Cleopetra Hotel is located in the center of Wadi Musa, 270 yards from the main bus station. It offers guest rooms with private bathrooms, and has a restaurant that serves regional cuisine.
Score from 132 reviews Very good
The owner is friendly and the stuff tried to make it not so obvious that staying in the hotel is almost like staying outdoors.
Freezing. No hot water, even no cold water. Wifi is only on reception desk. Electricity also ended in the early morning. But i guess its all about going to Jordan in winter, so its up to you.
No wi-fi in room (only in reception area), not near in archaelogical park (about 30 minutes walk), no heating, no credit card for payment
Not so close to Petra, about 2km. I've been there in winter, it was cold, but the heating plant didn't work, even if there were heaters. There was an electrical radiator in the room, but couldn't warm up the room and the bathroom. Hot water only after 5pm (but noone told it until I asked)
Friendly, helpful staff.
No Wifi signal in the room, hot water situation is poor.
The location with walking downhill some 20 minutes to the Petra entrance gate and the challenge to climb back after an exhausting walk to scenic Petra.
I should have received a room with city view, but did not. I did not insist. I have not seen another guest and got the impression that I bothered the staff.
Quite a good value for money and an easy walk down the hill to get to petra entrance.i had a last minute change of plans and opted for another room which they easily accommodated.
it'd be nice to have wi fi coverage in the room as well :)
The only thing going for it is that it's in wadi musa and it's cheap. The staff are very friendly but we had to wait for the hot water system to heat up.
My friend got a rash so we think there's some mild fungi in the rooms. It's very basic but it's by far one of the cheapest places you will find.
This is a budget accomodation; it is excellent for the price. Expect no special comfort though
greedy owner just want to sell packages and all.no proper service..Completely waste of money. i won't suggest any one stay in this hotel. we are the only person in whole hotel. small toilets,no hot water,no one on reception,no credit cards accepted, far from petra around 1 KM
Friendly staff, good location in wadi musa. About 15 min wake to Petra or couple of minutes by car
No wifi outside the reception
It was a quiet hostel. We had to move rooms due to bedding being unclean, but the staff were very accommodating. The hostel owner speaks a little English. The fans in the rooms kept us cool, and the beds were comfortable. Wifi only in reception. Easy to get woken up by the call for prayer. If you are out all day at Petra and want somewhere which is easily accessible to Petra, is safe and good value for money - stay here!
- Good balance between price and quality - Location 15 minute wall down hill to the petra site. restaurants and bus station in vincity - Offers reasonably priced tours to Wadi Rum - Wifi in common area
- Staff speaks poor English - Little privacy: there was a hole in the wall between our room and the room next to us. While we were in the hotel there was no one staying in the other room, so it wasn't a problem, yet I can imagine it being a turn off if there are guests in both rooms. - Not very clean
You get what you pay for. For us it was only a place to leave the bags & get lost in Petra. The standard is like a hostel anywhere else. Nothing special but does the job.
Can't think of anything. Even if there was something the money we paid for it was worth it.
I do not like that the hot water is not available within 24 hours as the boss told me in which i got to wait till 6 pm before i can have my shower and also the kitchen cook is on vacation in which i find the frustration of it.At the same time, i was not told the truth about the hot water matters from either the staff or the boss concerned i do not know . thank you
No power points in room.
The staff was helpful. When I asked for a different breakfast (since I do not like cheese nor eggs), it was not a problem. The location is very good - it is c. 15 minutes walking distance from the gate to Petra. It is a low cost accommodation so do not expect 5-star hotel. But is a good option for travelers on budget.
Location was at City Centre. I had a good room with a view. Room was clean. Staff were good to me.
Not so clean in the public areas.
Rooms were clean, and reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
It would have been nice if the wifi was in the rooms too, instead of just the reception area.
very friendly staff, good price and near restaurants and markets, we offered free shuttle to petra in the morning only.
cold water, wifi only in reception, not in a walking distance to petra
Peace Way Hotel is situated with a good 15-20 minutes walk downhill to Petra. The hotel boast a dining hall that is situated a level below the reception. The reception is generally friendly with a poor command of English. Though the reception can't speak much English, the service rendered is above average. The reception does his best to make our stay a pleasant experience! The room is clean with admirable beds and toilet. Blankets are provided and the pillows are essentially fair for a good night sleep. There is warm water for showering. WIFI is only available around the reception area. Along the path to Petra, there are generous amount of retail shops that sell essential groceries, toiletries, snacks, overly price souvenirs and many food restaurants. Retail owners are generally friendly, but beware that prices for drinks and snacks can be rather "pricey". Its either you walk out of the shop and hope that they reduce the price or simply go to another shop nearby. When in doubt, shop where there are price tags available in the stores. A 1 litre of mineral water would cost less than 1 Dinar, so make sure you don't pay more than that. Overall, Peace Way Hotel is a good and decent stay for those short stayers. The only downside is to walk uphill after an exhausting day spent in Petra. That can be solved by paying 1 Dinar for a cab service. ;)
no hotwater no soap, towel, shampoo, even in single room
The room was clean. People very friendly.
Internet (wifi) only nearby reception - not in rooms. Water in bathroom war too cold or too hot. Breakfast very poor (eggs, one piece of chees, three pieces of tomato). Ants in restaurant (on the table, in a cup of sugar).
The restaurants nearby, wifi in lobby (not in rooms).
Very bad english of personal. No credit card option.
Pone friendly person
Wifi only in reception Did not help me carry my luggage up 2 flights. Water problems. No hot water which is then "fixed" by running upstairs and I suppose turning the geyser back on 1.2 km from gate up a sheer road. Had to pay for taxis every time. Had to ask for toilet paper. No toiletries in room at all Was quoted 70 jd for taxi over the phone and this then changed to 75 jd on arrival. Looking at the profile. Supposed to have wifi toiletries free shuttle. But not true. Booked on the profile provided and very disappointed
Steady hot water showers and bath, heater in the room, close to restaurants and small supermarkets, good value considering the price
No wifi in rooms, location a bit far from entrance to Petra-we had a rental Car so this was not an issue, but for those traveling by bus, location will be more inconvenient.
