It is just steps away from the Shinhotaka Ropeway, excellent location if that is in your itinerary. It will take about 2h from Matsumoto or 1h+ from Takayama by car as it is located right in the middle of the mountain alps. It had very nice sulphurous onsen - both outdoors and indoors.

Everything is absoulte good. Food, service, price and place. We really enjoyed stay in Hotaka. Highly recommend to stay when visitig Okuhida area.
