Excellent staff, excellent place, very very clean and comfortable. Very good food. I'd strongly recommend this ryokan to everyone.

It's the best Ryokan we ever went! Great onsen, inside and outside. Superb food. Super+ it was warm which is quite unusual in winter in ryokans.

I was deciding between Iwaso and another ryokan on the island but the half board option made me go with Iwaso. It was worth it--dinner was a five-course affair, beautifully served and very delicious. I'd been living in Japan for three months and I hadn't tried food like that. Breakfast was less grand but I appreciated the convenience of having two meals provided, especially since the island dies at night. The onsen was relaxing of course and the location was great--the ryokan is just behind Itsukushima Shrine and close to the ropeway to Mt. Misen.

There was a 150 yen "onsen tax" included in my bill. Mere pennies after paying for a night at Iwaso, but still.

Amazing traditional ryokan, if you want to experience a traditional ryokan, then Miyajima is the place to be for its magic atmosphere. Iwaso is situated in a very nice area surrounded by a wood where deers are walking free. Hotel is excellent, you can use onsen both indoor and outdoor, dinner is served in your room following th tradition. Kaori is a wonderful attendant. You are given traditional yukata to walk by night through the island. Free shuttle bus to and from the ferry terminal.

We were asked to pay for the drinks at dinner, while we thought "half board" already included them. As they were not that cheap, it would be better to specify during the confirmation. Neither the Japanese, nor the Western style breakfast are so tasty.

I loved this ryokan. I totally recommend, although a little bit pricey, it is totally worthy ! in my trip to Japan, I had the chance to stay in different ryokans with different prices, and this one by far was the best and not the most expensive. The food was superb !! Dinner is served in your room and the service was outstanding ! Breakfast was served in the restaurant and the Japanese breakfast was incredible ! The onsen, or common bath was outstanding...super clean, beautifully finished ! it had everything you could possibly need... If you go to Miyajima, you have to stay here...you won't regret it

Professional service, excellent food (Japanese style). Comfortable and spacious rooms. Kind and helpful staff. At the time of leaving, I left my bag at the hotel to go for a walk in town. Later, on a simple phone call, they delivered the bag free of charge to the ferry terminal, so I did not have to return to the hotel to pick it up.

Die persönliche Betreuung von Nana, die uns alle Abläufe im Hotel erklärt hat und uns nachmittags Tee und abends das hervorragende Essen gebracht und erläutert hat.

Miyajima es un lugar mágico y el ryokan Iwaso el sitio perfecto para disfrutarlo.

Como todo en la vida lo bueno es caro...

Soldi spesi bene per un'esperienza indimenticabile. Consiglierei 2 notti per approffitare appieno della struttura ed il contesto.

Superbe !!! Chambre ryokan magnifique, personnel aux petits soins, on se sent comme à la maison, repas à recommander délicieux...et le Spa/hot bath japonais magnifique : un bassin intérieur et un extérieur :-) très bien situé.

De l'accueil à l'arrivée du ferry, jusqu'au départ ! Emplacement, dépaysement, dans un cadre typiquement japonais, le onsen intérieur et extérieur, très bien équipé, très propre. Diner exceptionnel, traditionnel, servi par notre hôtesse, discrète mais efficace. Pas de salle de bain, mais des toilettes et un lavabo. La salle de bain n'est pas utile, tout se passe au onsen avec tout le nécessaire. Une expérience hors du commun.

Le Check in à 15h00, Le check out 10h00, pas de grasse matinée, les futons sont retirés pendant le petit déjeuner. Salle de petit déjeuner peu intime, il peut il y avoir du monde.

Situation idéale et personnel efficace et courtois.

Les parties communes de l'annexe dans laquelle nous avons séjourné sont à la limite de la propreté, et les chambres loin d'être irréprochables. Quant au dîner, vraiment, un déception au regard de nombreux Ryokans dans lesquels nous séjournons depuis plus de 20 ans au Japon. En résumé, un très mauvais rapport qualité/prix, du uniquement à la situation sur l'île de Miyajima.

建物の外観は古ぼけた雰囲気だが、紅葉谷公園の景観に溶け込んでいます。派手さはなく、質素な佇まいです。- 従業員さんは派手な接客対応をされ事は無いですが、細かく気を配っておられます

Très bonne localisation

La lenteur du service. Le diner japonais était servi en chambre adjacente, mais il fallait attendre plus d'un 1/4 heure entre chaque plat. Personne ne s'occupant de vous. Durée du diner =1h30 Le prix est surfait en comparaison d'établissement de même catégorie.

Der Aufenthalt im Iwaso war unvergesslich schön. Das Hotel ist zwar nicht ganz billig, dafür sind Frühstück und ein mehrgängiges Abendessen, serviert auf dem Zimmer, inbegriffen. Das Hotel ist in einen Park eingebettet und nur wenige Gehminuten vom berühmten Tor im Meer und dem Schrein entfernt. Das Gemeinschaftsbad ist stilvoll und stellt den Hotelgästen edle Lotionen und Cremen zur Verfügung.

Transport was provided, the onsen was clean and the place was really peaceful. The room faces the beautiful park and we really enjoyed it. the night view of the itsukushima shrine made the stay - though expensive, really worth the money.
