I liked very good buffet breakfast, good location near Petra's entrance, clean and spacious room, very good beds
terrible electric or electronic noise during all the night. Noone of the staff could improve the situation
Quiet; close to Petra Visitor Center, restaurants, and shops. No need for taxi.
No coffee, tea, kettle, nor mini-fridge in room.
Good location, staff very nice.
Location Laid back atmosphere Friendly employees Decent food Bar in hotel Quietness
Somewhat unkept facilities Small bits of dirt in the room Outdated furniture and bedding
"Palace" is just in the name :) But unless you are keen in sleeping in top of the range hotels, this place is what you need for your stay : it has got all the essential services (recption 24/7 -special mention to the excellent George-, buffet dinner, solarium and pools which are welcome after a long day in Petra and/or for your kids), is within walking distance from the site and offers loads for the price. Just excellent.
Everything was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Food was good, not superb, but better than expected. Location right near the entrance to Petra and close to lots of shops, restaurants, and other hotels was prime.
The pools were quite cold, though, so swimming in October was next to impossible.
Location at walking distance to the Petra ruins. Courteous and helpful staff at the reception.
The hotel is badly in need of renovation. The place is almost run down. There were not even plug points to charge ones phone & camera in the room! Had to request the reception staff to charge phone & camera. Room AC was not working. No wi-fi in the room. Lift (rickety) door failed to open once and could not get out. Scary! Breakfast below par.
just a few minutes walk to Petra park
breakfast was very limited and not tasty; pool area unwelcoming and water did not look clean very basic room the soap dispenser was broken, towels had stains and very worn out; bin was filthy inside, we had to ask to have it replaced it was buffet night and there was no other option available at the hotel to get a meal, no IRD ! was OK for 1nt considering we were out most of the day, but would not recommend for longer stay
Clean hotel. Not too far from the Petra gate but further than Edom, Petra Moon Hotel in the same league. Booked us Petra by Night tickets - convenient.
Breakfast was same everyday and not great. Even eggs were pre-cooked. WiFi available only in lobby.
Very close to entrance to Petra Good choice of restaurants close by Didn't feel the need to walk up the hill into town
Hotel dark and gloomy Lacking any atmosphere but it was off season Very poor breakfast
the swimming pool nice breakfast nice price spacious room
wi fi only in the reception area
First and foremost the location... It is ideal as a base for anyone intending to visit Petra, just a stone's throw away, only a few minutes walk away from the Visitor's Centre and Petra Gate. Ideal if one goes to "Petra by Night" you're home before you know it! The rooms are clean albeit slightly dated, but the beds are comfortable. There is a safe in the closet. Some rooms open up directly onto the pool area, so you can step out of the bedroom for a dip! Breakfast is very basic and wifi is available in the lobby. A quiet and reasobly priced option for a stay in Petra.
Would of course have preferred the option of paying extra to have the use of wifi in the room - not a critique, just a suggestion
The location, Petra is so hilly that being near the entrance was great. Also the pool was excellent. For the price it was good.
the breakfast was poor and the only person who smiled on the staff was a chambermaid.
The location is great for visiting Petra: just about five minutes' walk to the entrance. The staff was very willing to please, and there's a pleasant pool for cooling off after an exhausting day in Petra. The cleaning staff does a good job.
The hotel could use some updating and renovation; it's a little ragged around the edges. The breakfast provides plenty of food, but it's not particularly good, e.g. orange drink rather than actual orange juice. And people smoke in the lobby and hallways, which leaves a stale smoke odor behind.
Nice hotel very close to the entrance of Petra: 5 minutes walking. Very good bed in the room. From our window we saw the nice swimming pool on the third floor. Good breakfast from 6:30 in the morning: so you can leave early to Petra. Nice neighbourhood: lost of restaurants.
location is great, very near to Petra entrance. the Male receptionist was very friendly, but not the Female one !!!
Breakfast was poor and not appetizing. the hotel could use a face-lift. I am sure it had its golden days !!
Perfect location, very close to the main entrance of Petra, staff so kind
Breakfast, close (5 min walk) to Petra
No Wi-Fi in the bedrooms
Excellent place near the entry of Petra Swimming pool Generous breakfast buffet
Very close to entrance to Petra. Plenty of places to eat nearby but tend to be at tourist prices. Chose because of location and pool. Adequate accomodation.
Fantastic hotel in a great location for visiting Petra. Excellent facilities with a pool, turkish bath and free wifi. The breakfast which was included was varied, fresh and extremely good, a reasonably priced bufffet style evening meal was also available. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all very good value for money.
the price was really cheap considering the quality of this hotel (33 JD per night including all taxes) the swimming pools are nice after walking all the day in Petra the breakfast is the best I had in Jordan
Big room Swimming pool Good location
Food is too expensive No wifi in the room
The location is excellent, very close to Petra's entrance which means you don't have to negotiate taxi driver prices every time. The rooms are quite spacious but very simple. Good value for money if you only stay for couple of nights and not spend your time in the room.
The rooms are quite simple, so don't expect 4*standard. The bedsheets and covers looked clean but already quite old.
Great location just five minutes stroll to the main entrance to Petra. Nice spacious room with large comfortable bed and direct access to poolside patio. Very good breakfast.
The hotel was let down by the corridors, which were shabby, with worn carpets and poor decoration, in contrast to the bedroom which was nicely decorated and in pretty good condition.
