I wish I had been able to figure out how to operate the aircon remote- the room was either to cold or to hot, I must have been pressing the wrong buttoms (labeled in Japanese). Tad noisy when windows open, ok when closed.
great location 5min away from the central train station as well as metro, very friendly, helpful staff who spoke deceny English (they were not only helping with the touristy practicalities but also provided great insights into the Japanese life and culture), small rooms (as one would expect in Japan), but very cleverly designed: 2/3 of the room taken up by tatami bed (sort of wooden platform the sleeping futons were spread out), the lower part of the platform could be lifted providing wide & comfy access into a large storage space underneath. we had quite a lot of stuff, yet the room felt large as we could stove it all away under the bed. safety safe (code protected) for free at reception. shower (modern, high tech) & wc (even more high tech, :-) imen suite, fridge & tea/coffee making facilities in the reception lounge, absolutely clean. Air-con in the room. Lots of eateries & supermarket around. Ideal base for both the sights in Tokyo as well as the Shinkansen trains
