Hotel Gimmond Kyoto  

This hotel is in a great location in the city of Kyoto. It's in an area right next to the Karasuma-Oike subway station, and from there you can navigate to anywhere in the city. The surrounding area also has lots of stores and restaurants, and there's a museum close by. The hotel is also about a minute's walk from two convenience stores with ATMs, where you can buy snacks and booze any time day or night. The restaurants inside the hotel are also pretty great: an Italian one and a Japanese style one. The service is excellent, the rooms are clean, and if you can't speak Japanese, most of the staff speak English and are very polite. I recommend this hotel.

Very good location to the shopping center of city including some interesting spots also very convenient to get to train and bus station about 10 minutes by subway including walk!

Our first thought when arriving to this hotel was wow, it looks simply gorgeous. The lobby has a very exclusive feeling and its free Wi-Fi if you ask for the password. The rooms were big and in the double room the beds were kingsize. The staff were very friendly and english speaking. There was an italian restaurant in the hotel too, definitely worth a try! It was close to the imperial garden and the subway so absolutely a good location. WIll definitely go again!

Location, close to restaurants and shopping. Very good to watch the Jidai Matsuri event which was right in front of the hotel.

Room too small, hard to move around after placing the luggage.

This hotel was fine for a stay in the city: reasonable cost, clean and comfortable and very well located for walking, cycling, tube and bus around the city. Very easy access to the tube for International Conference Centre, and easy walking to the river, Gion and downtown shopping area.

Nice hotel in good location. Subway is only 2 minutes walk.

Nice hotel- convenient, right in the center of Kyoto. The rooms were spacious for the area. Free internet hook up right in the room. Neat and clean

Hotel Gimmond staff were awesome. The young woman spoke English very well and was very keen to assist us. The room was also pleasantly cozy.

A bit far from any of the main bus routes. However, the walk to Nishi Market is nice. I recommend going to Nishi Market.
