Opened in December 2013 and situated right in the heart of the lively Kabuki-cho area in Shinjuku, the Granbell Hotel has modern and stylish guest rooms with unique design concepts.

Score from 520 reviews Good
nice facilities in modern area and close to Shinjuku station
From kindness of the staff to hotel facilities, all has to be reported as perfect.
All the reviews I read of hotels in Japan said there rooms were really small. This was the only place where the room was small. But this wasn't a massive issue - I didn't go to Japan to spend time in a hotel room. Apart from that the hotel was of good quality. The staff spoke English and were really helpful. The location was good.
No acces to the pool, gym, wifi even if it is a five star hotel it should be free and the there is no international chanel in the tv
Every thing is fine!
Hotel staff are always pleasant and courteous on any level of servise you desire. I even needed iron around 1' o'clock am. But room servise staff was happy to bring ironing board, when I most needed.
Somehow receptionist found my reservation was cancelled! No sooner manager confirmed our stay, therefore , hotel gave us complementary room wifi service. That was worst and best in 5 minuets.
Location is great. Nice room with view on central park. Very clean.
Breakfast is too expensive. A bit noisy - isolation not that good.
The location was convenient and there was a free shuttle to and from shinjuku station.
There was no free wifi.
Great views of the city. The room was very comfortable
The staff were extremely unhelpful in every way possible. Apart from the bell staff who should be commended for their work. Reception staff poor and rather snooty, house staff again the same and not attentive nor caring for your welfare or requirements. Having stayed in two previous hotels prior to the Hyatt as part of our vacation, it fell far short of the Japanese hospitality we had become accustomed too and what they are renouned for. Having to pay for Internet usage in your room and to pay ¥1000 just to reserve a taxi, totally unheard off in this day and age. Especially when we had booked the Superior King Club room! Disappointed!!!!
Spacious rooms Bed comfy Modern electronic controls of room large wash and blow toilet both tub with separate shower area shuttle bus to train station friendly reception staff
club lounge poor range of foods/drinks staff on club floor less helpful than lobby level no free WIFI WIFI chargeble per device not by room
Good location, friendly staff, clean room, and very nice Japanese breakfast.
convenient, nice staff
no wifi available, need to pay.
good location. Big rooms for Tokyo standards. Wifi competitively priced (3€/day) Also a 2 star Michelen chef !
Poor soundproofing. Had noisy neighbours. Old furniture. The Park Hyatt looks more modern on first sight!
Even the hotel is not so close to the station, but the hotel has a shulttle bus between hotel and shinjuku station which is very convenience.
Great beds with choice of feather or wheat pillow! Easy access to a train station below the hotel.
There's not lots of shops or good restaurants in walking distance so you have to catch a train or walk or taxi to most places.
Convenient shuttle bus to train station made travel to other areas easy.
Location was a bit out of the way for site seeing
Shuttle bus to Shinjuku
Hard beds Expensive breakfast
The staff were really wonderful, helpful and so polite. The food in the restaurants was delicious, beautifully cooked and with lots of variety. The decoration in the rooms, lobby and restaurants was beautiful and elegant. We thought the hotel dhuttle bus was really excellent and always on time.
Our first week was wonderful and our room was large and reasonably priced and you gave us breakfast vouchers in the Caffe restaurant which we loved as the breakfast was beautiful. We were very angry with our second week as we had paid a lot more money for a room in the Regency Club and the room was small and airless and most annoying was that we had to eat breakfast in the Regency Club executive lounge which was very limited to a few boiled eggs and smoked salmon and breads. We felt for a much more expensive room we should have been able to have the breakfast vouchers for the Caffe restaurant again which was much better. We did ask about it at the time but we were told that was the way it was.
very good and quiet location, room size ample, bed quite supple, the hotel shuttle bus, very good housekeeping, front desk service, concierge; airport shuttle, convenience store within hotel premises, free coffee and tea
no master switch for room lights, wifi use should be free,
Location Walkable distance from Shinjuku JR & Subway station . So it is very easy to go anywhere Around Shinjuku station, one can get food even late in the night Shuttle bus service to Shinjuku station - Excellent Check-in & Check- out was easier & fast Good city view from the room Govt Metropolitan building is nearby from where one can hv good view from 45th floor freely
Wifi, Pool, Gym - all chargeble .This is highly meaningless when they charge heavily for rooms Breakfast is too expensive & there is no continental menu Only Japanese items .
Nice staff, great lobby area
The hotel charges for internet/wifi. It's 2014. ridiculous. Travelling through the whole of Japan, this was the only hotel to charge for wifi, and it was the most expensive one we stayed in. Very frustrating. Rooms very small, and very outdated. Stay elsewhere. Breakfast not very good - a lot of things from the buffet were cold.
The staff were very professional and really looked after you.
It would have been nice to have a lounge bar on site to have a relax and drink when you came back to the hotel from a day of touring. The bar prices when open earlier in the day were very expensive so a reduction in these would be helpful.
Great location, provided shutter bus.
This hotel charged 2 week earlier before my departure. No internet access.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very kind and attentif. There is a free shuttle bus to the Shinjuku station.
The access of the swimming pool was not included into the service fare.
Hotel is close to Shinjuku Station, shopping district, nightlife, and walking distance to Meiji Shrine and National Garden. Very comfortable, spacious room.
Extra charge for wifi, though it is quite inexpensive at about $AUD3 per day. Room furniture needs updating; linen, curtains and carpets were fine but cabinetry and tables were old style and need modernising.
