Poor rooms. And also could not uynderstand why restaurant close at 1500. The general impression awful! You can not manage the temprature of water in shower. Pipe and fire escape seen from the window, room is dark and do not have normal light. But the most bad is ancient AC, which is too loud
No room window.
This hotel is just 10 metres from the western exit of the Keisei Ueno railway station, which is the terminus for the Skyliner train to Narita Airport. Very convenient! It is also very close to the Ueno metro station, next to Ueno park (including the zoo and lots of museums), and less than 100m from the amazing Ameyoko markets. The staff were helpful and the free wifi was great.
Some rooms have very little view of the sky and would be dark during the day. But they are fine if you just want somewhere to stay overnight.
Location, wifi in lobby
Place is not well maintained and very worn
Right at Ueno station. Very convenient if travelling to Ueno by train. Staff were friendly. Some rooms have shared balcony area looking out onto Ueno park.
Rooms are old and not very spacious.
Hotel is super close to the keisei skyliner which gives you quick access to Narita airport. I stayed at this hotel my last night in Tokyo to make for an easy trip back to the airport. The location is also convenient to Ueno park and Asakusa, if you plan on doing things in this area of Tokyo it's a pretty nice home base. Though I would think you could find a slightly nicer hotel for just a bit more money. The staff was also very nice.
The hotel seems pretty old. The rooms are extremely close together even by Japanese standards and I could hear a lot of what my neighbors were up to. The bathroom was pretty run down, which is again pretty unusual in Japan. I wouldn't spend many nights in this hotel if I had the option, but the convenience to the airport is almost unbeatable.
- Convenient Location - Easy to travel to Narita Airport - Hotel staff are friendly - Make up room service is great
- Rooms are not sound proof - Bathing area seem a little old
Best location around Ueno area, 1min walk frm. Keisei Ueno stn. no mess on transportation direct frm NRT airport
No A/C during autumn, weather still hot in day time.
Just across the road from Ueno Station Park and museums across within 6 mins walk Excellent "Western" breakfast at cafe next door for $7 - $9. Rooms are small by our standards bit good for price you pay
All was what we expected
Very close to the keisei train, jr and subway
Location was ideal for our purposes, by Ueno Park. It is easily to go to Tokyo central on the subway. The facilities were fine and we particularly having access to the microwave oven in the downstairs lobby.
- Great location (just opposite the metro station exit) - Quite spacey rooms (as for Japan of course), clean and new bedding - Tasty breakfasts - helpful staff
- The interior could be renewed. The toilet in our room was quite old and not inviting, though very clean. Also the walls require some painting and some of the furniture is rather "vintage". However, given we stayed there mostly for nights only and it was exceptionally clean in the hotel, this was acceptable.
Room size was little small
Directly opposite one entry/exit of the Keisei line, with direct services to Narita Airport. The bed was comfortable enough for 2 nights.
This hotel is tired and run down and seriously needs some renovation or refurbishment. My "No Smoking" room stank of stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom was shabby and dirty, with cracked tiles and broken fittings. The carpet tiles in my room were grubby and scuffed, and had numerous cigarette burns on them.
One minute to the hotel from Shinobazuno Ike exit.
location near Stn and Park
tobacco smell !
I already rated this hotel. What happened to my submission?
Location very near to station
The hotel little bit too old
Very Quiet Hotel.We love it.
Very good location with good services from hotel staffs. I like twin bedrooms which comfort and clean.
No automatic toilet and poor free wi-fi.
Location is perfect for shopping and transportation. And sightseeing the sakura blossom
Free Wi fi is very poor.
Excellent location. Some rooms with wonderful view to Ueno lake.
Quite old hotel, and the room looks alike. The balcony doors are thin and noise and cold come inside. Enen the twin room is very dense. Breakfast doesn't included. Not recommended for long stay, only for short stay close to the train station.
Bathroom a bit grotty and room very small
