this hotel is quite conveniently located with the metro station just within 7 minutes walk. The shinjuku station is the gateway to almost all the cities of Japan. No worries if you comes from narita or haneda airport as they are very accessible either by train or the airport bus. If you have heavy luggage, you can just take a cab to the hotel costing 710 yen (US8.50) or otherwise you can walk to the hotel if you know the shortest direction. The standard room is rather small (really small) however the bathroom is very comfortable and clean. More importantly, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Price is reasonable considering the extreme high living cost of Tokyo. Breakfast is good. The staffs are very friendly and they can speak english! I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I ever come back to Tokyo. Everything is fine except that the rooms are very small. Limited sport channels (ESPN or star sports perhaps). At least there is a CNN channel though!

The hotel is very close to the Shinjuku Station, which helps a lot when using the subway. There is also a variety o restaurants with good price nearby. The staff is attentive and friendly and the room is clean. There could be a little more variety of options breakfast. I thought the bed is small (considering we booked a double room) and the pillows are as hard as rocks. Cable tv service is poor as there was not even a single western movie channel. I would not recommend this hotel for families traveling w/ children as it it located in a prostitution area.

The location was very good, right in the middle of bustling Shinjuku, and very near to the station. Although the room itself was very small (not unusual for Japan) the bathroom was outstanding, stylish and apparently brand new. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, with a wide range of both Japanese and western food. We had some difficulty finding the hotel on first arriving. The map on the booking confirmation was not terribly clear. Luckily, everyone in Japan is so friendly and helpful that, by asking quite a number of people, we eventually found it. This was our last stop in Japan, hence we were not thrown by this, however, if we had just arrived after a long flight, it might have been more of a problem.

Location is convenient, close to many restaurants and shopping malls. The hotel looks new and the rooms, although small, are cozy and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was ok, but i expected more western-like food, after all the hotel is called Best Western! The hotel is located in the red-light district, but it didnt seem to be unsafe though.

It was close to the Shinjuku station in fact less then 10 mins walk. It is clearly signed posted on the street entrance. The room was small but ok for 1 person. The bathroom was a good size. Breakfast had a good mix of western and eastern dishes. There are lots of resturants and small bars and cafes near by. The WiFi was free but only avaialble in the lobby. The cable internet was free and a good speed.

The hotel has a wonderful location near Shinjuku station ( 10 minutes from Narita xpress, metro and Jr line) in the middle of a lot of restaurant and shopping open till late evening. The single room is not so big compared with hotel in Japan

The staff were well educated and professional relatively close to shinjuku station The location was 'okay' relative to shinjuku jr. Still a solid 10min walk. The location after night fall became a red light district. Many hawker men were located right out the front entrance. This was quite unsafe and unwelcoming. I am very surprised Best Western have done nothing to deter these people from right in front. The breakfast and lunch options were horrible and bland. Not a 'holiday' style holiday, and well not really a 'business' style hotel either. Will look elsewhere next time

Travelled with family of four, 2 youth & 2 adults. Room and bathroom are quite spacious for Tokyo area. Good shower pressure. Can tag sleeping bag to sleep on the floor. Convenience with many plug points in the room. Walking distance to a church. Walking distance to train station. Not all days refill water bottles, tea bags, coffee bags. Ask only refill. Quite old mattress. Bored with same breakfast menu for 8 days. Beans pillow not comfortable.

The location was great. Close to Shinjuku station (very convenient) and in a vibey part of the city. Rooms were clean. The Nigerians after 8pm trying to get you to go to their strip clubs were a pain (although ignoring them worked best). The Wi-Fi only worked in the reception area and was very slow.

The room was clean, but very soundproof as I heard quite often my neighboors. The room was clean and provided with toiletries but no mini- bar - except and empty fridge. Windows cannot be open so if you want to take a fresh breath of fresh air in the morning you have to go downstairs. Did not try the breakfast but the restaurant seems nice. The hotel is right on Kabuki-cho which is the red light disctrict so it may not be suitable for everyone but it is not dangerous. The hotel is clean and modern not fantastic but enough to feel comfortable. The hotel is 5-7 mins walk from the Shinjuku station so if your luggage is not too heavy you can walk. The hotel is close to an area full of shops and small restaurants so it's enjoyable to walk around especially on Sunday as some streets are closed to cars and terraces are easy to find. Would have like to have a mini-bar even though at the entrance of the hotel there is a convenience store 24/7.

Internet connection is ok, but it is wired only (I.E. you cannot use wi- fi based items). As the check-in time is 2 P.M. I had to wait on the sofa 2 hours waiting (it is not the best after a 20 hour journey). Breakfast is just essential and is not worth 10€!

Location in the middle of the city. Good communication with both train, metro,..... Meals in general are not in line with other Best Western Hotels. Not enough choice of Western breakfast options.

The location in Shinjuku is excellent you can walk to the Shinjuku station or get a 5 min cab ride. Tokyo is an incredible city but the areas are quite spread out so you need access to the JR or subway so that you can get around quickly. like most Tokyo hotels at this price the rooms are pretty small

Excellent hotel, really comfortable! Double bed room was quite big compared to others in japan. The bathroom was amazing, the type you'd be happy to have in your hotel after a long day. The location in Shinjuku is right in the heart of things. Lots of restaurants nearby, and subway and jr train stations not far away. I'll stay in this hotel again next time I'm in Tokyo.

Good location, clean rooms and decent price. About 10 minutes away from Shinjuku's East exit. Easy to get to. We did not encounter any touts along the way to the hotel even at night as we kept to the main pathways along the main streets. Even on smaller path leading to the hotel, touts were not aggressive and were all polite. If you want to skip these touts, just walk along the park and you'll end up at the hotel too. I previously stayed at the Shinjuku washington (at a higher cost), and the Best Western beats it hands down in terms of location and overall comfort. Rooms are small but that is typical in Tokyo. Not cramp though and the toilet isn't one of those plastic pre-fabbed units. It is a proper toilet with a bathtub and shower area. Would i stay here if i visit Tokyo again? Probably. Food around the area is decent but not that great. But Shinjuku has no lack of places to eat. Walking to the bus station to get a bus to the airports might be a pain if you have alot of luggage as it will be an upward incline heading there.
