location great view friendly staff good price

The view from the room was beautiful and the shared areas were elegant and nice.

The staff was a bit unfriendly. The room for this price was overly beat-up, old used-out furnitures. By foot it isn't easy to get to the entrance and had to climb lots of steps with heavy packages. Recommended to use a taxi or a car.

Swimming pool was great and kids are allowed to enter, for Japan this is not always the case.Breakfast choice is really good,staff are really helpful and friendly,location is peaceful on waterfront yet just a short stroll from train or subway system also a regular courtesy bus to take you to train station.

The hotel was so central to the town of Kobe.The bus shuttle was great. The people were so friendly and helpfull we will be returning and will stay at the hotel.

We like the spacious room and the view of the sea

The WiFi internet connection is very poor. We tried some alternative of connections the staffs gave to us but it failed. Unfortunately, at that time it was an urgent matter for us to connect to the internet.

coffee available early in the morning and to buy or preferably free (for westerners especially) - use to this.

Ease to transportation, sightseeing, restaurants etc and very courteous and friendly staff

a bit far away from downtown shopping, no hotel shuttle for downdown or free transport to nearby train stations, nearby shopping is no good and Canal City has no brand shops at all.

Nice location 10 minutes taxi ride from JR station. We had a beautiful view over the Kobe tower.

We bought non smoking room and got a smoking room. We complained and they change us to a non smoking room. I guess they tried... Definately the hotel needs upgrade and the carpet in the room had a lot of stains...more a 3 star hotels than 4 stars.

I was surprised that families with baby strollers had to pick the baby carriage up and hand carry down the stairs outside the hotel. Nice excalator going up. Nothing user friendly going down to the outside parking lot area. Unless I missed something. Please let me know.

The hotel design is really great with transportation within walking distance from the city loop.The hotel is also close to the Kobe Tower.Further to that the hotel is located within walking distance of MOSAIC which has shops, restaurants and entertainment for everyone.The hotel staffs very helpful and friendly.

The hotel looks like a cruise ship from outside. Balcony was nice and spacious with nice views.

Breakfast (open buffet) had lots of choices but continental was non existent, not even a slice of cheese. Great if you like seafood but otherwise be warned.

Simply the best hotel in Kobe for me. There is a large sauna, steam sauna, 15m warm pool and 2 jacuzzis. You pay 1050 yen for the first time then you get a complimentary ticket for the rest of your stay. The view from the pool on the 5th floor is very nice. The internet in the room is high speed wired cable. You can even play online games like WoW. The breakfast selection is great and it is good to get breakfast included while you book your tickets. It is cheaper that way. You have a morning newspaper on the door handle in the morning. The walking distance to Kobe center is around 10-15 minutes. 7-eleven is the only shop chain for ATM cash machines that work in English with VISA cards. There is one 7-eleven around 10 minutes walk from Meriken Park.

Convenience

Near the pier and the hotel staffs are generally very friendly and can communicate with English.

The car parking arrangement was a bit confusing. In terms of the charge and the availability of parking the 1/F and G/F.

Perfect, japanese standard service, quiet room with balcony. Free shuttle to the city center.

Delightful hotel on Kobe Harbor, just across from Mosaic shopping center and near Kobe Port Tower. Great views of the city. The property was clean, very pleasant and well-staffed with helpful folks.

The shuttle bus from the hotel to Hotel Okura, and then Sannomiya Station was a little inconvenient for sampling Kobe's nightlife, but I'm not sure there's anything to be done about that, since Kobe Meriken Park is well off train and subway lines.

Night view was great.

Hotel did not have exercize facility. Location was inconvenient from shopping area and train stations. Only expensive breakfast buffet was available....no al la carte menu. Wi-Fi was erratic.
