The location is brilliant. The staff on reception were always so friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was only ok. Sometimes the dishes and trays were not clean. The toaster was very slow. The variety was very limited.
Location Location Location Breakfest Brand new hotel
Room is too small
Particularly how helpful the staff were.
This hotel does have an excellent location and a (slightly peeling) chic. They include a decent breakfast and the amenities and service are good.
I booked a Premiere Double, paying more than the other two types of standard double rooms and ended up with a room that looked like a hallway converted into a room with a view of a wall from the small window. It felt like sleeping in a cupboard. Some of the rooms here are really small even by Japan standards. The prices are kind of high, riding on ratings at a certain website I guess, the staff are nice but uninterested generally - oh also forget about anything approaching an early check in.
The location is fantastic--the heart of Shibuya is only a footbridge away. The breakfast was lovely; no stale cereal and overcooked eggs here! Instead, we got fish and assorted Japanese nibbles. I never thought once in my life that I'd go crazy over corn soup. The room was a little on the small side, but it was tidy, had all the essentials we needed, and it was comfortable.
WiFi was spotty in our room, but it didn't matter that much since we were out most of the day. We had trouble adjusting the temperature of the room as the instructions were only written in kanji (?). I only spoke Japanese and had to ask the front desk how to do so. English instructions might be helpful. We didn't experience this personally, but if you are carrying your huge pieces of luggage, you will have a difficult time maneuvering around, due to the size of the room. (To reiterate: This didn't happen to us because we only had one small carryon bag each, but I foresee this becoming an issue for travelers who will be in Tokyo for a few days.)
It was a very modern hotel in a great spot. Close to the shibuya crossing. Would stay here again but would wait until after the renovation is completed.
So comfortable, it felt much more luxurious than I expected for this price. Loved the peekaboo bathroom.
Nothing. Best value for money for this area
A very nice small hotel, right in the heart of Shibuya so you're walking distance to, the shops nightlife and some of the good restaurants. The hotel is clean, the staff very helpful , The room are small but well appointed, and modern. There is an elevator, a restaurant attached to the hotel. You. Have the choice of two restaurants for breakfast, and until 11 winch is rare in Tokyo.
This hotel is located on a lovely and quiet little street that is littered with nondescript restaurants, cafes and bars for a quiet night in. Alternatively you can be in the heart of Shibuya in 5 minutes walk. We had a wonderful room, and ended up being moved from one suite to another as we were upgraded to accomodate some other guests, which was not a problem for us. Fantastically designed room with an upstairs and downstairs section, which was slightly over crowded for the amount of bags we had (from a 4 week around the world trip), but normal travel bags would be no issue. Smoking inside was common in all rooms we were in, this may be a turn off for some people, but it was not for us. TV was bad, no English channels at all which is odd given the amount of Western travelers checking in. We weren't there to watch TV, but it would have been nice to follow the news on BBC/CNN when waking up or getting ready. No food vending, but there is a 24 hour Jonathan's at the top of the street as well as a 7 Eleven for food outside the hotel.
Clean and modern design. Includes a free breakfast with either a Japanese or European breakfast. Free wifi and lots of maps and tourist info available at the reception. Very close to Shibuya station.
- very helpful staff - nicely decorated room - good location
Superb customer service and accommodation in a magical town.
Comfortable hotel a few mins walk from Shibuya crossing and station.
Breakfast on the 1st floor not great.
Location and price
Staff gave us back wrong passports and weren't overly concerned! Poor English with most staff
Location is 5min walk from Shibuya station. Helpful staff. Lively bar.
Room size but it's Tokyo what do you expect?
Shibuya Granbell of the few boutique hotels in Tokyo. Located near one of the biggest train stations in Tokyo, it's ideally located to see the rest of the city. The interiors are pretty cool. I've been coming here for years, as it is one of my favorite places to stay in Tokyo.
Breakfast was inedible. The room was the size of the bed (it went from wall to wall)
The location being so close to Shibuya station is excellent. Loads of great spots are in walking distance. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Be sure to have the traditional Japanese breakfast too which is delicious.
The double room is quite small but not unusual for Tokyo. Could be worse!
It smells due to cigarettes and paint. Hallways too dark.
Hotel features some amazing architecture and interior design including elegant rooms and beautifully fitted out loft/2 level suites, 2 restaurants (the ground floor one was very popular) and is very close walk to Shibuya railway station(s) and Tokyu and Hikarie department stores, also a pleasant walk from Harajuku. Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was delicious too. Great city views from upper floors
Slightly hard to find however the directions provided by hotel on booking were excellent and easy to follow.
Only stayed for one night and had a memorable experience because your staff was so professional , kind and accomodating. A bit pricey for a single room, but cozy and clean. Great location !
The dark hallway
Nice Island Theme Room. Modern Shower. Includes Breakfast. Wifi Available.
A Little Far From The Main Shibuya Center. But Still Ok To Walk 10-15 Minutes
location breakfast included
heavy door not suitable when travelling with bags room too small table too crowded with many things
