Stuff was very warm and friendly, a lot of good energy in this hotel. Also Ladie´s are working in this hotel, which is very very nice. Restaurant is excelent and also the brakfast is very nice. The hotel has a cooperation with a taxi driver who is a piece of gold and heart - we were so happy to meet him - he always tries to find a solution for us and all did care a lot for us!!!!

There were some noices in the neighbourhood what disturbed us while sleeping - thats why the director gave us the night for free!!!! thanks for that

Great value, new eco-friendly hotel. The rooftop bar/restaurant overlooked Madaba and happily served food late into the night. Staff are extremely welcoming and hospitable. Parking was found in the empty allotment next to the hotel.

This hotel is definitely good value for money. Manager Laila and personnel is extremely helpfull. Special thanks to Omar. We stayed her for 9 days to explore the north of Jordan. Rooms are very clean and we enjoyed our breakfast at the rooftop terrassee restaurant, which was really fine. For your day trips, do not hesitate and go by taxi: ask for Ashraf: he is honest, speaks good english and is very good company. To eat out, go to "abbey road" restaurant (just round the corner) their chef worked in Italy, food is excellent and reasonably priced.

Breakfast and restaurant are really OK, but don't expect a five star choice. If you want early breakfast, make clear arrangements with the staff.

Cooperation from Laila was great through phone before arrival. Always Laila is the best. Omar welcomed us as usual with great care, friendly attitude, accommodating us in spacious room and managed a taxi for next day to visit Dead Sea. If you want to define a GOOD MORNING, then it is to find Taline in the reception with her charming smile. THAT IS A GOOD MORNING.

At St John Hotel you receive 5 star hospitality for the price of 2 star hotel. The staff are very welcoming and do their best to make your stay extra special. Leilah and Omar were very friendly, helpful and made my stay unforgettable. My booking request for a room with a bath tub was effortlessly fulfilled even though no such room was advertised. Room, bedding and on-suite bathroom were all spotlessly clean and newly furnished. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Wifi in room is excellent. Staff even provided adapters for my laptop and iPad. Brilliant view from the restaurant. Staff in the restaurant welcomed me with a free beverage on arrival. They also invited me to watch the Champions League final (Real Madrid vs Athletico Madrid) with them and the atmosphere in the restaurant was electrifying and memorable. Location is fantastic being walking distance to the best quality and most affordable mosaic shops and even closer to one of the most renowned restaurants in the region for Arab cuisine. Hotel parking is conveniently located next to hotel. I highly recommended this hotel and I will be booking again very soon.

    Wish I stayed longer.

Very helpfull staff, sometimes tell more than you want. Clean, new rooms. In a nice part of Madaba. Good and beautifull restaurant 50m away. Forgot the name, something with grandmother/father? You need a taxi, ask for Ashraf, very friendly and helpfull driver, works for the hotel, speaks good english. And not only helpfull for getting a tip. At breakfast they have a toaster, the bedouin bread you get everywhere!! gets better with it.

Location is very central and despite this there is no problem parking and there is very little street noise. The hotel room was very good and good value. Reception staff were very helpful.

Attitude of restaurant staff and poor cleanliness of the restaurant itself.

Stayed two nights here with our daughter of 18 months. As everywhere in Jordan she got a lot of attention from the staff. But anyway. This hotel is really excellent. It's right in the center and easy to find once you realise it's near the big Saint John Church (the highest point of Madaba), which we discovered only after arriving. They have ample parking space nearby. The welcome is amazingly friendly and helpful and all through our stay the staff was wonderful, from the desk-staff to the (Egyptian) guys at the restaurant to the manager Laila and the owner himself. Room is nice and clean, with a small balcony and the possibility of a child-cot (which is rare in Jordan). Restaurant on top floor is also very nice with great view over Madaba. We truly enjoyed our stay in Saint John Hotel and in Madaba, which we found the nicest place in Jordan. Don't miss the Saint John Church and it's hidden well!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The hotel room and bathroom were both perfectly clean. The hotel on the roof offered a great view of the city and also had friendly staff.

The hotel was a bit tricky to find (as there are no street signs in town and one-way streets), but we had no problems finding it once we stopped for directions at a store. The wifi barely reached our room...we could use it if we sat on the end of the bed. Those are the only nitpicky suggestions I have for improvement. Overall, our experience was stellar. We would definitely recommend to friends!

I liked very much the warm welcoming feeling that the hotel staff gave to us both...not only that it was an extremely convenient location but it's new style of room's that had the softest mattresses I've nearly ever laid onto made it a favourite. Also as the staff gave that feeling of you being part of there circle and that they would be promt into helping you made it an outstanding choice of hotel.

The staff: extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The terrace on the rooftop restaurant had a great view and was very relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable with good quality bedding.

The car park could be improved; it's a little disconcerting at first sight.

It's a new hotel, with a very comfortable room, and good facilities. The decoration is lovely, and the terrace seems to became a perfect place for a coffe or a beer. It right before St John the baptist church, a visit that mustn't be missed.

The hotel construction is so recent that even the police didn't know where it is!, although it is downtown.

The friendly staff and the position of the hotel

The breakfast was not as good as other hotels we stayed in and considering the hotel is relatively new it was disappointing that such things as the shelf above the washbasin and the shower basket were already falling off the walls.

This is one of the finest hotels I came across in Madaba, everything in it is of the highest quality material, the design and layout and the staff all fit into the highest of standards.

I honestly couldn't find any fault with the hotel, it is very new and anytime i did have a problem it was dealt with immediatly and with pleasantries.
