E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku    

Price, convenience to station (next door), quiet, free wifi, good a/c, free water

Tiny room and bathroom. Typical Japanese style compact room which was ok for 2 nights but couldn't stay for 1 wk. No wardrobe or place to store luggage so had to climb around to get in and out of room! That being said it wasn't too much of a problem because we only needed a place to sleep each night as our days were packed.

Once you get your bearings in this crazy city this hotel is in a great location. Don't be fooled by the Higashi Shinjuku subway station next door as its great for a few lines (and when you have your bags) but this hotel is only a 10 min walk from the main Shinjuku area so there is no need to mess around changing trains from Higashi. The rooms are small but this is Japan - unless you stay at a expensive Western style place like the Hyatt you will always have small rooms. The room was cleaned and supplied with fresh towels and toiletries every day. Vending machines on some floors are handy for snacks (and beer at cheap prices!) Tully's coffee underneath is great too

The hotel was great value for money. Only 10 minute stroll down to shinjuku station (which will take you anywhere). Very clean. Free Internet. After some slight communication difficulty the staff were helpful and booked a reservation for a restaurant near by.

The location is just on the outskirts of the red light district. And if you walk through Kabukicho to get to get to the hotel. Be prepared for some gentle hassling (no worse than a Moroccan salesman). The rooms are small and you can bang your head/knee/toe from time to time. Maybe I'm just clumsy! The Internet, whilst free, can be temperamental. Especially on phones. My laptop was mainly fine.

Modern, clean, good location. Pyjamas, slippers and toiletries were provided.

The hotel is next to the subway station, it is very convenience. Also have the convenience store around. We can find anything to eat 24 hr.

The bathroom is very small.

Location and friendly staff

This hotel is excellently located for spending time in the Shibuya/Shinjuku areas of Tokyo. It is a very clean, secure, modern hotel. I could not fault it. Staff also have English. Very conveniently located. Highly recommended.

Breakfast limited in Tully's (though staff there also very helpful) - and street noise was an issue sometimes.

The temperature control shower facility was great as you can permanently set the temperature instead of having to keep adjusting it. Next to subway or 15 mins walk to Shinjuku JR line.

A hospital is nearby so bear with the siren and loud speaker.

Fantastic location, Higashi-Shinjuku tram station just beside the hotel. Very small rooms but clean.

Location of the hotel is good, interior design is modern, the room and bathroom technically well equipped, even A/C did the job ...

The room and the bathroom were absolutely the smallest in size ever seen.
