Seperate payment for swimming pool use was a surprise as in other hotels the use of the swimming pool by guests is free

General facilities very good and comfortable. Friendly staff, Located opposite to railway station, giving easy access to airport and Osaka (Namba)

You pay too much for early arrival. Also a simple glass of beer costs 8 EUR. Breakfast usually OK, but sometimes very crowded, no trays available, no bacon served for 2 days

The hotel is just beside Sakai train station.

The earliest time to check in the hotel is 3pm, which is quite late, compared to other hotels.

    Spacious room. Near train station

Hotel guests not accessible to Most facilities eg swimming poor, spa, etc Need to pay extra to use those facilities. Hotel away from the loop, inconvenient to JR Pass Holders who need to board another train to connect to the loop.

very clean hotel. The hotel is attached to Nankai subway station. There are 3 supermarkets within walking distance, 1 of which is just beside the hotel. There are many eateries within walking distance too.

The hotel is located at Sakai which is rather far from Osaka & you would have to change subway at Namba to reach the hotel. If you do not mind the distance, the hotel is excellent.

Right near the Sakai station (note: NOT Sakai-shi); about a 15 min. (local) train ride from busy Osaka, it was fairly quiet. And right on the ocean! Lovely view. Was given the option to upgrade my room to 'executive' for a reasonable amount. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, so was the tea-time. And there's a pool! Opens at 7am! With a steam room. I'm still not clear if the pool is available if you have an ordinary room.... Overall a pleasant stay.

Shower head was old and temperature control impossible. This is really a problem. Pool only open until 9pm. Executive Lounge was cute but I found the chairs extremely uncomfortable.

the rooms are very big for japanese standards and the view over the city is amazing. in addition, there is a shopping center very close and some delicious restaurants are not far off either

its a little inconvenient to reach from osaka main station. you have to chance trains twice and at last, you have to take a private train which is not covered by jr rail pass.

Close distance to the private own railway. Walking distance to shopping mall and grocery store.

The place is not accessible via JR.

The location is very convenient fron KIX airport in just 20mins train. Large room compared to Japan standard. View of Sakai city. Only 5-10 mins to access central osaka (namba & shin-imamiya / osaka JR loop). Value for money!

Kind of old hotel, however still very clean and well maintained. For JR Pass holder, need to pay extra 160 yen to access sakai station from Jr Loop line (shin-imamiya).

The hotel has a good view at Night. Room is big but not so convenience if need to travel to central city a lot. It is almost a land mark of Sakai city.

Location is easy to find and travel around. But need to pay extra money if u don't have Kansai pass and stil want to go other places for sightseeing.

The staff were very helpful especially with translation and getting.

Here are my following complaints: -maintenance and upkeep with overall appearance of hotel is very poor - almost as if it is about to be be shut down. -many areas of the hotel lacked staff where staff should be -certain facilities that were advertised were not open during the listed time - for example: karaoke -as a paying guest I would expect to use the pool and gym facilities but did not expect to pay almost the price of an extra nights stay. This is usually complimentary to hotel guest so I did not feel very welcomed. -This was a major disappointment as I chose this hotel because of its facilities and entertainment that was listed -my mini fridge on our room had a foul odor when we opened it -carpets all over the hotel were very dirty as you can see in the photos -walls throughout the hotel had cracks - the main lobby area was very dark and several floors of the hotel had all of its lights off

I like the staff at the information corner because they are very accommodating and helpful with our query regarding what and how to use their metro train/subway. They can also speak English so we did not encounter difficulty in communicating with them. The Sakai Train Station is just very near to the hotel and going to and from the airport is very convenient and easy. Only one direct ride of the airport express train to go to the hotel.

The location of the hotel is really far from Osaka's tourist area. It will eat time travelling from one place to another. All you need to do is to ride in their train and walk.
