Central location made access convenient.

Extremely small room and bathroom, especially considering the price. The sink and the tub shared the same faucet! Noise in room whenever the person in the adjoining room turned and hit the wall while sleeping.

Spacious room and comfortable beds. Situated in front of Kyoto station.

it was a great location in easy walking distance to the train station. staff were great and the hotel and room were clean

Although this isn't the area of Kyoto I would stay in again it is extremely convenient when arriving and departing as its opposite the train station. Also a lot of the temples in Kyoto are best reached by bus and the bus station is here too. Lots of convenience stores and great choice of food outlets in the shopping mall that is the station! The staff here are amazing - like anywhere in japan very helpful and polite but everyone in this hotel goes out of their way to please you - even the cleaners - the origami crane as a welcome in the room was a lovely touch! Would absolutely recommend!

My room was a little small, with no view, but it was comfortable.

The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. Some of them could communicate in fluent English which really helps when we don't even understand any Japanese at all. The hotel rate is so reasonable yet so close to Kyoto Station which makes it a superb choice of hotel.

The frontage of the hotel is very inconspicuous. Had to ask around for direction and yet missed it even though we walked passed it.

Good location near Kyoto train station, which has several bus rides to countryside/temples. It is also near (2 subway station) from main city shopping/market district.

Hotel provides basic facilities. Should have some tea/coffee in lobby... only water, sigh !!

Location is plain awesome. Can't beat that. There are lots of goodies and information for tourists available at the front office.

Small rooms, but that's the same in each and every hotel I've been in Japan, so it's not useful to complain about that. Windows suck or just are missing, so claustrophobics may want to ask a room with a nice window.

The hotel position is awesome: in front of the Kyoto station, beside the Kyoto Tower. Rooms were not too small, not a breath-taking place but great value for money.

No real complains or negatives.

Opposite Kyoto Station which is convenient for traveling both train and bus.

Location, location, location! Straight across the road from the train station. The room was small, but not as bad as I was expecting. There is a cafe below the hotel which provides OK breakfasts. The staff is very helpful and speak good English. Would recommend if you're budget conscious.

Best thing about the hotel is the location across the road from the main JR train station. Lots of restaurants and eateries nearby.

Very tiny bathroom which required a step up to get into it and then a rather unsafe step down to get out of the bathroom. It appeared to be a plastic pre-fab module bathroom which had been placed in the corner of the room. For such a tourist town and considering the price we paid, we were unable to get anything other than green tea to drink. Even reception had no normal black tea. This hotel was twice the price of our luxurious hotel in Tokyo and with only very basic rooms and amenities. Wouldn't stay here again!

The location is great - it's right opposite the station's central exit, and just across from the bus station. Very convenient. The room was fine - basic, but clean.

It was very expensive for the room size and comfort. The bed wasn't too comfy and had a pretty hard (Japanese style) pillow.

Excellent Location. Room size is good compared to many other hotels in Japan. Air-cond it working as many hotels only have heating switch on centrally at the Sakura period so on hot days, it is really hot and stuffy in the room

Hotel sign n in English should be visibe across the road. Took us quite awhile to find the hotel as we do not read Japanese or Kanji.
