The hotel setting and support of staff. Dining was a pleasant experience.

The view of the Alps is amazing, but can be seen from the onsen, so no need to stay here at the hotel, just visit for the onsen

This was our second night staying at the hotel, but we moved to a triple bed room as one of our party of 4 left to return home (had stayed in 2 twin rooms the night before). There was an irritating whirring sound coming from the fan/heater, and due to that fact that it was cold, we couldn't turn it off as a way to stop the whirring. We went to reception to see about changing rooms, and while the staff were extremely helpful, there wasn't much they could do given there was only 1 non smoking floor out of 10, and all triple rooms on this floor were already taken. We had to settle for moving to a twin room with a fold out bed, and when we asked if we would be getting a discount on the rate, we were told that as we had made the booking through booking.com, they could not compensate us for the fact that the room was faulty. The wifi was also really bad in this room (1303), and unfortunately didn't get much better when we changed rooms (1312). Breakfast was decent, and we skipped dinner at the hotel based on all the other bad reviews we'd read. While the Takayama Matsuri was great, I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

The room and bathroom were a very large size, which is uncommon for Japan. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything else about this hotel I liked, given the treatment we received from the reservation staff before we even arrived.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with this hotel right from the start. As anyone looking to go to Takayama may be aware, during April and October they have a festival which is rated one of the top 3 in Japan. This means that hotels can sell out 6 months in advance (as the town is quite small). For our recent stay, I made the bookings at the start of July 2012, while triple checking their cancellation policy (for 'just in case'), and confirmed that we were able to make changes to/cancel our accommodation up to 1 day before we were due to arrive without incurring any penalties. I contacted the hotel (via booking.com, who were extremely helpful) in the middle of February, a full 2 months before we were due at the hotel, to request that one night of our two night stay be cancelled, as unfortunately our plans had changed. I was told by Tazoe in reservations that the change could not be done, but there was no explanation as to why. If I had been able to, I would have cancelled the reservation completely, but there was no other accommodation available in town, so we were stuck, and had no choice but to pay for a nights accommodation when we didn't even stay at the hotel. This alone means that I would not recommend this hotel to stay at. Their shuttle service was also rather annoying, check out time is midday, yet they're not prepared for lots of people with luggage to be on the shuttle at that time. During the day shuttles leave the station for the hotel every hour on the 30min mark, but for some reason this changes during the 7pm hour, but then reverts back during the 8pm hour, which caught us out and meant we had to pay for a taxi back to the hotel. While it was our fault that we didn't have a schedule with us, it also didn't make any sense that they would make this change to the timetable for just one occurance during the day.

The spa was great. You may enjoy beautiful senary in hot spring.

Luxury hotel at a very reasonable price. Fully equipped facilities. On a hill overlooking the city. Shuttle service to the train station was very helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet. Restaurants very good, but expensive.

Cafe in lobby could serve more diverse items; basically a tea room. Staff eager to help, but their English skills were very limited.

Onsen facilities, complimentary breakfast, onsite car parking, free shuttle bus to Takayama Station.

There are many indoor-outdoor spa pools at Hotel Associa Takayama resort. You will see the excellent mountain view between spa relaxation. Room size is suitable and impressive scenery. Buffet breakfast is ok.

A bit too formal for me; relaxing dress code would be good (wearing yukatas for breakfast etc.).

The staff were helpful and very polite. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety of western and Japanese foods. The availiablity of the shuttle to the train station/town and return was excellent as we did not have a car.

The cool efficiency. The attractive setting on the hillside. The breakfast was not elaborate but well presented and wholesome with a western and Eastern mix.

Our room seemed a little musty and on the small side. The very slight smell became unnoticeable after a minute or so. And, after 3 days wasn't noticed atall. We suspect that the room hadn't been used for a while and needed to be aired.

Very luxurious comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Very good shuttle bus service to Takayama.

The breakfast was adequate but could have had a better range of bread and some cheese.

O quarto era grande, e limpo, com uma uma bela vista dos alpes. A localização do hotel é boa, só um pouco distante do centro. Mas esse problema podia ser resolvido com o shuttle.

O quarto ficava muito longe do onsen interno.

Excelente enquadramento com a natureza. Colaboradores experientes e atenciosos.

Geniales Außenbad mit super Aussicht, große Zimmer, gute Ausgestattet, gute Restaurants im Haus, kostenloser Shuttelbus zum Hotel und in die Stadt. Eigentlich war alles super. Immer wieder gern.

Liegt ziemlich außerhalb und ist zu Fuß nur sehr schlecht zu erreichen.

駅前のカフェに荷物を預けておくと、そのままホテルに持っていってもらえること。 ロビー、室内、レストランとホテル全体がリゾート感覚にあふれていて、とても居心地がよかったこと。 朝食も、終わり近くに行ったにもかかわらず、種類が豊富だったこと。 お風呂が５F、７Fともに雰囲気がよく、景色もよく見え、清潔で、十分リラックスできること。

悪いというほどのことではないですが、部屋までご案内はないのかな、とちょっと思いました。

酒店設備極佳,有多款溫泉供客人選擇

我們check in時接待的女職員態度極不友善,這是我20多年來到日本旅行以來首次遇見,以一間大酒店而言,也是令人費解.

部屋が広い。 スタッフが親切。

部屋のユニットバスの温度調節が難しかった。 熱湯が簡単に出てしまうため、油断すると火傷してしまいそう。

設備は、よかった。 高山市内までのバスが有り良かった

ホテル側とBooking.comとの連携が悪い。 今回　家族５人で宿泊する為トリプル２部屋の予約となった。 実際にチェックインに行くと全く別々の部屋で棟も違うようになっていた。交渉した結果１２階と１３階の階違- いでしか部屋が空いておらず仕方なく了解した。 Booking.comで登録時点でその考慮は、してほしかった。
