The staff and management at the Valley Stars Inn were amazing. Not only was the service good, but they went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was pleasant and that we were well taken care of. This service even extended after we checked out. When we were 2 hours away from Petra, on the road to Wadi Rum, we realized that we had left our phone, a new blackberry, in our room and as we were leaving the country in a few days, and not returning to Petra, assumed it lost for good. The manager at Valley Stars sent our phone all the way to Wadi Rum on an overnight bus so that it could be waiting for us when we returned from a night in the desert. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for affordable comfort in Petra

Great hotel for a great price. The decor is very homey, the rooms and lobby are very clean. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Best hotel experience I have ever had, and I am a seasoned traveler. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is visiting Petra. The owner gives great advice and the hotel has a free shuttle to the site. My room also had a great view.

I was worried about this place at first, it was a rush decision to book it. After we got there the place didn't look much from the outside. But after we met Ibrahim the manager of the place and the rooms, we were very happy. He even took us on his own car to Petra when we didn't find a shuttle to take us. He also organized our trip to the dead sea. Great place

The manager and his staff were absolutely fantastic! They were warm and friendly, greeted us with a drink on our return each time and transported us to and from Petra and even out to dinner in the evening. The rooms were clean and the ac unit also blew warm air which was greatly appreciated as it was uncharacteristically cold. Breakfast was simple but just right. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

We most enjoyed the help and insight provided by the staff, in particular the manager. He was well-informed, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. The rooms were a bit small and rather "Spartan". I don't need something five star, but would appreciate a bathroom that doesn't have the toilet leaking on the floor, towels that are torn, and a shower area that doesn't even have a place to put the soap off the floor.

Cozy rooms, free internet, economic price and overall, very welcoming and kind staff. We give our regards to the guy of the reception (sorrry I don't remember your name!) and wish you good luck with your new hotel...! ;) The lunch package wasn't really good. (Little advice)

Met our expectations for the price paid - pretty basic but everything in good working order and clean. Breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful I think we got what we paid for and it was nice to meet some real Jordanian people and listen to their insights.

It was nice and comfortable, but not worth $110 usd per night. We had no idea Jordan was this expensive.

all the staff were extremely helpful and hospitable - the manager in particular was very informative regarding Petra and Jordanian history in general - i was traveling alone and had certain specific destinations in mind around Jordan - the manager did a great job of making arrangements for that - all the details were covered food in general at the hotel is limited

customer service and staff's commitment to make clients happy. value for money and quite far from the entrance of petra (hotel provides shuttle to offset this disadvantage). Hotel is a bit outdated with furnishings falling apart (ex., shower fixtures and bathroom blowers working on and off).

Good price for Wadi Mousa. The reception area was very nice and modern and our welcome drink was very gratefully received. They booked our transport to Wadi Rum for us, and flagged us down taxis while we waited in the lobby. Room wasn't the nicest we've ever stayed in, but was fine for 1 night. The furniture was very tired looking, especially compared to the reception/lobby. There was no hot water until the morning, which was very annoying. Since we, and other hotel guests, were leaving early to Wadi Rum, we were told that we could have an early breakfast. When we went down, the staff member that was meant to serve us breakfast was asleep on the floor. We wouldn't of minded, but it meant we never got our breakfast that was included in the room rate.

“Excellent Hotel - this very homely and cosy hotel has only been open 4 months and is run by a wonderful English lady - Jane. Jane is extremely helpful and welcoming and always makes sure you have everything you need. The restaurant and roof top terrace have not yet been completed, but will offer a great view over Petra. The breakfasts excellent, and there is always hot tea or coffee at any time. This Hotel also offers a free shuttle down to the entrance to Petra. Our driver/guide in Jordan also stayed here and was very impressed, he will use this hotel in the future for his clients. Home away from Home.” Terence, London |
