The Egyptian manager (or whatever he is) goes way beyond the line (maybe trying to be funny in the most weird way) being completely obnoxious, he just seemed to be drunk every time we spoke to him. In the end we wanted to book a tour with the hotel but we just couldn't trust him, so we went to another hotel (Saba'a) where the staff was super friendly and helpful, and got us a better price than what he had offered us as "cheap price for guests".
The dinner was reasonable, but also not cheaper than food in town as the manager says when you check in.
The breakfast was really poor.
It is a shame because the place could be really good for budget travellers, but having to deal with that guy on the front desk, I would definitely pay more and stay somewhere else.
It is cheap, not too far from Petra, the view is beautiful, the outside area is really great, there is a certain charm on the way the place is decorated, dinner is reasonable, most of the staff is nice.
