Could slightly improve decor to make it much better. Replace the stairs carpet with painted steps... it looks very grubby... worrying to western eyes.

My second time at sydney hotel, everything was great as before , very helpful staff and always eager to help . the location is perfect,close to the market,cafe and bar . very recommended .

Good personableness staff, but hardly an elegant or fashion able part of the city, backpacker millieu, interesting location (though like all things in Amman, difficult to find until used to the area). Pleased with cleanliness, especially of bathroom, and heat regulating ventilator. Also pleased with feeling of safety. Most of all, good price and no hidden costs.

Displeased that the hotel would not take a credit card as means of payment, and did not tell about this until checkout--extra stress and a trip to a cash machine. That said, this is typical of Jordan. Amman is a difficult city because no street runs straight, each street changes its name every few hundred, and maps often do not show these names. Also so much of the city is poor, that people have to scrape by to make a living...so much less for a travellor to admire.

The breakfast provided wasn't bad.

The bathroom had rust, no hot water, and was tiny. The bed's cover was a literal curtain with holes from cigarettes in it. And the environment was very noisy, especially at 6 am.

The price was excellent and the location as well, right in Amman's Downtown and not far away from King Hussein Mosque, Roman Theatre and other sights of interest. Staff was very kind and helpfull.

Room was ok but the ac unit was old and could not heat properly. It was snowing outside and it was very cold and although the ac unit was working all the time, it didn't feel much warmer inside.

Perfect location in downtown amman. clean room , warm all the time and very helpful staff . they arrange for me transfer to the airport with good price early morning , very recommended .

The location is perfect. Very close to the city center where Hashem located. You can also find other interesting food, drink around.

Facilities is old.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and always happy to help us. The hotel is located just at the border to downtown, but still not in the middle of it. There was hot water in the shower and the aircondition in the room worked. Comparing to what we paid we felt that what the hotel offered us was fine.

Of course this is not a fancy hotel, and since the rates of the rooms are cheap, the staff aren't able to keep the rooms very fancy-looking. But all the things that were important to us were there, and as we said, comparing to what we paid we think that this hotel offered us a good deal!

A cheap option in Amman, that was clean and the staff were really helpful. I bit old and the toilets were a bit smelly, but all in all a good cheap option for amman.

Fantastic location,close to all sightseeing in amman .very friendly and helpful staff ,room was clean and comfotable. tour arranged by the hotel was great and reasonable price . I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to be in the center of amman and away of noise :)

Staffs are very warm, friendly and helpful! The location is near to some city attractions. Room price is reasonable and clean.

Their staff are friendly and accomodating. They can arrange local transport / trip with affordable price and fit to your budget.

Great location very close to everything and great stuff. the room smells good and clean we stayed one more night to see more of amman city . tours arranged by the hotel with reasonable price and friendly driver .

Staff,location,service are excelent everything went smooth . my room very quite and clean . very reasonable price for its location and service i And the airport pick-up late night was good deal i would reccommend this hotel to other travellers .

My second time in amman and had great time at sydney hotel, the room was clean and comfortable with A/C . the location was fantastic very close to down town and rainbow street ( lots of restaurant and cafe ) airport pick-up was agreat idea .... highly recommended

Kind staff, clean room for the reasonable price. Well located to Amman Downtown (wasat al-balad) and Jabal Amman (Rainbow Street). AC in the room.

La atención del personal, fueron muy atentos e incluso nos llevaron a la estación de buses. El desayuno estuvo bien básico pero cumplía

La ubicación del hotel parace que no esta en un lugar nada turístico y las instalaciones del mismo en especial el baño la ducha tenía ciertos problemas técnicos
