Universal studios shuttle doesn't operate Mon-Fri, only on weekends. This is not mentioned on their website.
If you choose to drive it is approx. 20 mins to universal studios or 15 mins to Kobe Harborland area. With tolls going back and forth.
Parking. Although its free, you have to submit your parking stub from the machine to the front desk prior to leaving. Otherwise, you have to pay for the parking (very expensive). Its not convenient if you plan to go in and out multiple times in a day.
Not a good location for night life. (However we did find a nice small bar with pool tables about a block down!) Very quiet after dark.
Cost.. breakfast is too expensive- book a club room with breakfast included
Top floor restaurant- although the Kobe steak was amazing the entire meal was very overpriced and included a lot of things we particularly wouldn't eat.
We expected a full size steak but received small cut up pieces instead..too delicious to have such small amounts!
Excellent staff though.
Bed is not very plush, a little harder than we like. (However this is typical of most hotels in Japan and did not disrupt our sleep)
Breakfast buffet in the garden café. Good selection and good food.
Sports bar-good drinks and good food
Live Jazz show in the hotel
Location was close to train (attached) there was also an assortment of convenience shops (Family Mart, McDonalds, Tully's coffee) all right next to hotel.
The rooms were spacious by Japan standards
Wonderful amenities in the club rooms!
Staff was very helpful even with the language barrier we were able to communicate our desires
Quiet, clean and comfortable
Staff was able to accommodate our desire to have two non smoking rooms close together.
Smooth check in/out process
Services available: photography, wedding, spa/onsen, in room massages. We didn't use any of these this time but will definitely next time!
We would definitely stay again, even with the location being slightly out of the way.
