It´s well located.
Too close to some red light places. Breakfast only ok.
comfortable, well located and economically priced. Very good breakfast
rooms a little small.
helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble - good advice re eating out, great location - clean rooms - speedy lifts - easy to use safe in the room
hot breakfast selection needs improvement - nice airy location for restaurant deserves better food
well placed. Small but nice room
asked for full payment at check-in
Shinjuku is a lovely neighbourhood and the hotel is located 5 min walk from the underground.
The street can be noisy in evenings especially at weekends.
breakfast was included and was satisfying. One side of the double bed was pushed tightly against the wall of the room making it difficult to get into or out of without disturbing the wife. For the money it was good value...the area was like soho in London so after dark the area becomes "interesting". Don't let this put you off, it close to trains and shopping.
The size of the room was petit but otherwise the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is quite is in the shopping center and near to the realway station.
Noise could be heared duiring the night.
It was in a seedy area and my wife was uncomfortable walking around alone
Excellent place, close to Shinjuku station. Nice breakfast, professional stuff. Tiny but fully-functional room. Note: it is on the two/third flow of a large building, but where is a elevator down to the street.
everything is good.
This was my second stay at BW Shinjuku Astina hotel. Ever since I first visited Tokyo 2012 I've dreamt of coming back and since I was very pleased last time with this hotel I chose it again. This time we had an executive room located on the 13th floor. It was 27m2 and had twinbeds each 120cm x 200cm. The executive floor/ rooms have some extras not included in standard floor/rooms such as morning newspapers ( hanging on the doorknob every morning) and plush bathrobes. Also special shampoo set ( from Algotherm, and smelling lovely) , new toothbrushes daily, razors, combs, facial creams and cleaners etc. There are an executive lounge , but don't expect to much. It's more of a meeting room but there's a drinkmachine and you can get hot and cold drinks( coffee, sodas) for free. Free wifi and it works well. Nice helpfull staff. Do use the restrooms at the reception and be amazed :) The bathroom in the room is great too. The breakfast was included in our booking. The coffee is great and the breakfast is fresh but it's nothing to write home about. You can choose to exchange your breakfast coupon for a 500 yen voucher that you can use at the Lawson downstairs. they have loads of foods and drinks. The location of this hotel is amazing. You have bars, restaurants, shops, metro, trains and entertainment on your doorstep. Yes it's in the red light district but never once were we approched or bothered of anyone. You feel totaly safe at all times! Don't miss the Golden Gai bar area behind the hotel. It's a lot of fun and a chance to connect to the locals and other tourists. They take a covercharge of about 500 yen to sit down, you get some snacks or a bowl of food for that price and the drinks/beer is about 500 yen each. Best bartime ever! Last time we avoided taking taxis since we heard it was so expensive but it's not, at least not compaired to swedish prices!
If you like Shinjuku, it's a good place to stay. Good location, near to the metro station, easy to move everywhere. Very good breakfast, professional reception, helpful. Nice, comfortable bathroom, away from the bed so that you can turn on the light without bothering those sleeping.
Small room just enough for two people. One side of the bed attached to the wall, inconvenient to get off at night.
The hotel has a good location, reasonable distance from Metro and Train stations.
The rooms where small, but that is not uncommon in East Asian larger cities and in Tokyo in particular. In general the hotel was as expected With no particlar negative sides, and we actually extended our staty With one day.
Very well located at Shinjuku Station which is the busiest station in Tokyo. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Breaksfast was enough for the morning but nothing for people who want variety. Convient store right outside at the hotel.
Everything about my stay.
Couldn't stay longer!
Our first experience there was perfect, though the room was not very comfortable.
Our second experience there was disappointing as we found its rule.s too rigid and impersonal and we could never have the breakfast we had paid for.
Very good located, just five minutes walking to the JR Shinjuku Station. The neighborhood is plenty of restaurants, bars, karaokes... The facilities are good and our room had enough place for us. Wifi ok and the staff knew english.
We'd been there for six days and maybe the buffet breakfast was quite boring. Everyday with the same food.
It is close to the station and breakfast is awesome.
It. would be Nice to have some points of reference to find the hotel.
location cleanliness toiletries
Location was great. Easy walk to Shinjuku station. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Clean and in good shape. Great value for money
Bed was rather hard but so tired every night we forgot about it.
- location near shin-Osaka station - quality of rooms - staff very friendly - easy to find
Super comfortable bed, good, even aircon, slightly larger than other rooms experienced in Japan in price range. Nice breakfast, good wifi Great location for exploring Shinjuku and right next to Golden Gai, though you wouldn't know it.
Worth being aware the area is big on nightlife, so busy in the surrounding streets all night. Cannot hear anything inside the hotel, but worth knowing.
location-three subway stations within walking distance. Lawson convenience store downstairs right in the center of the nightlife district (no worries, the windows are thick, you won't hear a thing) tons of dining options nearby clean and has a boutique feel bathrooms are very modern, the room comes with some nice amenities including a massage chair. Hotel staff is very friendly and speaks English. Free breakfast buffet
nothing, perfect experience
Positive attitude of the staff.
Nothing in particular
Excellent location, the hotel seated within meters to many convenient stores, restaurants, shopping malls and subways. Simply at the heart of Tokyo night life.
Nothing about the hotel but the rowdy crowds around.
