Room was clean and comfortable
I liked the service and the kindness of its staff
The price was overrated for the facilities and the appliances the hotel offers
Even need to share bath room, I still feel very comfortable to stay here. Because the staff here are very sweet and the open kithchen is great.
Could pay accomodation fee by credit card although cash only was described at the introduction homepage.
You have to take off your shoes at the entrance. Hotel staff is not so friendly. No lifts to a 4th floor.
Concept is good n very clean, organize.
the location is not easy to find for beginners and it somewhere in narrow neighbourhood. And difficult to bring up the heavy luggage to 3rd fl. Seems this hotel for backpackers.
Cosy social apartments offering quiet location, excellent common areas, great café, and friendly, helpful staff. Handy to trains, bus, parks, tourist attractions, markets and shopping. Really enjoyed our stay.
Stairs not a problem for us, but please note there is no elevator.
I stayed for one night. This hotel is in nezu, and is quite difficult to find because it is hidden inside a residential sideroad. However it was a great stay. Excellent. Really clean and comfortable.
Location is hard to find.
A very good place near ueno station and the Ueno-koen. Clean, modern, very quite, helpful staff. A huge lounge and a very well equiped kitchen.
Nice bar wich is used for breakfast, dinners and drinks. Nice rooms with hotel like services (they clean the rooms daily for ex.).
Shared bathrooms, the capacity is just ok. So you might need to wait 10 minutes in the morning rush hour.
If you are looking for a Hotel as it is advertised then you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a Hostel then you will be very happy. The staff were fine and having Laundry facilities was great. (FYI the washing and drying can take up to 4 hours.)
If you are looking for a Hotel as it is advertised then you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a Hostel then you will be very happy. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR which was not mentioned in the description and something that would have been a deal breaker and caused me to not book the "Hotel". Being put on the 4th floor with an artificial hip and knees was NOT fun.
Nice place, nice guy
clean room, common part are clean and nice, a bar in the hotel, well place for walking in ueno, quiet place near ueno
no bathroom in the room but common part are clean, so...
- design, staff, ambience
- air condition in the rooms, when on the air gets dry quickly, when off it gets too hot
The communal areas are very stylish. The cafe's food was quite good. Seems to be popular among young people. Quiet, in a cute neighborhood. Probably most comfortable for single travelers. Staff was nice.
Rooms are tiny. Feels like a dorm or hostel. Even the "queen" room w/ private bathroom is difficult to move around in. Furniture in room makes it feel more cramped (for instance, chair that doesn't fit under the desk). Bathroom is miniscule. No closet. No elevators. Staff not available at all times for check in or help. Cafe service is painfully slow. Almost tripped on the stairs again and again because guests are required to wear room slippers (essentially Crocs) that were (for me) much too large. Quite a long walk to Ueno station. Closest station's (Nezu) train lines are very limited and don't connect to Ueno.
I was traveling with my mom and my sister's family (incl a 6 yrs old child). The hospitality shown by the staffs are amazing. They go the extra mile to accommodate our needs such as helping to print the tickets, drop us at the nearby station, etc for no costs. These helps made their service more personal. The things that you might not find in big hotels. The cafe is cozy! I really enjoyed my stay there and wish to come back if I ever visit Tokyo again :)
No elevator. I don't mind to take the stairs but when you travel with your elderly parent then you need to put this in mind
it is very clean, quiet and comfortable, the transportation is very close to the hotel. the stuffs is very nice and helpful.
the internet connection is very poor in the room.
new facilitis. comfortable kitchen, lounge/
hard to find
Great interior design Clean rooms Own cooking facilities Lovely bar and terrace Helpful staff
Watch out when you book... Small double rooms have beds of only 1.30m ... Really uncomfortable for 2 people Wifi was present on all floors, but for good connectivity you should leave your room door open
There is not any elevator. A little bit far from the main station ( ueno). The tv was unfunctional being difficult to watch it from the bed No reception service at night
Good design. Relaxin' café. Nice neighbourhood.
no elevator, mattress too hot
Washing machines free of charge, even if hotel was fully booked you don't hear or see almost anybody, pay with visa/ master even if booking.com says only cash, we had a free room upgrade (by chance because hotel fully booked), nice typical neighborhood which is quiet too
Wifi could be better, difficult to find (bring a plan! No signs and not mentioned on the local plan at the metro station)
The check-in Counter available in the morning, so I could not get any help. The caffe people were not trained properly, and they could not interact to guests the way they are supposed to do.
Spacious common areas Very well-furnished kitchen Good neighborhood location in Tokyo Close to Chiyoda subway line
Long walk from JR Ueno Station
The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. The price was good for Tokyo. The kitchen and lounge area were very extensive and awesome.
Using a public toilet and shower is a bit of a pain at times. The location was a little hidden from the main streets so it's hard to find at first. It's a bit of a walk to the central part of Ueno too.
