The only negative, was no sway of a 3pm check in
Really enjoyed the little extras like free shave ice afternoon snack, free late nite udon snack, & option of different pillows. Staff were very helpful.
attention to details great. for example, they have a power converter that will fit all kinds of mobile and PDA including iPad on the power line by the bed side. The rooms are kept immaculately clean. And the breakfast buffet is great too.l
Close to train station
Clean. Great location.
Check in was late and check out early.
Clean rooms, good breakfast, convenient location
Location Cleanliness of the room Great breakfast, freshly prepared and lots of choice
location facilities (laundry, onsen) Breakfast
rooms a little small
The tiny mechanized parking lot. The breakfast, which was fresh, delicious, and reasonably-priced. The complimentary ramen in the evening. The smiles of the staff and their pleasure in making us happy.
Rather high cost per square meter of room space.
quite location near the main area. good breakfast good onsen
very small room with no proper window
Love the location, great for shopping at Shibuya and Harajuku/Omotesando. Just a short 10 min walk to Jingumae metro station.
As of most Tokyo hotels, rooms are rather small but functional.
This hotel was a great choice for the end of our staying in Tokyo! It's so close to Omotesando and Shibuya, everything is happening near around but still the hotel is located in a incredible quiet street! Everything was great, silence, amazing shower, the breakfast was deliciousss. The room is not big but it's enough to be confortable. Good bed and pillows, everything clean, great amenities in room. I strongly recommend the hotel!
wonderful staff, great bath, yummy breakfast. Location is conveniently between Harajuku & Shibuya (5 min walk each way) and right next door to Meiji Jingu.
Very hard to find, especially at night. Down a dark, but safe alley
Location between Harijuku and Shibuya is excellent.
Check out is 11am. And they are calling at 11.01 to make sure you're on your way down to check out. Efficient.
Loved the staff, breakfast, spa, soaking tub, shampoos, helpfulness of the staff, just plain a wonderful stay. Loved it. Free snow cones and ramen at night - doesn't get better for the price- unless you go to Japan and want to feel like you are in America. Then go somewhere else, because this felt like japan. Slippers and spa clothes in the room. Clean clean clean.
Ok the room was small - I asked for a second bed and while I was told there was not one, lo and behold the ottoman folds out to a bed-'it was tight in the room but cosy. A bit of a walk -10 minutes to the subway, mInutes or less, but the walk was safe and actually fine.
Polite staff. Always ready to help. Central location. Easy walk to railway.
hotel staffs are friendly and very helpful
The problems began when the second day my hand started to swell, and I clearly had bites. In fact I had to take my wedding ring off it has swelled so much on my ring finger. I thought perhaps it was something like an ant or a spider, but then on the last night I saw those tell tale signs you read about of three bites in a row, this time on my neck. So, I had bed bug bites. Apparently the hand is more sensitive, so those appear first. I went down to the front desk and asked if I could change rooms as I really did not want another night of biting. It is not the fault of the hotel that they have bugs, but how they deal with it is instructive. Basically, they said there were no other rooms, and they were fully booked and goodnight. I asked to speak to a manager, whose name I retained for a formal complaint. She finally said they have a cancellation - this at all at 11pm - so clearly they had not been strictly truthful in the first response. Then the manager suggested that if I see a doctor and get the a medical certificate, when I reach my next destination (Seoul), proving they were bed bug bites, I would receive a discount. I got upset, as I never asked, or wanted a discount. All I wanted was to change rooms. In the end I got to change rooms, but there was no offer to help me move rooms, and the whole experience was one of rudeness, making me feel that somehow this was my fault. If the hotel is reading this, please take note, for this is really not how to treat customers.
The staff at the reception was always very kind and helpful. Great sauna, laundry, breakfast was good. The hotel gives its best to make the stay very enjoyable.
Rooms are tiny for European standards.
We managed to get a great price on Booking.com for our time at the Dormy Inn in Tokyo. The hotel was in a great location, close to Shibuya and Harajuku. Even though the rooms we booked were advertised as single rooms all our rooms had double beds, a roomy bathroom, kettle, fridge, TV and wifi. We found the rooms were quite spacious for Japan. I also got to enjoy the bath and sauna area. This was a great place to find some relaxation time. I also took advantage of the pillow selections available. There was a large selection available for breakfast and free ramen served in the lobby in the evening. The staff were friendly and fantastic, going out of their way to help with what we needed as well as ensuring our rooms were cleaned each day. Would highly recommend the Dormy Inn and the location is superb for exploring Tokyo!
cleanliness of the place
location was a bit far from the train station
For a standard hotel, everything was tip top. The rooms are not large, but clean, comfortable, well equipped. Breakfast was very good. We got free noodles in the evening. The public baths are very nice. No complaints.
If you are looking for an authentic Japanese place to stay, this might not be for you.
First of all, even if you need a small walk to get to the hotel, it's easy to go around. Shibuya and Harajuku are really near! A small walk and you're in street that make you forget that you're walking. The hotel is great, there is free noodles in the evening, the room is nice, great!
Location is great, easy to get to metro and rail. Hotel is clean and provide very good breakfast. Quality/price is very good.
Staff speak poor english and rooms are small.
