Guest House Miyakojima  

We really enjoyed our stay there. We got picked up at the airport and the staff helped us with all our questions and requests (car rental, tips for day trips, good snorkling spots etc). The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. Also, there were free bikes, scooters and snorkling equipment for us to use. The kitchen is very well equipped, as well. We would really like to visit the Miyakojima guesthouse again.

There is not one thing I could think of.

A bit messy - but very clean.

Very laid back atmosphere.had free scooter to use .we all pitched in sdme money andthe staff and guests cooked every night the kitchen had a great array of spices you could use.they did a supermarket run every day and there was shopping 10 minutes by bike

5min bike ride to the best beach in the island. Free rental of bikes is definitely a plus. Very helpful staff

Far away from all the shops and restaurants on the island. Closest convenience store is 5-10min drive away

Nice room, wifi, and a very funny and interesting host. Absolutely go there if you want to have fun with a local :)

A car is really required there, and restaurants are very hard to find in the area.

The place was really cozy, and Aya, the staff member was really nice. The guesthouse owner was quite unfriendly, though. Although the site advertises free airport pickup, the owner tried to charge me because I wasn't staying two nights. The free pickup was one of the reasons I chose this guesthouse, so I stood my ground and refused to pay for it. I did agree to pay for drop-off, though. The owner complained about me in Japanese, which I guess he thought I couldn't understand. He was pretty cold after that, too. But all in all, it's a nice area and guesthouse, though. If you don't rent a car, be prepared to use the bikes though, because you can't easily walk to any of the sights. And make sure to be back before sunset, as there are rarely street lights in the rural areas and my bike wasn't equipped with a light.

Big room with own veranda to sit outside, large kitchen and common area. Draft beer!!! 50cc scooters to use for free. Very friendly and helpful staff! Easy and cheap car rental system through the guesthouse. By bike or scooter close to one of the greatest beaches I have ever seen.

The next conbini is quite far and there are no resaturants or bars close by.

We appreciated the position close to the best beach, the common facilities (including bikes and motorbikes) , the kindness of the host, the double room (properly conditioned), english properly spoken. We strongly reccommend for your relax in Miyako.unfortunately we spent only two nights as we were in delay with our schedule.

The guest house was well worth the price. The room was comfortable and spacious, and included free services like airport pickup, bike rental, washing machine, kitchen use, snorkeling equipment, and even free bananas from the garden. Aya, the employee we interacted with the most, was really kind and helpful. She also speaks English well. The guest house is walking distance (although better biking distance) from Maehama beach, which was lovely.

It was hard to stay here without a drivers license only because the nearest restaurants and supermarkets weren't really in walking distance. We really appreciated the use of rental bikes and free airport pickup. The hostel does offer paid transport to other places on the island and taxis are available--just be prepared to spend a bit.

I loved this place so much!!!! The staff felt more like friends, the rooms were comfortable, the facilities were perfect, the location is perfect for getting to the beach (by free bike rental from them) and doesn't take long to get to kurima island either. So all in all a fantastic stay...reccomend to anyone!!

Nothing - everything was great!

De ligging was erg centraal op het eiland, je zit vlakbij 2 goede stranden en met de fietsen kan je overal makkelijk komen, bovendien werden we opgehaald vanaf het vliegveld en weer teruggebracht. Het was tevens erg gezellig in de woonkamer 's avonds met andere reizigers.

Het hostel is erg op kitesurfers gericht en de eigenaar spreekt niet zo goed Engels.

Das Guesthouse hat sich wie eine grosse WG angefuehlt. Es war leicht Leute kennenzulernen, aber trotzdem ruhig. Ich habe mich wirklich wie zu Hause gefuehlt. Ausserdem ist der Betreiber des Guesthouses unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit gewesen.

super freundliches personal und eine tolle stimmung im haus.ist man offen und möchte gerne neue menschen kennen lernen,quatscht man abends bei einem glas wein im gemütlichen aufenthaltsraum. cheffin spricht gutes englisch und die fahrräder standen uns stets kostenfrei zur verfügung. leider kann man die roller nur mit internationalem führerschein nutzen und die busverbindungen sind etwas mühselig.

It was very similar to staying in someone's home which was fine but lacked privacy.

静かな環境で、海まで近くのんびりできます。ゲストハウス内も大変清潔で、お部屋も必要な物は全てある感じ- でした。リゾートホテルのようにバスタブやレストランは付いてないですがバックパッカーの求める物は揃って- いると思います。

Great atmosphere, close to the best beach on island, very friendly staff, chillout place

Aya (the host) is amazingly friendly and helpful. It made all the difference since no many people speak English around. We did not have much contact with owner but really appreciated the airport pick up, use of kitchen, bikes and snorkel gear free of charge. Those little things really makes the guesthouse attractive to stay. They also helped with cheap car rental which is recommended since there are not many restaurants around and you can't visit all the island by bike. We would surely come back there.

The bed is not very soft, but much better than tatami room, so no complains really.
