Some members of the staff were nice. Dinner was ok.
The room was a fridge, cold and wet, very, very uncomfortable. They charge 5 JD per day for heater, which is ridicoulously expensive. Hot water available only few hours. Avoid this place in winter.
it's very cheap, Wi-Fi is OK. Bed is clean and the inn is decorated beautifully.
the price in Jordan is expensive.
it was the cheapest private room I could find online. Staff was helpful arranging a bus to Aqaba Free shuttle to Petra from Hotel Good tea
Hot water only in the evenings, The heat was broken and my room was freezing, I could see my own breath while laying in bed. Diner not so good
The staff really made you feel at home!! Rustic looking, but that was all we needed. Even the food the had was simple but well suited.
Nothing that I can think of :-)
Staff very helpful and friendly Dinner buffet reasonably priced and ok
Far from Petra, shuttle van only available at 8am and 4pm. No Tv in room, liquor too expensive Toilet and sink running continuously Carpet wornout
+ free shuttle to Petra twice a day and come back twice as well + delicious dinner + package to Wadi Rum + bus service to Amman, Aqaba, etc.
- Unstable wifi connection
Excellent, very helpful staff, good organization of all logistics requests of the guests. Dinner and breakfast very good, fair value for money. Walking distance to Petra. At night, good possibility to chat with fellow travelers in the common room.
In January, rooms upstairs are extremely cold, especially bathrooms; wifi works well in the public areas but not upstairs.
staff very informative and helpful, attended to all my needs like cab, food and directions, rooms were decent, glad to have wifi in my room. the roof top view was amazing at sunset.
hot water was limited, couldnt take a shower in the morning cos it was ice cold. their money exchange rate was terrible, but i heard it's the norm for hostels to have bad rates. use an atm instead.
the staff was very live and up beat, and catered to all of our needs.. We have been backpacking all over the country and this was a very nice place to stay, we only camped out at the valentine inn for 4 days, but we had an awesome time!!
We had a good stay at the valentine inn, very good dinner buffet, the staff was highly organized, the rooms we clean and comfy, pick up van at the bus stop for new arrivals or returning arrivals from Wadi Rum tour. Free transportation to a from Petra, which saved us some money in the end. Mostly everything in town is so expensive, so it feels good to save a (dinar or two)
Simple, but good value for the money rooms.
The staff organized a taxi driver for a day, later we learned, for a high amount of money. In addition, caused unpleasant moments for us that he did not communicate exactly to the driver our needs.
Excellent staff and great host. Great prople and nice. Excellent value for money and location
I had a very fun stay at the Valentine Inn, the people there (the staff) was very nice, and very helpful.. They made sure that my friends and I were well appointed for.. There was never a dull moment at this location!! The management and staff were just awesome!!
Right off hand I would like to say that they have some of the most gorgeous and majestic sunsets at this hostel, that I have ever seen.. As the sun disappears over the Petra mountains will leave you in a state of blissfulness that will stick with you forever. It is a must have experience! Now back to the goodies, after enjoying the sun set, the hostel prepares a most spectacular buffet dinner, that is right on time! After pigging out (hehe), then the festivities of live music, and socializing begins throughout the rest of the night, until the lobby closes about 12-1am or so.. The hostel also has free WI-FI, inside the lobby or underneath the Bedouin tent out front for all of you internet suffers.. I never had any problems at this hostel, everything was right on point.. And all the information a traveler may need is at the reception desk.. Cheers-- to great experiences!!!
The environment of this hostel is a very well kept property.. The location of this facility is a secluded and peaceful friendly atmosphere. Also with a great staff attending to the guest many request, (including our own). And amazing gourmet dinner buffet, and live music, we felt very persuaded by positive influences of this establishment that we made the right choice in picking this hostel during our stay, visiting Petra
No ac provided in the room
After seeing the place on Booking.com and making reservations with the manager of the hotel, Maher. I must say that we had a delightful time! We also made reservations bookings for the tours that the hostel provides, and that made our trip much easier. We didn't have to worry about anything! The hostel met all our needs, and I must say, to be a hostel they do have class. The staff always moved with a since of urgency to please all guest. They made it so much easier for our traveling, with all the information that one can acquire at the front desk reception, even about cities outside of Wadi Mousa. It seemed like throughout the whole city that everyone knew about the Valentine Inn, so I must say, it will be hard to get lost, even if you tried to, lol.. The hostel offered some of the most amazing sun sets in the village, and amazing people, even the other guest that attended this hostel, were amazing, as we all sat around under the Bedouin tent out front socializing and eating a very tasteful dinner.. Thanks to all Valentine Inn staff members for the wonderful experience! We shall return! Chow =^_^=
The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The staff was hospitable, warm, and friendly. Shower was great - good water pressure and temperature ( Jordan does not have much water or rainfall, but one would never know when staying at this hostel; it was 15 minute showers for me day and night)! The dinner buffet was very nice and excellent for the money! Plus the location is one of the best in Wadi Mousa, sitting on top of the hill dwarfing the city below, which has a majestic view, it is much easier to reflect on your day :)
They had hot water, friendly staff, great dinner, breakfast, sensational view of (the city, the sun set, the night and day)! Great job Valentine Inn!
Wow, I must say that I've never seen such dedication and inspiring hard work from a hotel staff, it almost seemed as if they never slept! Cook, cleaning, arranging tours for guest, transportation, scrubing stones underneath the Bedouin tent, cleaning the drainage, washing and drying bed sheets, I mean cleaning this hostel from top to bottom, was just amazing to see! The best thing about it is that everything was done to perfection, and everything was right on time for the guest! They worked around the guest, not blocking the guest paths, so the guest really never saw them do a thing, but bring out either breakfast, or "the massive buffet dinner" of original Jordain entrees! The hostel is pretty much secluded on the hill top in Wadi Mousa- Petra, which provides a gorgeous view of the city, whether day, evening or night! The cool air of the Jordan nights always brought peace and quiet, which compliments the Bedouin tent area very well, where there is free Wi-Fi! Thanks Valentine Inn We will definitely be back :) P.S (we would also like to thank the manager, Maher for going out of his way to help us)!
The Valentine is full of Love!! It's the perfect place for travelers to park it...
We had a fantastic stay at this Hotel. From dealing with the Manager Maher emailing and then calling him to confirm reservations, to set up tours for my friends and self throughout Jordan. We were greeted by warm hearts and great attitudes on arrival.. From check in to check out,we had a sensational time at the Valentine Inn. And the location is just wonderful, sitting on the hill top over looking the city of Wadi Mousa is just fabulous! And the dinner buffet was absolutely scrumptious! There was hot water, clean rooms and great services from staff to accommodate our every need. This hostel is definitely one of the finest in Wadi Mousa.. And I highly request it to all travelers.
Before arrival I contacted the manager Maher, and he arranged for me and my friends, transportation, and tours all over Jordan, the Wadi Rum tour, (which is an awesome experience by the way), and I highly recommend it for all travelers! And he also booked us for the Kings Way Trip, a none stop cycle of wonderful experiences! In which the Dead sea tour was also amazingly refreshing! Thanks Maher!! During our brief stay at the Valentine Inn after always being on the go exploring the antique city of Wadi Mousa and the Ruin city of Petra, we were greeted by warm hearts and caring people, who wished the best for our experiences in Jordan. A clean room, sweet tea, a nice hot shower, and a delicious buffet!
I really love the location of this hostel, sitting at the top of the hill over looking the city of Wadi Mousa, one can not help the feeling of being taken into a total serenity as the sun begins to set behind the Ruin city of Petra. And right after sun set one can expect a 5 star dinner buffet of original Jordain entrees! And Wi-Fi underneath the Bedouin tent is the perfect ambiance, for internet surfing or social gatherings. And after a long day of exploring one of the Wonders of the world (the Ruin city of Petra), the hot shower was great for relaxation! Thanks Valentine Inn I really enjoyed my stay
