Good value for money. Liked the room amenities like separate toilet & baths and the two extra beds are not pull out sofa beds/futons but are real full size beds/cots in place of the face to face sofa seating are fit for adults. Pine wood wall/ceiling claddings give it a nice cozy cabin feel. For japanese standards, room is very large, almost a suite, but at half price than urban hotels.
Breakfast a bit expensive, buy maybe to make up for the inexpensive charge on the nice room. Breakfast room has grander view of the lake, especially the sunrise, through high ceiling glass so like a warm sun room in winter, maybe this is what you actually pay for! Can't complain on that!
Huge room by any standards but especially by Japanese standards
Advertised Wi-Fi was not available during our three day stay
Superbe cadre avec vue sur le lac
escellent for family, but a bit isolated 1 hour by train to reach Kyoto
Directly on the beach
The bedrooms looking over the lake were fantastic and what I presume we're eagles, we're flying in front of us all day. The rooms were clean and the staff, despite speaking very little English, went to every length to help us. The scenery was great and everyone we met greeted us as friends. No rubbish around and no crime about by the look of things. Unlike Blackburn, where we live, there are no low-life's or scum on every street corner!! Would be a great, safe place to live if you could speak the language.
The carpets in the corridors were past their 'sell by date'. The food was not to our taste but it looked fantastic and that's just our personal taste- I'm sure that the locals loved it. It was the end of the season so the pool wasn't in use and there were no 'lie-lows'. Very quiet little town so no good for youngsters looking for a night out.
the location, view, comfort were all good. the staff tried really hard, although they were reliant on the General Manager for any English speaking.
The restaurant food was expensive and probably the worst we experienced in 10 days in Japan - even the rice was not good
Awesome location and the rooms are just a perfect size for couple of nights :)
Just by the lake, this off season. We probably was the only room there.
The only Resturant in the hotel was expensive. Nearby was one Indian resturant and that's it. We end up drove to 7-11 for cup of noodle soup.
