Great location Gracious host Awesome breakfast Very nice and spacious room and amenities.
A amazing guest ! Very helpfull to organize our trip. She help us to book hotels and ryokan, which we would not be able to find without her. The Japanese breakfast is delicious!
Fantastic host, very helpful and pleasant. The room with the balcony was huge and a great breakfast.
location was a little bit from the main sights....apart from that, excellent value.
The lady running this guest house is so lovely and accommodating. The neighbourhood is very convenient for walking around exploring Nara. Wonderful Japanese feel.
It is extremely difficult to find, from the bus stop. Perhaps provide a more detailed map to get there would take out a lot of anxiety for people new to Nara carrying luggage around.
The owner was really nice. She greeted us with a smoothie and gave some helpful information. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was very spacious with a lovely balcony. The view of the mountains was beautiful!
Wonderful host, unforgetable breakfast - best breakfast we had in Japan trip. Spacious room, welcoming homemade cookies. Wish westayed longer.
Breakfast was great, bedding was very comfortable, location was about 20 minute walk into town, overall it was a very pleasant stay.
We greeted so warmly by our host Meiko Adachi. She had everything ready for us including welcome cake and tea which was delicious. We were accommodated for dinner that night (3 hours later) and were served a veritable feast including prawns, salad, miso, meat and scallops for Y2000. We had dinner in a lovely homely atmosphere with the 2 other guests. Sleeping was on futons with lovely warm doonas. Got up to a gorgeous breakfast of eggs, bacon, ham, soup, fresh juice, fresh baked bread with jams and tea & coffee. We only stayed one night but would happily stay there again being spoilt by Meiko and Moe.
Amazing hospitality from the owner.. My daughter (8) and I had a wonderful stay and cozy time (my daughter felt it's her home!).. We really really enjoyed yummy dishes, everything home-made by the owner.. Amazing! We can't wait to visit very soon! Thank you for everything!
Excellent Stay, great breakfast, Mieko San is a lovely lady and a great cook. Definitely stay again!!
The owner is very friendly and a wonderful cook, and the room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!
The host was very helpful and went the extra mile for me. I misplaced my itinerary at the Nara tourist information office. She went down to the office to retrieve it for me. I was very touched! She also baked delicious cream puff for supper and made excellent breakfast. Wonderful service indeed.
The host was very welcoming and provided us with some amazing "Welcome Cake" on arrival. Very accommodating and the best breakfast we had in Japan. One of our favourite places to stay during our trip.
Slightly hard to find down some winding streets, but definitely worth seeking out.
It was very clean
It felt like I was in someone's spare room.
Hotobil is a small guesthouse with only two rooms. It was very comfortable clean and quiet. The host was a very friendly lady who took very good care of us. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone.
