Valley Stars Inn  

The staff and management at the Valley Stars Inn were amazing. Not only was the service good, but they went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was pleasant and that we were well taken care of. This service even extended after we checked out. When we were 2 hours away from Petra, on the road to Wadi Rum, we realized that we had left our phone, a new blackberry, in our room and as we were leaving the country in a few days, and not returning to Petra, assumed it lost for good. The manager at Valley Stars sent our phone all the way to Wadi Rum on an overnight bus so that it could be waiting for us when we returned from a night in the desert. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for affordable comfort in Petra

The location to Petra was good but the best part of Valley Stars Inn was Ibrahim. He was a fantastic help. Very friendly. I would highly suggest this hotel based only on Ibrahim,s personality.

Good all round. Great help and local advice from Ibrahim, the manager, plus I had interesting discussions on Jordan and global politics. Also one of his brothers has developed new interpretation of the purpose of Petra's 'tombs' - I struck lucky with choosing this hotel and knowing more about this first hand before visiting. They also offer a great service of sticking water bottles in the freezer overnight - keeps it cold for a day nearly.

Friendly helpful staff.

Cot provided for 1.5 year old was for a newborn, nice they tried but bit of a fail! Breakfast was limited compared to other places we have stayed at in Jordan, including much cheaper places.

Manager was helpful and entertaining, offering good suggestions for dining and for how we should plan our trip to Petra. Although many hotels and B&Bs are closer to downtown and to Petra, the town is so small and the hotel's shuttle is so accommodating that this was not a problem.

We were there in February; a particularly chilly time of year. Since they don't have many cold days, the hotel wasn't well equipped to provide adequate heat. Same for hot water for the shower - antiquated heating system required long wait time before hot water was ready. Overall, not a huge problem and unlikely to be a problem at all most times of the year.

Excellent Staff, Very helpful and kind. Hotel Is near to Petra, maybe not 1 km but close enough to take a Taxi and reach in 7 or 8 minutes.

Good price for Wadi Mousa. The reception area was very nice and modern and our welcome drink was very gratefully received. They booked our transport to Wadi Rum for us, and flagged us down taxis while we waited in the lobby.

Room wasn't the nicest we've ever stayed in, but was fine for 1 night. The furniture was very tired looking, especially compared to the reception/lobby. There was no hot water until the morning, which was very annoying. Since we, and other hotel guests, were leaving early to Wadi Rum, we were told that we could have an early breakfast. When we went down, the staff member that was meant to serve us breakfast was asleep on the floor. We wouldn't of minded, but it meant we never got our breakfast that was included in the room rate.

I was worried about this place at first, it was a rush decision to book it. After we got there the place didn't look much from the outside. But after we met Ibrahim the manager of the place and the rooms, we were very happy. He even took us on his own car to Petra when we didn't find a shuttle to take us. He also organized our trip to the dead sea. Great place

Large bedrooms with proper hanging and shelving space, nice swimming pool and simple but decent in-house kitchen

Very clean hotel and good service. The hotel was a bit basic but excellent value for money.

Nous avons apprécié la situation de cet hôtel sur les hauteurs de Wadi Musa avec le soleil se levant sur le site de Petra, la possibilité d'accéder à internet sur place.

Tarif de l'hôtel ne correspondant pas au confort attendu: pas de meuble de rangement pour un séjour un peu long, difficulté de régler la température de l'eau dans la douche.

desayuno flojo, ruido de la carretera; molestias al pagar la factura y tener que sumar el 18% de servicio y impuestos ya que el joven inexperto no se aclaraba y yo tenia la cabeza poco clara tan temprano
