Extremely helpful staff who spoke very good english. comfortable and very clean rooms. Had facilities for cooking.

Internet connection was expensive if you didnt have your own computer

Only hotel out of the 5 we stayed in during our time in Japan that offered adjoining rooms (one outer door connecting to 2 inner rooms. Nicely apportioned rooms with small kitchen area and a fridge. Not really useable for a main meal but perfectly adequate for in room breakfasts.

None (and I mean zero) of the taxi drivers we used had any idea where the hotel was because it is new, but it is easy access from the main train station (within the min taxi fare of 640 Yen). Ensure you have it well marked on a map. The small map on the rear of the Hotel business card did not seem to help the taxi drivers ( and I don't know why..!!).

The room was very pleasant. Spacious for Japan and with a small kitchen. Location is okay; 15 minutes walk to main streets with restaurant and shops. A metro station and a supermarket are in front of the hotel. The hotel is brand new (2010).

Location is very good. Walk to Gion. Subway at door. Excellent fresh food/deli about 2 mins to left as you leave hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant.

The hotel was very reasonably priced. It was new and clean. The staff was friendly.

It would be great if they had an agreement with a fitness center in the area. Especially, since this might be considered an extended stay facility. Our room was too cramped for three people. (Two twin beds and a sofa bed). With the sofa bed open, you couldn't use the desk without having people climbing over each other.

Staff was excellent (Speaking English, friendly and very helpful), rooms were clean, spacy and with lots of facilities (mini kitchen with microwave). Very good bed! Internet, Large TV.

The breakfast was cheap but also very very simple. I would recommend taking your breakfast outside the hotel

Nice bright new rooms, with good satellite tv stations. Close to railway station. Hotel staff were friendly, but a little nosy in the fact they wanted to know who were staying in what room etc.

Hotel staff did not make up any maps of their own to help you get to the attractions, but this is very minor. My friends like this hotel the best of the 4 we stayed in Japan and I also agree it rates very highly.

Excellent staff with fluent English. Location is good. Room are spacious and very clean.

You have to pay in advance for your room, plus they take a print of your credit card for guarantee purposes. I didn't like that.

Our family spent 4 nights here in a studio double and a studio twin. Great value for this price. Cleanliness, comfort and modern facilities are difficult to beat. The staff were also nice and friendly. Although the location is not too close to major attractions or shopping places, the bus and metro systems are very convenient. Difficult to find a better place for this room rate anywhere else in Kyoto I suppose.

Welcoming rooms, openness and view, some truly exceptional staff with excellent English, knowledge of the local area and personality. The walkway into the hotel is beautiful.

We loved this hotel. Its was a real pleasure return to such a nice hotel at the end of the day! Everything is brand new and so clean! Staff is lovely. Twin rooms are big with extremely confortable beds, a small brand new kitchen with microwave, and tv with international channels as cnn, sbs and fox. There are some nice budget restaurants nearby (including 24hs McDonalds), a 7eleven across the road and a small 24hs supermarket. Subway station is at your front door, as well as local buses that will take you to the major sightseeing places.

Location is good. Not the best in Kyoto, but still pretty good. All major bus lines stopped just across the hotel so for us it wasn't a problem to get around. In Kyoto, no matter where you stay, you must get a bus to go to some major sightseeing temples since some of them are at the outskirts of the city. Having said that, having all major bus lines stopping just across the road was very convenient actually.
