. Only 1 other restaurant was open and we ordered a simple chicken dinner from th bar. We were there an hour and No one asked us if we would like a drink or gave us water. We were totally ignored so we walked out and asked for our meal to be delivered to our room. They apologized but the ser vice was disgusting. When we checked out again they accused our friends of not paying for the 2 nights accomodtion. She had to get th receipt from the room before very could leave. Not a good look. Would other recommend this place to stay.
The Dead Sea beach and mud pots are worth it all
The bathroom doors don't completely shut. The resort needs maintenance
The pools are nice and the hotel is beautifully designed as are all the Moevenpick's I've been to. The beach are is nice and has a lovely view of Palestine and the sunset. Check in staff were very helpful, rooms are comfortable.
The food is really very poor quality especially compared with other Moevenpick's where the food has been excellent. By the second day we were really forcing ourselves to go to the buffet as we had paid for it but weren't enjoying it. The staff in the restaurant and at the pool were pretty disinterested and we had to ask for napkins, cups, hot coffee rather than cold coffee etc not really great service for the price. One of the pool attendants winked at me and was staring at my chest and I felt really uncomfortable getting undressed so didn't swim as I had planned. We had a massage which was really nice but were rushed out immediately after and felt a dizzy and disorientated, even though the spa was empty. Overall a beautiful hotel but not really run with the same warmth and quality as the Moevenpick in Aqaba or Petra. We stayed at the Kempinski the last time we went to the dead sea and it was much better value for money.
+ Look of the buildings + Room comfort
- Long way to the beach - Every time you enter the hotel, you have to scan your bags - 'coz they want to assure that you are not carrying any food/ water in the bag - Not even 200 ml water bottle. - Staffs keep pushing you to take you to souvenir shopping to some outside shop (Not the shop inside the resort)
The location and the decoration of the resort were excellent. I like the breakfast and its options in terms of food and locations. I enjoyed the various pools and beachfront.
I was staying at your Dead Sea Movenpick resort and I chose this hotel with my fiancée to to spend 4 nights celebrating my birthday. Unfortunately, the stay from the first night turned our joy into hard time. The rating of the resort on booking.com is currently 7.5 and its much lower than other competitors like the Kempinski and the Marriott. I realized after only one night the reason behind this. We made our reservation online at the front desk and the receptionists promised me a 15-minute break till the room is ready. Well, the 15 minute was actually almost an hour till I got to my bed after a long flight and drive to the location. I asked for a king-size bed and they did not have that as it is the weekend and all rooms are fully booked. They asked me to stay in a twin-bed room for a night which I agreed on as I needed to rest. When arrived to the room, it wasn't ready and the cleaning people were still there making up the beds. I decided to have a walk with my fiancée till they are finished. I wanted to have a quick shower before hitting my bed, the bath robes, towels, and slippers were missing in the room and needed to wait for another 15 minutes till they brought them. The next day in the afternoon, I expected them to give me a call to ask me to move to the new room. Well that did not happen. I had to go all the way to the frontdesk and ask for that again. The receptionist apologized for the delay and asked me for patience as there was no room available as they are having a busy weekend ! I went back to the room again and sat next to the phone waiting. At 5 p.m., and with no call from the reception, I had to make a new trip to the frontdesk to beg them for changing my room. The biggest surprise was that they offered me (2) alternative rooms the with king-size bed. I was shocked that I was setting next to the phone waiting for the call and they already had two ready rooms !!!!
Excellent staff, good location
Location, food, dead sea
Poor customer service
Everything! Breakfast, spa, location, facilities, decoration...
Beautiful grounds and views
Not a very clean room, cold floor without carpet, toilet did not work very well, meager breakfast, rocky entrance to the sea
+ Village like resort + Floating in the Dead Sea + Incredible Spa facilities + Amazing views + Fun Village street food festival
- Not cheap
Breakfast variety is good
The directiona signs and map are confusing It takes forever to recieve the car at the room Walking from the room to anywhere else can be tiring The didnt allow food and drinks to bring from outside the hotel In room dinnig wasnt good
everything was very good
nothing to mention
The location was great and the choice of restaurants was as well. I loved that there was a golf cart to take you to and from the pools and sea.
There were holes in the bathroom floor and when someone came to take our room service tray, they spilled some food outside our door and did not clean it up...not even the next day when they cleaned the room. I also wish that the walk down to the dead sea had been a bit easier to walk. We are in our late sixties and it was not easy to get down and the railing and steps were slippery.
pool staff are great
front desk not good wellcome
Location , pool, style of hotel
Beautiful location and a must way to visit the Dead Sea. Food great and staff exceptionally friendly
Well, it is an expensive piece of R&R
My room B04 had a very old tv and it wasn't working!
Pool , location
Everything is very expensive ,Old buildings, old rooms. It was bad hotel in the end
nice clean rooms dead sea shampoo & bath foam etc provided in the rooms easy access to the Dead Sea, clay provided in a jar on the beach nice pools including infinity type pool with view on the sea towels provided by the pool
food in the restaurant (valley restaurant) was not very tasty and expensive especially compared to other places in Jordan service in the restaurant / bar was chaotic and not very friendly
The staff could not have been friendlier. The Dead Sea was amazing and we loved the pool.
The noise of music at night. This may have been because it was Eid, but we were kept awake every night.
