The Valentine is full of Love!! It's the perfect place for travelers to park it...
staff is bad old hostel no hot water
The highest hotel to stay from me. Valentin Inn is near Petra or in the centre of Wadi Musa. But they have free private transport to Petra daily ( Go and Return ). The atmosphere is very nice, they have wide lounge inside and outside the Hotel. I love the sunset view from this place and the view of the Wadi Musa city from here. I would recommend any of you to book breakfast and dinner at the hotel . The dinner exactly above my expectation, I got more than what I paid. It's buffet dinner with many choices of food, the food was delicious. The room in the dorm was clean and The staff was helpful just if need anything you will found Mr. Maher to arrange for you . Just stay here, if you doubt what I wrote, try to stay for 1 night first, and I guarantee you will extend your stay.
the owner Maher
Staff was helpful
Not so close to petra Really dirty and not nice No A/C
Free shuttle Not far from city center Nice panoramic view Nice and confortable tent outside
Good buffet... But a bit repetitive, and few meat Wifi at to be efficient but helps well
Be aware that you will not able to buy discount entry ticket to Petra (50JD) even if you have a booked and paid accommodation nearby...So it is just waste of money...
1. The staff is friendly & helpful. 2. There are shuttles that can pick you up from your arrival and drop you off (to the bus station, Petra, or back to the hotel. 3. The dinner was delicious 4. Clean rooms
1. Sometimes cigarette smoke would come in to the room, and make things uncomfortable.
Dinner buffet View from the balcony Friendly staff Comfy room
There was no water in the morning
Valentine Inn is really close to the archeological site of Petra and it has a free service of Shuttle-Bus that brings you directly at the door of the site. Dinner (it's a buffet) and breakfast are good and cheap.
The staff wasn't really helpful and polite. The owner did even refuse to make me a receipt and when I asked him (with hours of notice) to call us a taxi for come back to Aqaba in the evening... he didn't. The room was quite dirty and the bathroom hadn't even a real door.
1. The staff was always helpful and made me feel welcome 2. The rooms were clean & smelled good. 3. There was all around comfort. The beds, staff, other guest, dinner, etc. 4. I loved the location. A lot of the light pollution does not affect your view of the sky. 5. There is a fan in the rooms that helped keep us cool at night and repelled/filtered out the smoke smell. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
1. Cigarette smoke creeping into the room.
Delicious dinner buffet. Good value for money.
Toilet was not clean but otherwise ok.
typical guest house, shuttles organized, nice music, beautiful view, nice staff and comfortable beds
The dinner is ABSOLUTELY worth! They have the shuttle bus that brings you to/from Petra entrance which is really handy since to get to the hostel is a good way up to the hostel, but that is an advantage since you have a great view from the city while eating and relaxing. The hostel is really simple, so don't expect amazing beds and showers. It's only enough to rest the body from a long day in Petra.
You get what you pay for.
My room was supposed to be AC and with a balcony. There were none of these in the room. Upon complaining I was told there seems to be a mistake at the booking.com site and if I am not fine, I can take my money back and leave at 11 in the night! I obviously had to stay given no choice. Next day to compensate, I was offered a beer to relax, which I declined. The room was dirty and the linen seemed it has not been washed for weeks!
Lovely atmosphere, great buffet dinner
Wifi was weak in the bedrooms
This place looks really tired... needs lots of attention in every aspect!!!
They arranged everything for us for the 1-day Wadi Rum trip, and it turned out later, for a really good price! And they operate a 2x a day busses to Petra entrance which is included in the price.
The heater didn't work, but then they gave us an electrical heating machine. And be aware, warm water is only for 2x3 hours a day!
transport from/to bus station and Petra gate, ensure transport to Aqaba/Amman, cheap and excellent food, spectacular atmosphere in bedouine hotel with nice view, wifi free, hot water
smoking in reception and dining room, cold in room
Adel and his staff were amazing!!! Always eager to help and dinner buffet was excellent. Thanks all and hole to return soon. Paul Kim from Italy
It's really backpacker hotel with everything that you need for that - free shuttle bus from bus station, to/from Petra, breakfast, lunchbox, very big dinner-buffet for only 5 JD, tours to the Wadi Rum for normal price, a lot of information and a lot of backpackers themselves from all over the World. Original furniture at the ground floor - Bedouin style. Good open roof terrace with views to the mountains. I don't understand why other people write about lack of hot water - in our room hot water was really hot! Very hot! In the evening (7-9 p.m.) and in the morning (6-7 a.m.). Maybe in the middle of the day there are some problems with hot water, I don't know. But what are you doing at the hotel at this time of the day, in the city where Petra is???
A little bit cold in the rooms in winter (January) but after a full day in the Petra it's doesn't really matter.
This hostel offers the best auxiliary services I've ever met: superb buffet dinner, packed lunch, trips, free pick-up, money change, beer sale.
Unheated rooms, cold water. It's about time for the rooms to be renovated.
i booked 2 nights, as i arrived around 7pm, the staff drove me to the room, it was completely very cold humid room, the towels were on the bed very wet of humidity, i asked why the room is like that cold and humid, the staff said that i need to rent the electrical heater for an extra charge of 5JD on the room price cause the electricity cost a lot, i said why the hotel did not specify that in the booking site, they said that it was decided recently to apply that policy, but i said that i have right for a warm room, they said that i have to rent the heater, or i must arrange with the covers they have additional, but i refused that condition so i slept in that bad condition, the day after in the morning, i asked to check out, the staff said that i have to pay any way the second day, that as for the booking.com policy. I refused to stay in that ridiculous situation, so they made me pay the 13JD + 7JD for the second day. i arranged the second day in the Venus Hotel for 15JD in very good warm room.
Maybe the worst place we have ever stayed: no hot water, rooms were dirty and icy (room temperature: 9°C or 48°F). It would be a better (and, finally, cheaper) idea to sleep in a cave than pay for such a room.
anything else except hot water
