Guest House Kingyoya  

Kingyoya is a very nice guesthouse with very friendly and helpful staff.

The location is a little far from the train station (~20minute walk from the nearest Kuramaguchi Eki).

We liked the authenticity of the guesthouse, made a change from staying in am modern hotel. It made our stay in Kyoto more genuine.

For us, we are not use to shower facilities being in an out house in the garden, but this is due to our living on a regular basis, not something that the guest house can change.

Beautiful and tranquil guesthouse with paper sliding doors, wooden floors and beams, kotatsu, traditional Japanese garden, futons.. Owners lovely and looked after us - lending us bikes, recommending restaurants and sights, replacing spilt beers. Traditional breakfast was delicious experience- highly recommend it.

Location bit far from downtown Kyoto where majority of shops and restaurants are.

The place was truly amazing and warm. A great place to take a short break from a busy life.

The location was initially hard to find.

Gorgeous traditional guest house - stunning spaces (traditional japanese) I would highly recomend! Very lovely staff - very helpful with info when needed.

Great character of a traditional wooden house. The host was very friendly and accomodating in helping us out with a problem on our booking. We only stayed one night but enjoyed the nice japanese breakfast. The location is a bus ride away from town centre, but very short walk to a fantastic traditional onsen which we enjoyed late in the evening.

日本家屋でゆったり過ごせた。スタッフの対応も親切で良かった。

员工英语流利；传统的日式早餐也不错。

位置距离市区稍远，需要坐公交；bathroom比较小，只不过可以步行5分钟去体验公众澡堂。

町家ならではの建物に細部まで行き届いた心遣い。居心地が良くて着いたとたん寛げました。子供たちも「落ち- 着く～」と早々にぐっすりやすんでいました。スタッフの方も柔らかな優しい雰囲気で好感がもてました。朝食- も美味しく「おかわりどうぞ」といってくださったので、皆ご飯とお味噌汁を沢山いただきました。朝は西陣の- 町並みを散策しつつ、晴明神社へ参拝できました。

特にないのですが、お部屋は２階でお手洗いが１階だったので、寝る時に「チビは大丈夫かなぁ」と気になりま- した。

完全京都町屋建筑，体验传统日本家庭，员工可以讲流利的英语，日式早餐非常赞。总之如果要体验日式町屋，这- 是性价比极佳的选择。 我住的是榻榻米，非常舒适。

距离市区略远。不过有公车可以抵达。

服務態度超好，主人jumpo 很客氣和善，會很親切的提供各項服務跟資訊 It's a very nice guest because of host's kindly service

行動が自由で制限されることがなかった。 共有スペースが人で埋まってしまうことはなく、快適に過ごせた。 無料サービスのお茶をたくさんいただき、ご馳走様でした。 マナーの良い宿泊者が多く、ハウス内は非常に静かでくつろぐことができた。

Web サイトで紹介されている地図がわかりにくい。 朝食のメニューにバリエーションがほしい。 共有PCのエリアが暗くて使いずらかったので照明がほしい。 睡眠中の貴重品や外出時に置いて出かけた手荷物が心配だった（これは何事もなかったので、いらぬ心配に終わ- りました）。

Perfect traditional japanese experience. Great host! Spectacular garden (especially at night when it rains). Beautiful traditional building. We stayed in the deluxe room and it was quite big and very nice, like you would imagine an old japanese sleeping room. The rule to be quite after 10 PM works well. No one made any noise so no problem because of the somewhat small walls. Rent a traditional yukata for sleeping. The breakfast is also traditional and good. Free internet station. The shared bathrooms and so on, could not be better. Each facility is used by one person at the time, so you still have privacy.

A bit far away from the center.

服務人員的親切照顧，到現在都印象深刻。入住町屋的經驗滿有趣的，附近有很有名的船岡溫泉，在京都就可以享- 有在地的生活體驗。

Traditional Japanese style accommodation. I wanted to show my parents this style of accommodation. We really liked staying there and the Guest House was very beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only set back is the location-it is a little far from Kyoto station but still close to bus stops and some sights.

距離京都車站有點遠，位於住宅區中，不好找。

Les hôtes sont très accueillants, la maison est superbe. Idéal pour découvrir un intérieur traditionnel japonais et rencontrer d'autres voyageurs. Quartier sympathique, mais les trajets en bus et en train vers les sites à visiter sont longs.
