No air conditioning and huge window that swung wide with no screen and with a bed under it, big risk for children. Also very loud on the annex side, with the train under it. We were going to stay there again this weeken when picking up family from new Zealand, but thinking of changing booking.

Few minutes the narita airport, free parking.

Just a normal European-style hotel, nothing exciting, nothing ugly. Free shuttle-bus to the airport.

Internet is expensive. No way to open a window - quite bad air inside a room!

It provided free 2-way shuttle to the narita airport. Its location was also central to the train station, restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store.

The airport shuttle started at 7am only.. Not good if your flight is early morning. It took about 25-30 minutes. Their toilet had not automated bidet, neither did they have telephone style of shower head. This is essential for us for cleanliness.

This is a good place to stay on your last day in Japan, it certainly beats the hotel complexes in the airport. The staff are courteous and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious. Narita town thrives on the passing traveller trade, there are any number of memento shops on the road down to its famous shrine. We had an outstandingly good meal close by. The hotel breakfast was excellent, with tasty Japanese and Western food. The coffee was excellent, in all a good start to a long long flight home. The hotel runs a punctual shuttle service to the airport, and when ours was full they put on a second for travellers behind us. It's not far from the airport at all.

Our stay at the Mercure Hotel Narita was overnight as we were catching a flight back to the uk the next morning. We had travelled from Kyoto. The hotel was not as close to the airport as we thought but it had a free bus to the airport the next morning. It was quick and easy to check in and out and provided items such as night wear, toothbrushes etc which made the overnight stay very convenient.

We booked on line but were not told about the free airport bus and the times it ran. We ended up missing the last bus by a couple of minutes and it cost us 3,000+ yen for a taxi. Also on booking in the breakfast deal was not explained to us. However, we decided to eat at the airport.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and advised up about transport to the airport. We were very disappointed to find that we would not be able to use the shuttle bus to the airport. This was one of our main reasons for selecting the hotel.

Lack of access to the shuttle bus. We had a more difficult journey and it added to our cost. The information on the website was misleading.

Location near Narita. 10 minutes from airport. Walking distance to old town Narita and Shinjoji Temple complex.

Staff was excellent. Convenient airport shuttle. Great buffet breakfast at Seychelles Restaurant.

The Mecure is perfect for someone transiting thru Narita airport and need a nice place to stay without spending a fortune. They have a freee shuttle bus to and from the airport and the hotel is across the street from 2 train stations and bus depot. The hotel has several resturants but there are also many little resturants around. You can get a little fresh air and go for a walk around the little town between your flights. This is the second time we have used the Mecure in Narita in transiting thru Narita airport after a long flight and we will used them again. We like the location because we are not locked into staying at a hotel out in the middle of nowhere like many of the major Narita airport hotels.

Clean room friendly staff

Note pool closure for 2 nights on a regular montly basis should be in advertisement-- we stayed because of pool and it was closed-- we would have stayed elsewhere if this was known. Shuttle service to airport was infrequent requiring early departure from hotel and long wait at airport

Its near to train station. Easy to find foods in this area.
