I liked the location of the Hilton and it is near to many of the shopping areas and very convenience for taking short walks.
The paid inherent it keeps on going off it is not worth the money.
Friendly service & good amenities.
Underpowered hair dryer. Cumbersome free Wifi.
The Hotel located quite far from Nagoya train station. So if you want to go shopping, it will be a long walk about 15 minutes to the nearest shopping mall.
In the middle of a 3 week visit to Nagoya, we needed to find a place for 5 days. Careful search of the Internet found us a great deal on a room. The large room, friendly staff, and superb location made for a nice getaway. We tried the room service special which lwas exceptionally good, beautifully presented, and great value. In summary, a very pleasant stay.
The beds could have been a bit softer to cater to our old bones, but everything else was wonderful. We did not opt for having to pay for in room wifi, as the free wifi in the lobby, while sitting in comfy lounge chairs, was adequate for our purposes.
I had the Japanese classic room. The room was very good but not worth the money paid for. The staff was not very helpful. They did not even have a Nagoya jr-subway map. For such a hefty price, at least the wifi should have been free
Its a hilton so you expect a decent standard in service the bed was good too
it was kind of old kind of a 3 star hotel
Lack of service in the foyer / lounge area on the ground level tipical of Hilton in South Africa & Japan includes Double Tree in Cape Town
Comfortable bed and warm welcome.
The comfy beds, robes, pool and gym.
Every thing was excellent . It could be better if Wi -Fi was free in the room .
I liked the toiletries ie Peter Thomas Roth. Unlike other hotels where you need to remind them to stock your daily toiletries, Hilton Nagoya Housekeeping ensures your daily supply is complete. The tall lady by the taxi hotel door is always pleasant and accommodating. There is a starbucks store and coco convenience store across the hotel.
While the lobby looks a bit updated, the room/bathroom and hallways are old and a bit smelly. There is no complimentary bottled water and wifi in your room.
Cleanliness, security, warmth and politeness
A very quick blast through - just two nights. The bed was particularly comfortable though I didn't sleep well because of time zone adjustments on such a short visit. the pool and jacuzzi were pleasant though arranged for laps rather than families bathing together. I didn't use the gym, though it seemed large and well equipped. The staff were very agreeable and helpful.
As vegetarians, we didn't try the flagship restaurants. The Terrace restaurant had very limited vegetarian options -- especially in the salad departments.
My wife & I spent 2nights in an executive room on the 25th floor in mid September . Our room was spacious & appealing with a comfortable king size bed. Staff were very polite & helpful as is common in most Japanese hotels. Location was good, around 15 mins walk to train station or 5 mins in taxi, depending on traffic. Choice of shops and eateries within easy walking distance. Would return to the Hilton in the blink of an eye.
Warm reception from staff. Staff, hospitable and dutiful. Polite to both visitors and the hotel Management bosses. The rooms are comfortable and also clean.
Excellent service in the club room. Wonderful suggestions of restaurants and city sights, without being intrusive.
Room Cleaningness Beauriful Window view Great facilities and leisure activities Hotel shuttle van to nagoya castle nd nagoya station
Hotel shuttle van only a few selection and limited seats quota
~staff very helpful ~the bed is very comfortable ~excellent light blocking window cover ~inclusive bike borrowing scheme ~good gym & sauna, hot+cold bathing ~big swimming pool ~location good for restaurants ~bus stop for airport next to hotel
Good location for sight seeing, excellent customer service.
The staff were very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our stay. We stayed in a Japanese Suite which I would highly recommend. It was spacious and comfortable for two adults and two children with a fantastic Japanese style bathroom. Our suite had good views of Nagoya (especially at night with all the great neon lights) and overlooked the swimming pool, spa and tennis court. The buffet breakfast was fantastic offering a wide variety of both western and Japanese food.
We would have preferred being a bit closer to Nagoya Station but without kids you could walk in about 15mins. We caught cabs which cost about Y800 and took 5 mins. I'm looking forward to staying here again.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large and temperature was adjustable. The gym & spa were nice additions. The breakfast buffet was varied.
Minor things: The King size bed seemed kind of short. Anyone over 6 feet tall (180 cm) might have a problem. The breakfast area was somewhat narrow and cramped, although the staff did their best to see that guests were accomodated. Also, the shuttle service to Nagoya station ends at 5 p.m. It would be nice to have this service available until later in the evening.
5* hotel staff can't speak well English.
Wifi need to pay
Shuttle to Nagoya Station Toiletries from Peter Thomas Roth
Great staff, friendly and helpful. Had English speaking staff which helped with the language barrier. Highly recommend.
